CFTraveler,
Sorry to take so long to reply.

You ask?
QuoteI believe that a one force or one enitity can posess different beings, and come against one, in this physical life. My experience in this regard has always been very negative and destructive for me, I feel to be a target
sometimes.

Can you elaborate on this? I'm not sure I understand

IMO,if you get a sense of the same circumstance, it can be an enitity or energy before you as an obstacle, or possibly for a confrontation moment (for some reason the receiving person is aware). The person in the physical is being used as the vehicle for this purpose.A person may be used as a temporary channel.

Leyla,
  Collective something or another?I can't say what the Republican Party has to do with it.

It's more of an individual choice, rather than allowing society influence one's behavior IMO.

I'm curious to discover more about the black dots.

Hi Selki,
I haven't had much computer time any more. So, I have to read fast and hopefully come up with a quick response without much pondering (as I did once upon a time :)  ).

Anyway, toward the end of last year and more in this new year, my recalled dreams and experiences have been picking up.

One of these dreams was a levitation dream. My levitation is very traditional, in a lying position in mid air in a room, as if above my bed (bedroom scene).

Besides the levitation awareness, I've discovered that I have quite the command (or control) of my dreams. My dreams always turn out the way I want (involving myself only?). I'm not sure how I developed this? It may have to do with self empowerment or will. A very clear dream I recently had involved me running out of road while driving in my vehicle (my son was with me in this vehicle). I noticed there was no road under my car.I quickly willed my car back on solid ground.I was fine but I noticed my son hanging on the edge of the cliff. He didn't make it. It was horrific to watch him fall off the edge of the cliff. The only thing I could figure is that I cannot control other people's choices, and the results that follow.

I wonder.

Hi Leyla,

VERY INTERESTING,the things you write!

I was thinking along the same lines as you, while reading your first post, in this thread.I was wandering what is happening in your physical life regarding these orbs dots? Then, I saw that you had answered your own question in the second post.

When I read auras, black dots often make their appearance. Only once did the black dots (or orbs as you call it) make a shift (causing a change in my reality). My experience was more toward the sensational, than to be expressed as good or bad. And, if another enitity was involved, I do not know. The black dots (for me) changed from sparkly lights of aura to the sudden shift of dark spots that band together and flashed outward, causing me to be in a new place (in the astral).

I believe that a one force or one enitity can posess different beings, and come against one, in this physical life. My experience in this regard has always been very negative and destructive for me, I feel  to  be a target
sometimes.

The only thing I don't identify with your experience is the part about something or someone keeping tabs on another. It does sound like a vulnerability, which perhaps I don't have, or maybe an experience I haven't had yet.

Hi psilonaught,
Have you ever heard of the book Celestial Prophesies? This reading may help you to understand more about auras.

Telos,
Hi, good to see you posting! Hope things are going well for you.

Off topic perhaps, but a while back in another thread we were talking about the lottery. I mentioned a clear voice that came to me upon awakening at that time. The voice said, "Play the powerball!" Well...there was something to that. I played the "powerball" of action in my life. I'm now on a whole new path! I'm moving to a new location. What a ride I've been on the last few weeks to make this all happen! The voice I heard was prophetic! WOW is all I can say to describe it!

Back on topic:
Along with the knowledge and the REALITY that one creates his/her reality, comes the responsibility and the willingness to see how things happen. Actually, it may be that one has to come to a crossroads in his/her life to decide or question "what is going on here?" I think many, if not most people have a bell going on in their head that this self creation is happening.

For instance, how many times can a person say, or think to themselves, "lucky I didn't take that route to work today", or," boy! was that a close call!", and other such commonly used phrases. There's a pattern and/or theme to each and everyone's life. How can a discerning individual not see it? The only people who don't see it, are choosing to ignore it, choosing ignorance, or choosing a lifestyle of irresponsibility, or even dishonesty or crime. Or put more simply, placing themselves in the victim role. But, this is a little off topic, and not getting to the point at hand.

Wait, maybe it's not so off topic. Let's say...something bad happens to someone. Is it really so scary to dare to question or ponder why that person created that? The answer for the most part is yes. People are afraid to ponder for fear that they will not be spared the same fate. It's alot of fear based thinking (superstition?). When really, it's okay to think on such things. It's the actions or feedback one spreads to others, that causes the reality of something coming back on one (payback). However, there really is no such thing as "payback", just lessons, imo.

