Hey there all. About a week ago I sat down down for the first time to attempt the pin wheel. I had tried before, but only once for about 2 minutes. I was in a good mood and just felt like giving it a go. My friend has been doing the pin wheel too, so that was a bit of motivation. I sat down, put both hands around it and just felt realxed. I then used just one hand, my left, and 'let my mind go'. I wasn't thinking anything at all really. And then it began spinning. I wasn't so shocked because I knew my friend could do it. But at first I didn't believe it. I looked for a draught, couldn't find one.I even went to the extent of covering up my mouth and nose with another piece of clothing while spinning the pin wheel. I can spin it with both my left and right hand. I found that it rotates clockwise with my left hand and anti-clockwise with my right hand. I dont know why this is but it is the same with my friend. After a few more days of experimenting I wanted to be certain. I experimented with blowing air into my cupped hand to make it spin, but thought, if its wind then why does it only start spinning when you reach that right frame of mind?If it was a breeze or a draught created in your hand then surely it would be continuous. I tried stretching my right hand all the way round so that it is almost in the position of where my left hand would be, wondering if it would spin clockwise because thats the way it spins with my left hand. It continued with anti-clockwise. I have also been able to keep it spinning when my hand was almost flat, not cupped. So if it was a breeze or draught created in my hand it would be able to continue because there is nothing to create a circular current to make the paper spin. But I don't know yet if I am a 100% believer...Time and practise will tell....
