The real history and real truth about Vampirism very well may be linked to people who use the things we cannot see all around us to drain us. I doubt any dark apparitions or what not, I do believe that possible but if that's the case you better go way over our heads here and research some Wiccan SuperExpert in Protective Barriers and spend a few years meditating upon cleansing the spirit/mind from all ill yucky presences

Galaxy, I still associate my consciousness in a way with my mind. Which I think is still a living breathing organ, very  much tied into my body more than my spirit of any kind.

Though I could be wrong. One indentifies consciousness often with the soul as when we die, it fades out. Depending, it may be snuffed it out, quickly too.

I associate the soul with Spiritual BluePrints of my Life's Actions. The Deeper Being that is part of this Vessel. Mind-Body and then Soul, not consciousness and when I die, I do not expect that the Being that I will be will be much like me. The Opposite... Like a Prizm, my consciousness is one facet, one window into untold numbers of Life's/Bodies and conscious beings


Rebellious to the end, perhaps a conscious mind-body, wishes to break away from it's binds of Soul, it's Obligation to Karma, it's own Rite and passage, via it's own life, and Truly Individual Indentity. Perhaps?

Throughout my life I have continually come to face the subject of Good and Evil. I too, usually subscribe to the popular theory, if God created Earth or anything like a Divine One, why create dirty little Nasties? Doesn't make sense Personally

However, continually I am bombarded with the fact that some things about this world just don't make sense. That there are Beings, that exist and thrive on Negative Energies, and Demon may be a Metaphor for something a bit more closer to Home.

In my life there have been key points, pathways, to a Path of Good or Evil. It is unending, I believe souls are challenged with this choice, and it makes perfect sense to me. Unlike sheep guided to a perfect grazing ground, that would not make sense, we are Sheep that must find this ground ourselves. No Divine Energy is going to make it as easy as pie for us, and in this I feel some of the older religions have it right. There is a dark Malovent Force/Energy/set of Beings all wishing to guide little Lambs into their slaughter or into Dark Twisted Paths.. Recruitment to them would be as Angels or Guides aiding their long lost family members.......that or a twisted Karmic entanglement... A way to learn

Who understands Good greater than he/she who has truly felt Evil? They must be one in the same, we invented them?

When I was 19 years old and courting a young lady on the other side of the town I lived in. Near asleep I felt fingers impressed into my back and her voice in my ear.

I firmly believe this was her Astral Visitation. I do not believe that any interaction between the phsyical and astral-spiritual will make any difference whatsoever. In fact I think mostly one out of body will go unnoticed to others, no matter what. Their bodies are just like sleeping. Now I do have strange scars on my back

in my Lucid dreaming I recall exiting the body through my back, numerous times. I lived an Agoraphobic lifestyle, thus OOBE'd through lucid dreaming many many times. When my Mother came from Europe to visit me she believed I had be tortured, the wounds on my back appeared to be deep purple, very defined...long, and thick... Dozens of such things

So can OOBE damage the body, not sure, that could've been just growing Stretch Marks... As I have signs of other such things.. but those looked quite strange!

IMO, the relaxation required to gain OOBE mentioned here would mean Sex would be essential to good OOBE, along with a bunch of other things

People discuss Energy sources like a Powerplant or like a device. I am more leaning toward the thought that energy eminates from our being like a battery from our soul. Little Stars so to speak

can one draw on another star's energies, sure. In real life, when you draw on another's inspiration, indeed you are drawing on their energies of sorts, but would I call it such a dry term as 'soul energy'....not sure I would...

it's a very complicated subject, there is no proof that people draw nor project energies, sexual or otherwise in either realm... Other than what we experience literally. Though I am still in the book, about whether or not the experiences we share is not a deeper union, a spiritual combination of mini energy sources, illuminating all sorts of untold shadowy things

Imagine this if you will, Hitler preaching to the masses, an enthralled million almost high on the energies channelled, driven to heights and despicable acts by a Mass Channeling, a Mass of Energies. A choir

Our bodies are driven by Minerals, calories, immune systems, etc... Our minds for the first time are being scientifically proven to draw on this, next will be our spirits? Fascinating topic, but it will take some time to study and understand, millenia IMO

One of the responces I recieved was basically without philosphy or theology. I would prefer on the subject of wealth and whether we deserve it due to our evolution as Spirits to slightly remain on the basic facts. i.e. we earned it due to our generosity in our past lives. Even if that contradicts everything I just wrote.