I see creating one's reality not just philosophical, but physical as well. One day I was sitting down talking with my mom about our deceased relatives (my grandparents). Knowing their cause of death (though some possible inaccuracy in so called diagnoses), I described to my mother their metaphysical (correct term?) causes of death. She was astound by my accuracy (and insight). Their deaths could be linked to their personality traits, and other such things. It all resonated as truth to her! These were all natural deaths (as opposed to let's say...traumatic, or so called accidental deaths). Where from here? I tend to think that one must not just walk on, but instead, learn from these ancestors (or anyone else, for that matter). Although death has a different meaning to me than the general population, it speaks a message. The message is....prevention is the best cure (regarding health care matters, that is).

I'm not so sure you were directing your post toward this area of interest, so not sure if this applies to what you stated.

leerose's dream

QuoteIt looked like I was in a public place as their was people all over... and their was some sort of bell noise being heard.. and when it rang the second time. all the people we're running including me. but the strange thing was when I looked back. I noticed this one person faded all I could see was a black or purple light....

idea...
A collective or collection of fears (running from?). Many or changing fears.

The bell makes me think of altered state or the subconscious. The fear or running from this...or death (or what people generally see as death).

Are you running with the pack? Society, or should I say populations (groups), have a denial and fear of death!

Gandalf,
Yes on all said about the Tarot cards. I'm only a novice but find it touches on general truths. I have used angel cards for a time. Each card develops into it's own meaning. This, and many other divination methods do seem to help develop intuitive skills. I've found pendulums work in similar fashion, with an added energy factor.

Several years ago I experimented with a deck of Tarot cards. I became frightened by them, I pitched them.

I looked for a crystal ball for the longest time. I couldn't find one. Some time later, I saw them at a Barnes and Noble book store. I passed it up because I no longer felt like doing it. I changed my mind next time I was at the book store. I bought one for when I'm ready to use it. So far, the lighting is never right to see. I haven't had the right environment or focus to give it a good try yet.

It's interesting you are able to get something to come in through a crystal bottle. I've read Edgar Cayce (or was it Nostradamus?), used a bowl of water. I haven't tried this method yet.

The visual is alot like aura viewing.

Hi Lente,

Yes, I tend to believe I create my own reality. Another way of saying it, "I accept responsibility" for my choices and actions.

Interpreting the results of your thoughts and actions are intermingled with other lives. By not interfering with other's choices, you can see the effect of your own choices more clearly. This in turn, will guide your actions. The resulting sequence of events will show you the direction your going.

How you judge (or interpret) your own steps, is up to you.

For me personally, I have little or no concern over other's opinion of me (I'm secure). If there is a negative (a sign of...) effect or result from my "co-existence", I have to look at my place in the universe being off (or out of balance). I either must choose to change (in thinking and action), or move (physically). This is more about an internal "shake-up" than let's say....making things adjust to yourself, where you are now. The goal for me... peace, tranquility, contentment. What others choose, is up to them, as well.

Motivations and intentions of others are insignificant to me. I cannot let other's choices interfer with mine, unless I choose that path for a time.

I have found, by seeking my own path, this same part (or desire), in other people are drawn to me. That part, gets my attention! A confirmation perhaps? Our paths continue however by the way, " to each, his or her's own".

Hope this makes sense. Without a doubt, I do believe we create our own reality. How this plays out in the long run, time will tell.

Your question:

QuoteMost seem to agree that we create our own reality, but not on how we do it.
My above statement explains how I do it. Some people cannot or will not recognize who they are in the universe. There is also a tendency or trend toward dependency and/or co-dependent living in society. These are barriors which must be broken through. Until then, patience and individual paths are the best way, imo.
QuoteDoes positive thinking work,
Only if you understand change or transitions can be a good thing. Bad may be good if it causes something good to come out of it. It's about interpretations or perceptions as you say.
QuoteWhat are the methods for changing reality?
Pretty much the individual path I described above, imo. I know it's been said before, "It starts with yourself". But....until more individuals recognize this "reality" only a few seem to see and understand, it will go down the same path as it always has, in a collective sort of way.

tryingOBE,
Interesting about your dream. I too have to think that you were influenced by seeing these people "on screen"(collective screen), which is similar to our own personal screens. There are always meanings worth pondering, no matter how a dream comes about, in my opinion. Time will tell.

