Messages - Venus_Goddess_of_Love

Excellent topic. I also don't know who exactly does the thinking. My physical brain, which is supposed to be a vehicle? my consciousness/soul? my higher self? How does the thought get into my head in the first place? I know we're affected by our environments and we pick up subliminal messages. Still, who processes these and initiates an emotion or a drive to act/speak?

I guess we all agree on that one thing. Whatever it is, noone will do it for you. You and only you can change things. But, change doesn't have to be good/positive thing. It can always be worse.

I would like to ask you Venus_Goddess_of_Love, if you have met your spirit guides, have you met the higher self as well?
Change is always good. If you have a good experience, great. If not, you learn from it and will know better next time.

I don't think one "meets" one's higher self. One merges. If you've had a full blown OBE, you'd know what I'm talking about. When I merged with my higher self in an OBE, I felt like I was a much bigger version of myself. Smarter, faster, wiser...  I knew things and places that I don't know in this life. But I knew that it was me. I think some people are able to do this when faced with imminent danger or when they reach a certain level of meditation.

Best,
Venus

Hey, thanks for the response. We can definitely agree to disagree. I do not associate self belief with ignorance. I think we humans have immense potentials in creating our lives and co-creating our world. Just because we are not yet able to do it easily, or at all, doesn't mean the potential is not there.

Also, although Freud was a genius in his time, he didn't really get it all right. That's why his students, Carl Jung etc, left him to study humans as holistic beings, as clients, not as patients as Freud used to refer to them. He was a bit nuts actually. His ideas are not compatible with current thinking.

If you really want to find out about who or what you really are, ask yourself through meditation. The answer is inside you. Not out there. It's certainly interesting to read about and discuss others' views but YOUR truth is within you. (NB. There may be many routes to the truth, and they're not necessarily right or wrong. But some may be long routes, others short. You choose.)

All the best

When I first joined up I wanted to meet those spirit guides, well my spirit guides and inner self. I was so excited. So happy. Now as time passes, I'm losing will to meet them. I was alone, guess I still am. (not asking for sympathy). Maybe I'm being too childish, but if I meet them long after everything, I will honestly tell them to go screw themselves.

Hey @IsayWhaat, thanks for sharing. We all have fear of the unknown. It is human nature. We're just wired that way - for self-protection since we were toddlers. So don't beat yourself up.

A few comments on your story...
- our spirit guides are more evolved than us earthlings and have a higher purpose for us. It may seem sometimes that we've been abandoned (I certainly feel like that), but remember that we are here for a reason. We decided to come to earth to learn new things, overcome our fears, be more compassionate, realise our one-ness and evolve like everything else in the universe. So we can't expect our spirit helpers to pop round whenever we want. We need to be independent as much as possible. If they don't appear to you when you ask, don't think they're not listening. They want you to do your own research, and be proud that you did it 'all by yourself' even if you didn't.
- they're not humans and don't have human egos, so if you tell them to go screw themselves, they're not going to be offended or stay away from you. They understand why you're feeling that way and won't lash out. Save your energy.
- do some soul searching on why you feel this fear. Remember that you also have a higher self, which is a part of you that is more connected to higher astral planes, that you can always call on in such circumstances. Best way to connect is through meditation. Put aside some 'me time' and meditate with a candle and soothing music before you go to sleep. INTENTION IS KEY. When you meditate, 'intend' to sleep in peace, visualise meeting your guide, visualise yourself being content. EVERY ACTION STARTS WITH A THOUGHT. Control your thoughts and you will control your actions.
- you have full ownership and control of your energies, your thoughts and your body. Choose to keep it that way. Do not allow fear to take over. The beings that you feel or see around you may be fragments of your imagination, or real. I don't know. But they are only able to get to you because you're 'unconsciously' allowing fear to take over. Again meditation would help you control fear. Shower yourself with protective light, magnificent bright white healing light that fills every cell in your body. Believe that you are protected from any low vibration energies. Know, intend, decide.... Take control. If you haven't done this before, go join a meditation class. It's fun, and you will meet likeminds.
- try to have a positive state of mind, always (easier said than done, but possible). Consciously stop and say thanks to the universe, whenever things work out for you, however small. Energy acts like magnet. Positive attracts more positive. Whatever state of mind you are, the universe gives you more of it.
- finally, food for thought "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear"

Hope this helps.