And so very often everything is a contradiction, because I cannot believe that one belief fits all here. It's from perspective, and we all see the world through our own eyes/ideas and beliefs. Whatever they may be, they are still as I may have lured off topic a bit, getting a little too wild...basic...

Truly and Sincerely, to say that Spiritual Evolution and the Astral Plane are intertwined is a bit weak. That there are layers of higher evolvement reserves for a privledged few is biased and even perhaps Religionisct(my made up word)
To say that we challenge ourselves and our own evolvement as beings by putting up adversity and placing us in various scenarios to see how we would do would be more down to earth.. more realistic..

The West could feed the Third World, educate it and cloth it. It simply will not.. The Betterment of man really doesn't concern most people. The few it does, put a bandaid on the problem, but the majority rules and it's usually what counts, the majority.

My deeper meaning was that when all souls encourage each other to grow and strive for perfection, in the best way they know how. Teachers and Students perhaps the world will resemble something more ideal. Though I feel it's lagging behind greatly the knowledge that has accumulated. Religion outside of this basic philosphy/ideal

A long time ago I had asked myself similar questions. It doesn't quite seem fair that a small percentage of the population, have most of the wealth. Even within our modern society of Western Civilization, there are HUGE class differences between one man/woman and another.

I think there has almost grown an anamosity toward wealthy people those who just can't seem to ever get over that hurdle of getting wealthy enough to sit back and relax. Also, I see a VAST difference in American or British/Western Society between Dirt Poor and Well-to-do. Meanwhile, Rich and Well-to-do, aren't suffering say for instance in the health department. A few grand may be the difference between 2 decent front teeth and NONE!

I definitely see in the near future a Revolution, Anarchy of sorts. As I see it, the Wealthier classes protect themselves with laws and actually are feeding opium to the masses in the way of Welfare, Pensions, Free Medicine. Also a lot of other items such as Beer, Drugs, prostitution, and you name it.

I am currently struggling in my life. I see it as clear as day, all the opportunities to go to school, or to develop a business idea... I never saw myself achieving much more than perhaps Well-to-do, but now I sit in the muck of Poverty and I can tell you, it's very very unhappy. In fact it is a downright humbling experience. One would have to imagine this must be Karma. I must deserve this. Or, let's get a bit more evolved, perhaps I have some learning to do. Or, beyond all the spiritual talk, perhaps it's because I just cannot pull my head out of the sand right now. I'm too ill, too tired, and or too lazy. Perhaps a combination of all these things!

I really think that New Age Philosphy or anything of the like falls short in an explanation to us here. I have had numerous opportunities to succeed, but always felt a little demon on my back. It be may be also I have had angels there too, but perhaps it's what I chose to listen to. Do all Beings have equal opportunity to excell? That's not entirely possible dependant on where you are from, what initial cards you are dealt. More over than money, what about Well Being? A disease... Disfigurement, or numerous other possibilities much more decrepid than poverty.

One could debate and write on the subject of "why," forever. My personal opinion is mixed. I do feel that in some way there are things to be learned from adversity. There are plenty of Wealthy/Healthy individuals that are not fulfilled. Likewise for Poor/Unhealthy... Purely on a cash basis, given a fairly healthy body and enviroment........I do feel that something can be learned from the Hermatic LifeStyle. That those who have nothing, truly can let go. I do not mean without the basics but I see that often toys, cash comfort, etc....make men/women lazy and complacent. Weak in fact

This is really a tough subject though, and when someone is not well due to their inability to cope with poverty there seems no excuses for what a hell that can be. I know in my past lives, my fortunes have been mixed. It does seem that opportunity follows through lifetimes, perhaps souls are not all interested in being born in Western Societies, and I do think it's choice. There are some god forsaken third world societies, but some are actually in their own way appealing.

