Hi.  I take wellbutrin and I am also trying to project.  I have not really had a conscious projection yet but some interesting experiences (like falling out of my body but couldnt see, but I felt like i rolled onto the floor).
This is just my opinion, but I think that you can still project while on an antidepressant.  It just depends where your thoughts are and how you control them.  It may make it a little harder (or in my case i think it may be easier since i can relax easier).  I don't know what you can do to get there but I would keep trying.

I think it just depends on where your thoughts are.  Make sure they are away from your body when you are trying to project.

good luck!

it seems like people often report having blurry vision and no control.

when you are out, try saying to yourself or outloud: clarity now!
see if that helps

by the way good job on your progress! :-D

I'll give this a try, sounds painless ;) I've tried "early morning" techiniques before - get up 3-5 hours later-with half of the time, interesting results.  We'll see what happens.  I have had the problem of no motivation when i get up in the night, as well as very hard time concentrating but i think I am waking up in th middle of my deepest sleep. Maybe that's why.

Thanks for the tip...

yes it is definately progress. If it happens again, I'll try to will myself to think more clearly and be more collected, see if that helps.  I'm glad at least something is happening, means I'm getting closer

Thanks for your reply ;)

thanks for your reply.  Cool!
Its just the fact that I have felt similar things but its in the middle of sleep so there is no in between-
like I wake up then I project- it is very sudden and disorienting a little bit.

thanks, I"m glad I am making some progress.  It has been about two weeks since I started this venture.  Which I know is really good.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / question
March 04, 2008, 13:46:49
Last night I was doing some (AP) exercises and then fell asleep.  Sometime after, not sure how long, I rolled off my bed(which is a mattress on the floor), then started floating up against the wall on that side of the room.  I realized this was happening, was a little scared but not excessively. I realized I couldn't see so I opened my eyes and I was lying on my bed.  Can't really tell if it was a dream, not, or maybe a half dream or something.
I can't tell if it was a dream because I couldnt really see while I was floating.

Anyone had any similar experiences or can tell me if they think i was projecting?
The thing is, the feeling of rolling onto the floor was VERY real but I couldn't really see.

If i wasn't projecting, it was definately lucid dreaming which I could use to project anyway, i think.
Let me know what you think...

the feeling or seeing of big small on small wires...i have had similar sensations.. I call them fever dreams...
it is in the way I am visualizing things that gets me into that type of "big feeling" which can be uncomfortable
but just tune your awareness out of that sort if you can

i'm gonna keep trying though

i've never astrally projected but seems to me if it seemed "real" then it was astral projection and if it seemed dreamlike then it was lucid dreaming

have fun!

Day 7

-got numbness and stiffness after a short while but was very exhausted from the day and soon just fell asleep

Day 8

-numbness and stiffness took a while to achieve but got it and it held the same intensity for a long time
-after my body was completely numb I didn't know where to go from there
-i kept picturing my astral body floating up and my consciousness going with it
-very strong numbness in face
-Started to use a countdown method to free my astral body which worked VERY well in intensifying the numbness and my face because very numb and muscles started to spasm
-I began to visualize my route to school that I take and found it very easy to picture it almost as if i was there or i was a floating ball just observing everything
-I kept repeating "my astral body is detaching from my physical inch by inch second by second, minute by minute

Day 9

-very tired and couldn't visualize well
-soon fell asleep but managed to get my body numb all over and stiff
-when i woke up in the morning I tried harder then instead
-got VERY numb and stiff for a long time
-Didn't know what else to do
-didn't get mush of a rushing feeling so I just quit after a long while but got very numb and stiff

Welcome to Astral Pulse Island! / theta state?
February 20, 2008, 22:25:41
Hi I was wondering if anyone knew if the state i reach when I feel deeply relaxed and start to feel the vibes, numbness and tingling, and feeling like I'm looking inward or an inward energy is growing
could be considered the theta brainwave state (whew, that was a long sentence).

