"Astral projection" falls under what the Chinese call "extended human functions"(including, but not necessarily restricted to, mind-on-mind telepathy and biocommunication, 4D-object materialization, mind-matter interaction effects[recognized as telekinesis or psychokinesis, in various forms], clairvoyance, remote viewing, etc). Stookie is right; it is a latent ability. Then again, so are all so-called "psychic powers." I would avoid categorizing these abilities as "psychic," since the word tends to connote the abilities as anomalous. Actually, none of them are anomalous behavior, in the sense today defined and attributed by present day science. On the contrary, it appears these abilities/behaviors are a logical and necessary expansion of a kind of energetic metagenome that is literally superposed upon all DNA.

I think that aliens have an intimate knowledge of states of consiousness and can influence them if they wish.  Some people have talked about their alleged obductions and stated that they just floated up out of their bed and out through their window.  I think examples like this could be intrepreted as aliens inducing oob states in some people as a form of contact.

Also, many offworlders are capable of mapping out an individual's fundamental sensorial algorithms, which they can use to cause you to experience virtually anything they wish(whether it be sights, voices, touches, etc etc).

In such instances it's good to query that fourth brain of yours(the one in the gut) to discern what is "real" and what is "unreal." These are relative terms, of course.

Going on second-hand knowledge from my grandfather(a 33rd degree Freemason) and another Freemason I know, Freemasonry isn't much more than a social fraternity whose purpose is to uplift the average man as an upstanding citizen of society. There are, of course, "bad potatoes" in the bag, as with any group, especially large, 'secret' ones.

Esoteric systems such as Qabalah and Hermeticism are not stressed bodies of knowledge, but the higher you go, the more 'branches' off to other groups and paths you have, and these may teach such systems. I am a member of a Golden Dawn order, which is probably one of the more prominent 'secret societies' that is focused primarily on esotericism. Funnily enough, the Golden Dawn is rarely included in the category of 'world-dominating secret societies' like the Freemasons or even the Ordo Templi Orientis is.

Hello Astral Pulse!

I was around here briefly back in the 2004-2005 period under a different handle which escapes me at the moment. I am a biophysicist working with a group of some 45+ research and theoretical scientists interested in discovering how Nature is and how Nature works beyond the confines of the Standard Model. We use a proprietary technology to explore Nature as an energetic manifestation in which causation is dual - upward and downward. This technology is a scientific procedure by which the living matrix of a human can be induced to produce a stable harmonic resonance copy of its original physical body's "aura." This is done by a combination of polychromatic and several single frequency range lights in tandem with low-power magnetic fields inside an especially engineered, highly conducive medium safe to human exposure. Or in other words, it is a technology-assisted protocol for achieving astral projection. The work of this group has generated a very interesting cumulus of information which we call the Working Model, and the applied technologies of this Working Model removes the boundary between science fiction and reality!

One thing to consider is that the Mayan calendar, like the Aztec calendar, is circular. Is it finite, then? Or merely cyclic, starting over after the 2012 date, much like we are about to "start over" our calendar at the end of this month?

This "Quantum Gap" is the vacuum where "virtual" particles are constantly appearing and disappearing, is it not?