So lesser or greater a being.. Astral Involvement? None! A mind/body/soul of strength/will/decency a thing no money, no breeding, no belief can buy

Religion and the modern time is a hotly debated item. Here you see a prime example. Throughout time and throughout world you see a great deal of conflict over the subject matter. As for Islam and Christianity, it's a tough pair. They are in my mind a lot alike. Extremist views in both sects, 2 very large bodies on opposing sides but the same. They both originate from pretty much the same region. I really don't know that much about either, besides some brief study.

The violence of the past few thousand years, the turmoil, the red painted about the world in the name of God is intrigueing. Some say it's due to the religion, I'm not all too sure. Perhaps it's an excuse to do for another purpose. i.e. Nazis didn't reclaim Jewish Property solely for Racial Purity, it was a Profitable issue also

War, Religion, Sex, Morales, Ethics. They will be debated for a lot longer. Someone will always be argueing what is right and wrong. Ultimately should some survive through it all. I feel a middle ground will be found, and all of what we hold dear today will be shunned and forgotton tomorrow.

Especially as the human mind/body/soul are fully understood by Science and or True Seekers of Truth... Not dogmatic or otherwise ignorant specimens.

I am not a very good OOBEr

Though I was pretty renowned as a young man for Precognitive dreaming. Personally I'd heed the dream, whatever the meaning. Do you have a history of Precognition?

Usually black and white dreams are a warning...It is very difficult at times to break down the meaning of our dreams

and it's always better safe than sorry..........not to say you shouldn't live due to fear but some things are better passed on, few will probably heed your warning though. I've found most just ignore what you say

Aharris, I was very uncertain at first if it could be achieved at all. After some practice I became very discouraged. I think a deep desire and a good work ethic toward it definitely helps. A predisposition to OOBE? This I'm not completely sure of, though I'm also guessing it probably will work in your favor. Seems that some just have an easier time... It's debated you have to believe, if you do not inside, deep inside, OOBE will be impossible.

I remember as a boy watching a movie, sorta-spine tingling-horror movie in fact about OOBE. I must've been or 9-10 years old, perhaps less. I felt no matter how obscure the subject matter at that moment watching, this is Possible and I was deeply frightened by the content. So it was in fact something that was 'inside' me from day one

As for the verification of OOBE's. That would fall into the realm of proving the pseudo-science of all parapsychology. I doubt that you will have this.. First of all, any Hardcoded Scientist will never be open enough to trust what they recieve or get it from the right source. Secondly, OOBE doesn't want to be found. The other side doesn't want the World to know it exists.

There are scientists who are the fringes, you can find them on the Discovery Channel... They talk of the other dimensions outside of normal science that can theoretically exist. All this talk is in it's MAJOR infancy. You will not grasp proof scientifically in my mind for my decades/centuries to come. Perhaps in a thousands years there will be Proof, as far as time is concerned for us. MORE than proof, every day spiritual experience for the Masses? Heh... Will really change things

I will say this much, could I have offered PROOF. This is for a few to know, as the masses, the scientists and yourself will not hear what my voices have said. You will call me unbalanced, schizo, etc... I myself question it at times, having been born an atheist and scientist.

Although, the proof that I Have had, if put into a labratory would have proven 110% that Psychic phenomenon exists. Extra Sensory Perception in particular

i.e. I would have tasted what your wife ate on 25 seperate occasions over 25 days...at the exact time as her, every time. When I tell people this they think I'm videotaping them outside their window, and I must be insane


They usually cower in fear and never wish to know. The messages will never be revealed to science or for matters of proof. Tried it before, no luck in that. These things don't want to be found

P.S. I have asked the same question myself. Interestingly, there are plenty of frauds and wishful thinkers out there. I ponder if I am one myself. We often make out what we are greater than it is, due to our own enthusiasm.

There are a great amount of theories and personal beliefs on the topics mentioned.

I firmly believe that anything mentioned here is possible. Will OOBE increase the likelyhood of any of it? I highly doubt that becoming more spiritually in tune or experiencing something of this level will make it more possible, I believe it will make it less possible. Stating that means the more you are 'aware', less likelyhood of possession, misplaced body, death, whatever else is possible.




