Thanks for sharing that with me.

I don't think having my cat around is really going to hinder the process at all, unless she notices my astral body floating upward and does something to wake me up or break my concentration. However, I have decided to put her outside the room while I'm practicing, at least for a while, because I live with two or three other college-type roomies and quiet time is scarce. Also, I'm genuinely afraid of what my cat could do if I really startled her...   I don't know if it's running around on tile floor all day or what, but her claws are the sharpest of any cat I've ever had and I don't want any more scars.   :-P

Apparently, we now have the option to buy an environmentally friendly substitute for those little plastic forks, knives, etc...   What's the big deal?  It's made out of POTATOES

The cutlery is reusable and dishwasher safe, yet it will bio-degrade in just 180 days or so.

and yes, I checked....    they do have sporks.   :-D

I am a total newbie to the world of astral projection, and I haven't had any success at it yet. Which is why I decided to post this possibly absurd question before wasting any valuable practice time...

Obviously, having a pet running around the room is distracting, and the simple thing to do would be to shut that pet out of whatever room I'm attempting to project in.

But say, for instance, my cat is asleep on top of me...   not moving or working her claws into my skin or anything... just chillin on my stomach while I'm attempting to leave my body.

Do you think the presence of the cat could somehow interfere with my attempt?