I will share my personal experiences on the same subject. No small subject for sure!

Sorry for the length of my post.  :)

I heard once that when a public figure fades from public view, the general population has a tendency to think that person is dead. I'm not sure what this means (or even if it's true?). This does seem to show me that untruths are possible on a mass scale. I remember a long time ago while I was sick I fell asleep in front of the t.v. On t.v. there was an interview or something about Carly Simon (singer). I was sick and paying little attention to what was being said. I don't listen to Carly Simon's music, and I barely know what she looks like. Anyway, I drifted off to semi-sleep and sick with the flu (or something like that). I heard and watched this program while in this bizarre state. During this program (in my head), Carly Simon died. After I awoke a little while later I really thought C.S. had died, at least I was kind of sure she had died.As time passed I heard something on the media somewhere about Carly Simon, who apparently was very much alive. Hmmmm...I was wrong! To this day this misperception interests me a little. Sick body = false truths?

I have another weird dream experience about George C. Scott (actor). He was also on a t.v. program years ago but I can't remember the name of it. In fact, there was some passing of time before I could connect the face with the name. I had a few repeating dreams of G.C.S. 's persona and physical characteristics. It wasn't until much later that  I did remember the actors name. All I knew was that he was an actor. Once I remembered his name, I looked up his Bio on the internet. There was only one thing that struck a cord with me, something I didn't know about him. He had attended journalism school in the same town I live in. So, I wonder if there isn't an essence of him here that I may have picked up on in my dreams? Or, just coincidence? He could have just shown up in my dreams for the most popularly accepted reason, as a male authority figure.

This is an interesting topic. In my little bit of learning in my few years of dream recall, my personal tendencies seem to be integrating with inanimate objects more than other people.

I can't resist, one more. When I first started with dream recall a few years ago, I had a dream with the guy from the old t.v. show Quantum Leap. I couldn't remember his name (and the name escapes me now). And...why on earth would I have such a weird dream?! The main character (also referred to as star) was standing in this strange place that I find hard to describe in the physical. Afterwards, it was easy to look up his name on the internet, because I remembered the name of the show he was on. There was no connection to him from what I could briefly read up on about him. However, interesting that his brother lived in the same city I grew up in, in years past. Again, essences in passing? As time passed again, I've come to be intrigued on the subject of quantum physics. It's been a hard subject to grasp, but I'm patient with important things. Not long ago while waking up, I remember repeating the words, quantum physics over and over again. So, what prompted the earlier dream? Still a mystery to me!

GeKKo,
This subject has been discussed? Do you have a link? I would be interested in reading what else has been posted.

Edgod,
A false awakening. The twilight zone or psychic time of experiences.

A swarm of mosqitos are astral wild life. Astral wildlife is mentioned in Robert Bruce's Psychic Self Defense.

What do mosqitos do? They attack the skin and cause hurt. I'm not sure if being around your face is pinpointing an area or not.

The face has to do with facing fear. There are alot more possibilities. These are what came to mind to me.

I wonder about the coughing. If I think of something I'll make an addition.

Welcome to Dreams! / White Dreams
April 27, 2005, 16:23:17
This may have been a white dream. Last night I dreamed I am walking along, to my left on this large cement patio set high above the ground is a small child. The child was standing toward the back of this platform. The child smiled and waved at me....I kept walking (thinking, the kid seems safe distance enough, from the edge of the patio).

I then travel around the corner. I see two small children lying still at the bottom of this in ground pool. Immediately, (I think, where are the parents!?). I become aware I'm dreaming at some point. I dove in, grabbing both kids with each arm. I couldn't see the kid in my right arm.I could feel movement from him/her, felt like a coming back to life. In my left arm is my daughter. She was three (while in the water) but yet the age is harder to tell while I held her above the water. I stared looking at her. I knew she was okay, but not seeing (or knowing) the outcome of this. She had a light spattering of blood across her face. Her color is good.In fact, she was the only thing in this dream in which has color, the rest of the dream is in all white.