We are expanding our minds, our consciousness in these things. Narrowmindedness has no room. Openminded souls that will contemplate and study every aspect of what is and what is possible. We all are at a great eve of discovery. Just stick around and watch.

I have left my body hundreds if not thousands of times. I have never had ONE incident of misplacing a body or otherwise. Becoming spiritually in tune does come with risk. Opening up to a spiritual realm where there are new threats and new pathways, does come with risk, but possession is not one I'd even bother considering. The other possibilities is what I would consider. That an evolved conscious spirit, can be open to evil... Channeling or absorbing negative energy that or abusing 'a gift'.............. I'm certain it happens.......... though we are all human and that means were are caught in the rift of Choice/Will/Good-Evil

If you want to open yourself to this field, to enhance your life, to experience something that can be mind altering. Go ahead. Although if it's because you're empty, missing something, depressed. I suggest you shut off the other worldly concerns and live your life and find what's worth something there first. Life is every bit as wonderous as OOBE

I suffer from a Energy Condition, in my early experiences with OOBE it actually helped heal it. IRONIC? So it's feesible for me to say that you'll live longer practicing OOBE rather than the risk mentioned here... The Gain? What of that? It is likely that OOBE could have extended my life. I attempted to find synthetic aides to fulfill my energy needs, never worked. Ultimately, I think that this is a Drug-Free, Natural, and very intuitive experience. That as I said before likely most everyone experiences at some point!

I'll admit it comes with dangers, but there are methods, techniques, and other things that make safer than crossing the street! Though read, study and learn about these things, all the books are there.

Very unique Point of view, during visions, remote viewing, channeling I use the exact practice you mentioned.

However....it doesn't always work, sometimes there has to be some meaning or reason deeper down to bring things..Other times it's random..

I am still a bit uncertain that OOBE may not require that the individual involved has a greater reason/calling/must experience OOBE for some reason.

When I was younger I had along with the Vibrations Heart Racing, but my eyes never bothered me whilst under the Meditation State. Although after the sessions of Astral Projection I began having severe eyestrain headaches, I think due to other reasons. Regardless REM or Rapid Eye Movement would have to do with REM sleep and I do not think you could really achieve noticaeable REM during Alpha BrainWaves, which is conscious Brainwaves.

Idose? I also had very hardcore incidents of heart palpitations later in life, but after a lung condition and drug abuse. So I doubt that you are in danger unless you have some pre-existing conditions? Usually OOBE from what I've heard and experienced causes excitement, as it is for many equivelant of a rollercoaster ride about to happen. Heart might race when you approach a Girlfriend?

Regardless for you own sake, make sure you have a clean bill of health. I rend to follow the rule here that you should be a stronger than average individual both mentally and otherwise to entertain psychic experience. Why? In case things get intense...although many sickly and elderly people I have heard explored it all the way through

there are rumors that people with certain mental programming can end up with mental issues from OOBE. i.e. a soldier who has practiced aggressive violent things, a violent soul or corrupt soul, etc... might prefer to stay away from their subconscious mind... I have heard rumours, of side effects to these individuals, i.e. a team of soldiers experimented with some mind altering tapes that were supposed to force an OOBE up in the Shenandoahs.. They ended with mental probs...

I have had extreme nightmares whilst under the influence, but often I overcame them... Literally and figuratively... But I'm no average, and the average humanbeing has more to fear from Smog and likely can expand their consciousness and live longer and better from things like OOBE.

I have had spiritual experiences 'high'....... but 'very experienced spiritual guides' have stated the loss, disruption, corruption of thought/true spiritual insight... Of course moderation is likely with anything not a killer... but usually drugs are hard to moderate

Just because native American's smoked for visions, Egyptians drank high powered wine for them...or South American natives dropped high powered Hallucingenics<sp? god knows the ramifications of drugs PLUS spiritual vision/insight... Again I state if you are in any way emotionally troubled, watch out... addiction is the killer, dependancy...people with hurt emotions, or permanent mental damage really easily attach to painkilling mind altering substances.