My guess is that you may be out of your body but you have not opened your etheric eyes. In the past, I have felt my etheric eyes open when I knew my body was in a sleep state and my physical eyes were closed.

My astral vision gets clearer when I do 'third eye' or 'brow' chakra meditation. I suggest you do meditation focussed on your third eye before you go to sleep. I'm sure you know how to open chakras etc.

sounds amazing! I think when our guides turn up and help us through new experiences, the key messages are, do this often, how to do it, and/or how to do it better. So if I were you, I'd try to make it happen again, consciously, using the spoon method.

I wanted to meet my spirit guide(s) but was unable so far. I'm really happy that someone else succeded!  :-D

You will meet them! I asked so many times. You cannot imagine.... The few times I had contact in the past, either I couldn't see them (only feel them), or they take a friendly shape like a baby. Once I went to sleep, then woke up in the other world, to find myself being taught telekinesis by someone sitting in the dark. Couldn't see who it was. Another time I woke up in mid flight towards a light in a tunnel. I felt a presence, turned to my right and there was a baby! I thought that's not really a baby guiding me in a wormhole of some sort! Lol. Well this time, I saw half a face and held his hand. So that's progress! :-)

The wow factor is off the scale when you do. They know more about you than you do or so it seems and all those questions you form while physical melt into meaningless words.
It's 'rather pleasant' too. The OP says it all.

Spot on. Felt like a family visit. The smiles and unspoken understanding between us, and the love and care they showed me, were more than I've ever known. It was like 'we love you unconditionally, we are your true family'. Also, as I was "awake" I consciously asked to hold my guide's hand, esp as I had a bit of fear in me as it was a new experience... I deliberately noted the feel of his skin, and it was like human skin, warm and plump. I had a million questions but there was a lot going on so just took comfort that he was supporting me, and took my attention to the others.

My spirit guides, 5 of them, turned up around 40 mins ago, when I was half asleep and half awake.

My body vibrated before that, and I wished to have an OBE. Then the first one appeared, seemed to wrap himself in my bed sheet as he stood tall on the bed and looked down at me. I saw half his face and knew he was my helper. He was young. He had a knowing smile, sat next to me and held my hand, at my prompt, to reassure me. It was like he read my mind.  The next one came over as if to introduce himself and walked away. He had a lovely smile, smooth skin, bold head. He was wearing a Greek style cloth along one shoulder. The other three were coming down the stairs when I snapped back to this reality.

So overwhelmed. I cried tears of joy and can't stop thanking them. I needed the reassurance. Just had to share it with someone!

----

Ok, so I had one day to digest this amazing experience. I now understand that my body vibrated involuntarily with external help. I tried to get out of my body but couldn't. So they came to me instead. I also understand my main guide was the first one who appeared and sat down next to me. The other one who greeted me was also a guide but probably not the main one. I think the other three who were coming down the stairs from an opening in my bedroom ceiling (!) were departed family members - two men and a lady, their mother. I didn't get a chance to see their faces or speak to them but could tell their gender from their clothes. I've been feeling very strange all day today, pulptation etc... something energetically different but can't really put my finger on it :)

Anyone had a similar experience?

Hi guys, first thing this morning, I felt a wave of energy in my room. This is something like the third time I've felt it this week, and each time I sat down to meditate and felt very strong energies. I haven't meditated in a while so it was surprising how quickly I managed to get into it.