It took me a while thinking on this dream. The white part of the dream is me. The color has to do with another, including me.

Just had another thought, the date of this dream is on the eve of the eve of my daughter's birthday.

Welcome to Dreams! / my dream

bunnyfoofoo,
Interesting dream. The nausea from it makes it all that more interesting. I connect with the symbols in a "I can't quite grasp it" sense.

I will look at the symbols more. Many of the symbols are mystic like. Many dream interpreters take this route. There are many other possible dream meanings. Many movies take a mystic route (sorry...haven't seen the movie).

I can list common symbols if you like. They are my own, as well as from dream books.

Jail is a terrible place to be. My son was in one. He saw a horrific scene take place while he was there!!!!

Selski,

Quotewhen I go into a shop, I have to tell myself which way to carry on walking when I leave the shop, otherwise I'll just walk back on myself without realising!! I wonder what that's all about?

Okay, I think I'm beginning to understand what you mean. Could it be your just sensitive to your environment and all the continuous changes taking place right before your eyes, in some way?

One of my friends and I have taken notice of trends along these lines. My friend wants to move on but is drawn toward the mystery of her synchronicity with people where she grew up. I'm drawn to the same thing in an environmental sort of way. It's not so confusing as being able to understand what is going on, imo.

Please say so if I'm on the wrong track of what your talking about, Selski.

Hope this makes sense. This gal is also my aura reading subject  :) . She is beginning to read auras too! I need to post our last session somewhere. It was very interesting. I believe auras are closely related to dreams, if I'm stating this right.  :)

Welcome to Dreams! / White Dreams
April 22, 2005, 12:01:23
The past few days I take a few minutes to read through my dream journals. There was one dream entry I had made a note at the end that this "may have been a white dream". Maybe I should have placed it here, for the simple reason I haven't run across another yet! If I see it again, I will.

The first time noticing a white dream was actually in a waking lucid dream.I was either in or observing a vehicle driving. The vehicle drove off into a thick white fog. The dream or dream state then ended abruptly.

Another "traditional" dream I had much later doesn't require a detailed look in my dream journal. It was simply a white environment. I am flying through this white tube netting. Parallel to my flight is a white Dove. We flew in and out of this loose net tube. It was a great dream.

The white net and the white Dove could be seen though the entire rest of the scene is just as white. It could be the slight shading difference that makes it possible to see?

My kundalini experiences had a similar end with this kind of light (as these listed dreams).

Welcome to Dreams! / Polarity Flip Maneuver
April 17, 2005, 15:38:08
One of the questions I had when coming to this forum was this. Why are astral and other strange happenings associated with what I had discovered has a mysterious state of being. I would find myself in the opposite direction I am physical laying (while asleep or in trance).

Then one day I was actually able to catch my spirit body do this maneuver. It was a somersault performed by my astral self. The only other person who knew about this was upstream. He had a name for it. He is familiar with the maneuver and also is experienced at the same activity. BTW, I've become somewhat familiar with what my spirit body looks like now, though this has nothing to do directly with this subject.

I'm placing this dream here because upstream is looking for more information on this topic. While running through some old journaled dreams I came across this dream which seemed to show this polarity flip maneuver in it twice. Another interesting aspect of this dream is that I was clearly out of body while in the basement of my friend's house. When I told her about being in her basement in my dream it was as if she wasn't surprised. She described the basement and it fit what I saw, a newly constructed area. I didn't tell her about the young girl at her house(or the guy :) ). I didn't make the connection until I happened across this dream entry the other day. Her grandaughter died from unknown causes some time after this dream. Her grandaughter was found one morning lying next to her bed not breathing.

The dream:0115 5/4/02  Saturday AM

Jim (never met..internet friend who interprets dreams) is at this table to left of room. I'm sitting at right of room. We're watching these slides on a large screen.

I'm in this room, there is a young girl in bed sick. I am with her. She has oxygen on, suddenly she stops breathing. First she is at one end of the bed then she's at the other end. I call for help.