I tried a 600 dollar state of the art scientific modification tape/machine(at the time) back some time ago. I did retrieve experimental data from it. Spiritual vision... but it was blurry and sickening... The Fast Track at the time. I was given a vision of taking MDMA???specialK/LiquidG or whatever... and I guess the vision was hinting to me, your injecting the spiritual equivelant. Our bodies and minds weren't meant for this..

One very important note to add..... New Agers/Wiccans???/some personal spiritualists don't believe in possession. However any hardcoded Catholics/some Eastern Religions/etc... believe in possession and likely should avoid Astral Projection, etc.... However movies are glorified, that is not reality, just T.V.

I have several very intense psychic abilities. During my mid teens I smoked more weed than average, about 20-100 dollars a day. Not sure if it was the amount, the constant smoking or what... It sort of killed my abilities, when I quit, 3 months later I had a surge. Like Opening the Hoover Dam. So personally I cannot say I have had Astral Experiences on Weed, though a weird floating feeling and some asthma because I also was a chronic ciggerate smoker on top of weed......worsened a childhood condition, 6 years of smoking was like 15

so I suggest all keep it recreational my deepest most pro opinion is all drugs, from prozak-booze-vicadin-smack-crack onward. From the mildest to the strongest, kill Spiritual-Psychic abilities. I can recount many people with shared feelings

Haven't really put much time in awhile in the subject. I am a young semi disabled spiritual being. I suffer from bad insomnia and my body is in a lot of pain. I rarely have uninterruped sleep. However sometimes I imagine exploring OOBE again. I have had not what I consider true conscious OOBEs, perhaps 1. Though I discount it, due to many reasons. Though my lucid-projections-dream projections, are fairly unparalleled by the average Mortal Being. Never quite satisfies one!

I recall the INTENSE vibrations from regular meditation and hypnosis. Sometimes it feel as if I had just been hit with a curling iron in the bathtub. I recall I usually became too excited that or the vibrating would dissipate, and I would never have what I wanted. Pot interrupted my Sessions, although it helped the pain. Strange the tradeoff. I am still curious what I was doing wrong, the vibration attacks, or I prefered to call them the electric shock attacks... Anyone gotten to the this stage? Fully awake, just relaxed and awaiting the next step? But it didn't happen...

I used Hypnosis, I willed my desire to project, I did the reaching for the cup on the table trick, I tried countless other Mind Tricks. No Cigar. Something else was missing from my recipe for my perfect conscious OOBE, ROFL

Oh, and OOBE doesn't help insomnia, lordy. I was frail then and I'm frail now, may not be capable... My Mind however is sharp

Remote, did write a superb piece on getting over that huge issue of actually getting it done. I started with such a FIRE, I consumed books, it was endless. I meditated 6 hours at a time. I would keep going into relaxation, breathing, hypnosis, etc... until I was ill with it

It took several months and some experiences came through, I wasn't ever satisfied. What was on the very edge of OOBE to me was never as good as what I read the other guy or girl could do!

Ultimately I found I had stumbled upon something that I think my own Mind/Soul didn't really appreciate. I have a feeling subconsciously that I had an altered ego, and personally... it didn't like me interfering with it's nightly ritual of OOBE. That or I developed one ROFL

Also, when I stopped trying so hard I performed many lucid-unconscious OOBEs, hundreds perhaps... However we all hunger for the conscious, perfect, textbook OOBE that we can share, and say Thank heavens..

Just the other night I was feeling weak, and went over, woke up with the signs up of projection, heightened awareness/senses... I fed from the otherside 2 hours, popped back in and, viola. It's a bit hard these days focusing, and getting the kind of OOBE you read about. Religious and UberPatient practice should get you that.

I think the mind busts as does the spirit with enough focusing, and most can achieve OOBE......After 17 years of experience, I have found a calm and patient spirit willing to go the longhaul will get there faster than attempting to steal the experience in a few months. You will know with the early signs that you are getting close to your goals. Every Single Achievement is 1 step closer. I sort of gave up going for the perfect OOBE, my mind/body is a little too frail for the type of rigorous will/strength it requires these days