I can reach this state fairly easily and was wondering if maybe I could do some self hypnosis while there
...might as well... ;)

thanks

from my reading on the subject, if it seemed very real it was probably an astral trip of some sort

by the way your English sounds a lot better than some other people on here who speak only english :-D

your conversation is very interesting

I am in a similar spot as dalearner, I haven't actually felt an out of body anything(be it arm, leg, head)
though.
I can just get the vibes and start to feel stiff/numb and some slight rushing feelings now and then
it sort of feels like I'm looking within. some times it will peak intensely.

Not sure what to do from here, when i get into this state i just keep repeating: "now I am out of body"
visualization helps but only gets me so far...so far anyway-

I've only been doing it for a bout 5 days so thats pretty good in my book

Each night, though, it seems I get a little further and something new happens
Like last night after i fell asleep I woke up with the most intense vibrations yet.. startled me very badly since I woke up with it
it eventually wore off though.

All in time I guess

;)

peace

Day 6-

-took a while but then started to feel stiffness and "energy" or vibes or something
-head started to feel a lot of pressure
-noticed that I can bring on the same feeling as a fever dream, where i feel "big" or "too big" but then i can will it to go away (very interesting)
-stiffness intensified as I envisioned myself in the kitchen opening the refrigerator (lol)
-willed my body to not get so stiff when the vibrations or feelings started and peaked, was pretty successful doing that
-wasn't sure what to do next so i just held it and keep repeating "now I'm out of body", or "god take me out of body" or now i'm surrounded by love and light and floating above my body"
-after a while I decided to go to sleep

Very Strange:
-unlike any other night I woke up (not sure how much longer after, could have been half an hour could have been 3 hours") I felt VERY intense vibrations, bouncing motions and rushing feeling
-I encouraged it bit it eventually it died
-was mostly very startled by it since it woke me up
...interesting
was I coming back from a trip, trying to leave, .....
?
-I was also on the floor when I woke up (physically I believe, it was dark but I didn't see my body when I climbed back in bed...my bed is a mattress on the floor in case you were wondering if I fell out)
not sure how i ended up there

peace and love

Hi my name is che and I am starting a journal here about my experiements and experiences with out of body travel.
:)

I have been interested in this subject off and on for a short while and decided it was finally time to try it out for myself instead of just reading about it.

Based on my reading (several different books and internet sources) I came up with my own ritual or way of going about achieving it (hopefully it works)
It includes(in order):

(before you go to bed)
-Taking a shower to relax
-write in a notebook 20 times "now I am out of body"
-Chanting the word "HUE" (pronounced Hugh) for 4 to five minutes with eyes closed sitting on bed.  Deep breath in all the way and release saying huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeee
-Wait a few minutes and relax
-Chant S-O-U-L   T-R-A-V-E-L  letter by letter, 3 times out loud and 3 times silently
-Lie down facing upward with hands at side and silently chant "now I am out of body" over and over again....until you reach out of body
- when you start to feel anything:
-picture yourself standing in another room
-picture a very big ring of golden energy above you and let it float down into your body energizing your body over and over again
-request assistance in lifting out of your body

day 1 through 4 i felt:

-tingling
-bouncing motion
-a feeling of inner motion
-sweating, heartbeat faster(probably because of being startled by the feelings)

On day 5:

-sweating
-feelings of inner motion or a feeling of "something happening in my body" like some sort of energy
-tingling, very extreme stiffness-(possibly numbness also)in my arms and hands then throughout my body
-stiffness lasted for as long as I kept saying "now I'm out of body"
-stiffness persisted for very long and began to peak and my body began to shake a little bit
-I wasn't sure what to do next so i just kept this state for a long time and tried to "lift out" lol

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
if anyone wants to try soul travel this way
please feel free to respond i am having some interesting things happen but no out of body yet (that I know of)...but still pretty amazing progress so far ;)

I will keep you posted on my daily experiences

One question I have is if anyone else has had the extreme stiffness and physical shaking, i've heard of astral catalepsy but im not sure if that relates to stiffness
also what to do after you feel it for a long time

enjoy

che