Anyway, I decided to follow my instincts this morning as well, got out of bed, went to the living room, lit a candle and sat down in silence and swiftly went into a meditative state. I asked who it was that was around me. I kept on seeing a cave and a temple. I asked for a name. And a word that sounded like n'phlim was formed in my mind. I asked if this was a name or a message. Then I saw a typical Egyptian image of a man standing on the side. I asked what this meant. Who is this? But I couldn't get any more answers had the feeling that I was jumping to conclusions and being closed-minded. So I asked myself, why am I hooked on a name? n'phlim could be a clue to a message that someone wants to give me?? So I ended my meditation and quickly consulted the internet. Google gave me several results about the Nephilim - of course! I clicked on a Youtube video. And there I learned about stuff that I previously resisted. Only two days ago, I had a conversation with a friend in which I played down the idea of Sumerians predicting that a new planet will be found - Nibiru. In the video was a stone relief thousands of years old, with Nibiru on one side. There were other things in the video and other search results that also answered several of my questions. Amazing.

The morale of the story is, follow your gut instinct. If you feel you are being summoned, sit down and go deep within and communicate with your helpers! I really think that we now have more access to the other side. It must be the move to Age of Aquarius! Good luck with the energetic shift tomorrow, everyone!

Thanks for reading.

Venus :)

Thank you! Yes it was. I don't think I've ever been given so much love in my life. It was pure unconditional love.

Hi Lionheart, thanks so much for your response. That sounds right. Yes I think I needed affirmation. I am going through one of those times when I wonder what all this is about. Sometimes the world just doesn't make sense to me! I will try and contact him again and ask those questions. Best wishes, Venus

Hi everyone! I haven't posted for a while but have been lurking  :-D

Well, something amazing happened early this morning. I came home late last night and it was around 3.30am by the time I went to sleep. I was falling fast asleep, and then waking up again and slowly becoming aware that there was someone on top of me, holding me tight (maybe a bit too tight) with his hands on both sides of me. He was so close to me I could feel his breathing. I opened my eyes and saw his neck and shoulders right above me, moving in the rythm of his breathing. I realised then that I had actually opened my astral eyes, not physical, and this person was in the astral. And although he was holding me tight, I sensed a lot of love coming from him, so was not afraid. There was a familiarity to this person. I also understood that he did what he did to wake me up to the astral and to tell me I am not alone and that I am loved. As soon as he knew I was awake/aware in the astral, he gently pulled away and sent me a mental message that we will meet again. I asked to see his face and saw his face which I seem to recognise from somewhere. He made emphasis on his eyes, so I would recognise him when I see him in the physical world - I think (not sure about this bit). He was then on his way, though I just didn't want him to go. He shook my hand and I kissed it -did not mind the humility. And then he was gone.

I woke up in the physical and noticed it was 4.20am. I was very emotional for the next few minutes. Who was he? Why today? etc etc. There isn't a flicker of doubt that it was all real, except I am still asking - was this someone in OBE, or in the other world? But what was so clear and great is the technique he used to wake me to the astral. So very cool. I also remember someone telling me in the past that the time between 3-4am is when the veil between the two worlds is thin, so the best time to project.

I'd welcome any help with interpreting this experience, or the questions above.

Cheers
Venus  :-)

Hey Voyager, don't worry about the "doubting Thomases". I think you are legit, definitely not a story teller. Have you tried to get in touch with Aysha? Maybe she still have your number?! And another thing, in your meditation, ask your Spirit guide to help you understand the situation. Good luck with your search :)

Thanks both. Two words stand out for me, from what you said, peaceful and futuristic. They would describe my experience. Cheers x

Hi guys, one morning in mid-October 2011, I woke up then dozed off for a few minutes again (best time for projection, apparently). During those minutes I was transported to a place that is nothing like I have seen on earth - and I have travelled far and wide. Basically, it was a very modern city and I was being driven into a building, so big, that it was more like a city on its own. You can drive around it and there is parking space branching out of the driveway on each floor. People worked, shopped and lived in this building.  It was very peaceful and families were driving around living their normal lives, while I was overwhelmed and stunned with it all.  It was warm weather, bright and the streets were very very clean.

I've tried to draw this building on Paint (can't attach, will try again). Does it ring a bell in anyone's mind? Have you been there in your astral travels, dreams, or on a seen it on a different planet in another incarnation?