I'm in this house. Sara (an older woman I work with) is there. The others I don't recall. I get introduced to a young girl. It is the young girl who died in the previous paragraph. Blonde hair.A surgical scar on her chest. The scar is in the form of a square or patch.

Sara and someone went some places. To get there, they levitated, an open window close each time. I attempt this myself.

I'm in bed or a couch. I awake to the sound of someone creaking down some stairs. I thought I was staying at Sara's house. I start to get up only to find I'm lying next to a man (sleeping). He started to rustle around from my movement. He had a double at the other end of him, but I couldn't see well due to what seemed a left sided blindness.I thought maybe he had discovered the shock of me being here too. My hand is in his beard. I lay there frozen not knowing what to do.Who I think is Sara is still creaking down these steps. I start thinking this is funny. I'm about ready to sneak out of this situation.

I awake again, this time I could only guess where I am. I awoke to find myself at home here. It hadn't occured to me until awake.

Anyone familiar with what I've experienced as white dreams?Markulous in Astral discussions described one of these.
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18441

It motivated me to list a few myself. At first I wanted to summarize the dreams and post it. Then I thought,no...it may be best to write the dreams out word for word. Maybe it would encourage a discussion in mind language instead of what our waking self may re-interpret and possibly edit in summary.

This is the first dream I've run across.

                          White Metal Animal

7-16-2001
A bunch of us in this room, a man was working with large animal, can't remember. It's white. Room is white. The directtions are we are not to be here. Not to disturb this large thing. I was looking at it from the rear-end. It may have a white cover. Everyone runs out of the room. I follow but slowly, looking at this animal for movement. It didn't move. I am prompted or prodded somehow to leave here. Just as I leave I give one final look back, no movement.Later I look in, I see this animal and a couple of metal things. white of course. Then back again, the white things and a small t.v. with an antenna. I leave again.

Will post more white dreams when I find them in my journals.

By white dream, I'm meaning a dream with everything in it is white.

More to follow...Is there anyone who can post their own white dream or dreams?

* I am a very brave person. I'm placing this post while being stalked by a bumble bee. This bee is hiding under my table as I type.  :)

VesAn,
Yes, Very interesting, and touching too!

I've had a few occasions while out and about during the day. I will see someone in a crowd and have a strong sense of caring for them. I have a want to protect the total stranger, an instant love sort of thing. It's a good feeling.

Hope you have more of those kinds of dreams.  :)

Dansk,
Quoteas long as I'm stuck on this island I might as well learn the paths
Quite profound! Interesting you say paths, as in, more than one.

My dreams escape me. I am aware of alot of higher thoughts while dreaming. It's good that you can bring some of your thoughts back with you.  :)

Sekski,
Oh yeah, I adore dreams too!!!!Someone like me should have more to remember than the few I get to recall.

Quotewhen I go into a shop, I have to tell myself which way to carry on walking when I leave the shop, otherwise I'll just walk back on myself without realising!! I wonder what that's all about
Do you mean you draw a blank? I've never heard of "walking back on myself", do you mean you project spontaneously?

The subject of this thread is much bigger than what can be contained in a few lines of conversation. This is a very interesting subject.

Well, true on the time factor when journalling. That's why I've never gotten around to typing up my dreams. I stopped making a separate journal for waking experiences. I just started making notations in my dream journal after a while (so later I could recall the experience better). It's still an interesting experience if you haven't done it yet.
#23
Upstream,
I hope you find this. It may mean little...but..I found a dream journal entry I made in 2002. This dream had some interesting elements in it. This one dream had two examples of what appeared to be the flip maneuver in it by dream characters. It also was a definite oobe for me. Another intriguing part of this dream was that the story of the little girl dieing in it, actually happened to the grandaughter of the woman I was visiting in this dream (after the dream).

I'll place the dream in the Dream section when I can.
#24
Okay markulous. Now I must gather my dream records and put them in chronological order. This is quite a task. I was a little concerned about finding all my dreams (recorded). I've found all except for the first year.

I am hopeful. Oddly, one of the white dreams I especially wanted to find (because of the details in it) showed up on my dresser next to my bed yesterday. This is why it's quite a task getting these pages together. The pages come out of the notebooks and get displaced. I have learned to make sure the date including the year are on all my dream entries.
