I'd like to have that answer too, that's about as far as I can ever get... vivid day dreams where people sometimes talk to me, but then I'll twitch or something and I'll just be in bed laying there...

As said above, no those are not the vibrations you want. I have experienced those too though, but only once. I was in a really uncomfortable position though, so that might have caused it.

People tell you that it feels like an electric current going through your body, but I realized... how many people get electrocuted often enough to remember what it feels like?

I don't suggest sticking a fork in a light socket to get the feeling, but there are some safe ways to get an electricity feeling. If you have a prank/joke shop around town there is a game where 4 players hold on to this remote with a button on it. When the light in the middle console turns red, you have to hit your button first, or you get shocked. If you really want to know what it could feel like, go play that game in the store, and place the remote on different parts of your body for the effect. You will look very strange, but it would work!

The vibrations can be a bit... intense, and you may feel like you are going to get hurt if you continue, but I have never been hurt by them, in fact I have grown to like them. Once you are used to their feeling you can control the frequency of them, slow down, speed up... If you speed them up enough they turn into just this warm sensation all around your body, and you may begin to see light through your closed eyes.

It's an interesting feeling to say the least.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: UNDER 18 AP goers
March 28, 2007, 18:07:11
Hey, I'm new to the forums, my name is Trevor and I'm 17. 18 in a month and 2 days

I began practicing AP close to 6 months ago, and have had 4 total OBE's... none of them were too long or exciting though, usually I just get out of body and then freak out with excitement and lose it.

I have had mixed responses.
I'm in senior year at high school here in Northeast Kansas... pretty conservative place if you dont know.

My best bud who I will room with at college next year was the first one I told when I learned about this stuff, and he was shocked.
He is part of this Unity church and he claims to have told me about it a year or so ago (when i too was very conservative) and that I laughed it off. He got really interested in it again, but he is the lazy type of person who never actually gets enough dedication to start something big like meditation daily. He's really supportive of my beliefs obviously.

Another good friend of mine is very conservative and at first he laughed it off too. When I told him about my few experiences out of body, and read some of Robert Monroe's books to him he changed his mind and now thinks it is a definite possibility, but is not interested in practicing it.

About 10 people that I rarely talk to somehow found out about what I do, and were VERY interested, one of them also began practicing it, but he has recently fallen out of belief in AP. I have actually made friends because of how interesting people think I am now hahaha.

There's only one person that i have not told: my ex-girlfriend that I still talk to regularly. Our relationship ended only because she moved to Texas, so there's still feelings between us.

She is not the type of person who would believe in this, at least I don't think so... Maybe someday in the future I'll "accidentally" let her see one of my books and explain it from there.

Overall, maybe 2 or 3 people that know think less of me because of it, but they were not my friends anyhow.

Hey, I've been watching these forums for awhile, without posting. I finally had an experience worth sharing, so here goes:

(a bit of background on my AP/OBE experience)
I have only left body consciously 4 times, each one progressively longer, and more interesting.

I have studied AP/OBE's for close to a year now, and have worked on it for about 6 months now.

Just a few days ago, I was dreaming about being out of body (i am very sure it was a dream, but maybe i am mistaken) and flying around at work, messing with people because I hate my job. I work with a certain girl who I had a relationship with back 4 months ago. Suddenly my dream faded completely and I was in Focus 10 (mind awake-body asleep). There were no visuals, but I heard her voice softly saying something. I couldnt quite make it out at first, but as i focused it became louder.

She said: "Trevor, I just had a very strange dream about you. I want to tell you about it, but I don't know what's going on right now."

She sounded very confused. Now, this was a first for me, and I was a bit shocked. I stopped doing drugs a long time ago, and there was absolutely no reason for me to be going insane and hearing voices.  :-)

Needless to say, I phoned her up that day:

me: "Hey, did you have a weird dream last night?"
her: *shocked gasp* "umm... yea, why?"
me: "Well, this is going to sound pretty crazy, but you talked to me last night"
"you mean like... i called you in my sleep?"
"no... you talked to me through our dreams"
*silence for awhile* "Trevor, I don't know what to say, but here's my dream: (insert absolutely meaningless, but very strange dream that included me here) "
me: "yea that's a weird dream alright, you said you had no idea what was going on, are you sure nothing else happened?"
*silence* "yea I don't think anything else happened"
"ok, see ya at work!"

So, she talked to me in dream, but I believe she may have either been out of body and extremely confused, or just lucid and confused. She is not into dreams or OBE's at all, and mocks me for believing it all the time, so that would explain the confusion.

What do you all think?