This place is real. That much I know. (Later, it reminded me of the 'tree city' in Avatar, only this one is a modern building, but same theme.)

Looking forward to comments and responses!

Love, Venus xx

oh yes and I forgot to mention one thing that really strikes me.... the way that everything is connected in that planet with 'a network of energies', and how they care for each other, including plants and animals, and the knowing that deep down they are one.

As Ignazio says, awareness is increasing... reminds me of this famous quote:

"Every truth passes through three stages before it is recognised. At first it is ridiculed, then it is opposed, finally it is regarded as self-evident" Arthur Schopenhauer, German Philosopher (1788-1860)

hi all

Is it just me or is there anyone else who think there are parallels between the new Avatar movie and OBEs?  In the movie, humans go to sleep to project into avatars' bodies, and we here (attempt to or do) project into our etheric bodies.  In both cases, the projected person is able to do incredible things and see and experience a new amazing world.  There's a lot of ethics and spirituality in the film as well...

Any thoughts anyone?

I used to get agitated or upset when people questioned the validity of my OBEs via forum posts. Now I don't care too much. There are a relatively few AstralPulse members whose opinions I truly value. As you might expect those are the people who have been members here for years, have repeatedly posted their own OBEs here and who regularly contribute to the various forum threads. (btw I do value your opinion as well).
It is annoying when people criticize an OBE as 'only a dream' but there is no need to get irritated. Over the years I have learned to shed those comments off as a duck shakes off water. Over time you will most probably feel the same way also.
Please continue to posts your OBEs here. You will probably find that the positive comments and insights offered here easily outweigh the negative posts of the critics.

Grey

Grey, thanks for your wise and encouraging words.  Much appreciated.  I also value your opinion - and I mean that.

Thats a pity.. and as someone who questioned your experience earlier in the thread can i say "sorry"

This thread has further opened my eyes to the intimate link between Dreams and OBE's...plus as the thread progressed i found it more and more interesting... the direction it took was possibly not what you originally imagined but it was helpful for me none the less...

I hope to see you posting here in the future,
Thank you,

Newmethod

Thanks Newmethod, and apology accepted.  Just so you know my last note was not meant to make anyone feel guilty.  I just wanted to express my frustration that after posting my experiences I almost always find myself having to justify myself and deal with unpleasant comments.

But I'm glad to hear you got something out of this thread!

with best wishes

Your experience certainly seems like an OBE to me.
Plus you started your account with the words
That always annoys me when I post an account of one of my OBEs and someones else responds with (something like) "You were probably only dreaming" .
Yet you handled those Doubting Thomases quite well. Don't let others doubts shake your own confidence. You are able to discern the difference between an OBE and a dream. So just keep rolling along (and you do appear to be on a good roll OBE-wise).

btw that familiar person that you met in the college could have been your friend who was also out of body yet did not realize it. She might have been confusing her own OBE with dream imagery. According to other OBE accounts that I have read that sort of thing does happen frequently.

Grey

Hi Grey, following your comment above and having had to deal with even more "doubting Thomas's" since then, I've been thinking ... and have now come to a conclusion that most people on Astral Pulse are really not that different from anyone else out there.  I had really thought that members and visitors on this site have a different way of thinking, that they are more open to infinite possiblities in an infinite universe, that they have come to a point in their lives that there is more to physical life, and more to the 'normal' and 'ordinary' things we have been conditioned to believe such as dreams.  But sadly there is as much skepticism here in Astral Pulse as there is in the scientific community.  I don't think I'll post any more projections or near-projections as that's an invitation for further attacks.  Ah well.

Thanks for your support anyways.

Not sure why you listed the ASC phenomenon for us... but..

Thank you.  I listed the ASC phenomenon so you could consider whether your experiences were dreams, or say, remote viewing or clairvoyance, for example.  From my understanding most people do remote viewing especially when trying to project.  In remote viewing your mind opens up to the astral and you can experience it as an observer (which is just as magnificent), or to some place else on this planet, while your astral body is still in the physical.  Just some options for you to look at.

best wishes
