the mind is an amazing instrument it can produce anything. the thing is, the mind often needs help from memory and recognition in order to produce these things. in Astral Projection, this is not the case.
#2
don't think of these things as "shortcuts". instead, think of them as tools.

I say this all the time - if there was a short cut, it would have been found and we would all be using it.
there is. it's called Dimethyltryptamine
#4
because I've projected before without weed.

it's quite easy to extract yourself. you can obtain the plant material from the internet and find some basic instructions for extraction.

from personal experience, I'd say yes. it does.

a WILD is astral projection, technically. but false awakenings can also be considered astral projection.
lucid dreams and OBEs are the same thing, it's your perception that makes the difference.

My belief is that your mind creates your reality, so if you believe something to be of what you would call "reality", then that is what reality would be for you. If you think you've been bad, then you have only been bad by your definition. If you expect to see consequences of this, then you will. They will not necessarily be direct consequences of the actions you consider to be "bad", however you will perceive them as such. Something could happen to you completely unrelated to your actions but if your expectation was to see consequences, then your mind will form any excuse to connect your actions to any seemingly related consequences.

In other words, If you believe you've been bad, and expect, even at the lowest subconscious level, that you will go to hell, then that is where you will go. You could do the same thing you would consider bad; and if you saw it as good, and expected good consequences i.e. that you will go to heaven, then you will go to heaven.

As for your uncle, if you had an emotional tie with him on the physical plane that has carried on up until his death, then you will continue to be connected, on that level. Therefore, if you meet what you think is your uncle on the astral plane, then that will (in a sense) be your actual uncle, as it is comprised of the memories and experiences you've had with him.

As far as beliefs go, If you're talking about the actual energy that made up his soul while he was on the physical plane, I believe that would have been recycled back into the energy stream already, be it reincarnation or nirvana. I believe that "god" is the process of energy being distributed and recycled throughout this spectrum of reality. The "godself", being both individual and part of the entire being which makes up "god".

However this is just a belief; it does not make it reality... (or does it??)  :-o

reality is subjective. This does mean that if one believes it is objective, then it is objective. what a paradox!

you put a billion trillion scientists in a room, each of whom attempt to create a miniature universe. They all succeed, however only one of them forms a universe of harmony; the rest being random and chaotic. The life forms in the harmonic universe ponder how they could live in a universe of such harmony, and not in a universe of chaos. The life forms in the other billion trillion chaotic universes wonder.. oh wait..

Try doing it at night or in the morning or whenever you're more tired. seems like you're too awake when you trying. If you can feel your heartbeat and it's too distracting, try using that as a means to help you. Pretend it's raising your energy or whatever. (it's helped me. I'm quite skinny and i've had that too).  You could also try taking deeper breaths at first, until your relaxed. Then it's best to take your mind off everything, including conscious breathing. If your mind is blank, your body will have no choice but to go into relaxation mode. Eventually your brain will send a signal to your body, and you will get a strong urge to roll over or move somehow. This is a test to see if your still awake. If you're unresponsive, your mind will disconnect from your body, thus causing sleep paralysis. Then you just need to try not to pass out. hope this helps.

I have great respect for James Randi. He's a real skeptic. Although the one million dollar challenge is the thing he's most famous for, what he's really trying to do, and what most of his books have been about, is to get people to realize that no one should trust anyone. He's trying to get people to wake up and stop being sheep. Check out the video "James Randi: The Search for the Chimera". It's been over a year since I've watched it but from what i remember, a majority of it was about how people shouldn't trust the government, or anything for that matter; that no one ever knows what to expect, and that our 5 senses aren't really all that great, and shouldn't be trusted.

This million dollar challenge has completely skewed his image, making him seem close minded. He is not close minded. He never rules out the possibility that paranormal phenomena exists. His main goal is to keep people from believing everything they see in the media and on television. People who take everything with a grain of salt are the people who are contributing to the overall devolution of humanity, and he's trying to stop that. The whole "debunking paranormal phenomena" is of the least of his priorities.

Part of being a skeptic is being skeptical of what you already believe to be true, and what you believe to be "fact". Everything you know could be wrong, and this is James Randi's real message.

if you think that way, then yes.

So I've been pondering this question for a while:

as time does not exist beyond the physical plane, couldn't one be reincarnated as someone from the past?

(I personally don't see time as linear, nor cyclical. In fact, I don't even believe time exists, as the past nor future ever exists in the present, which is all that exists.
though in saying that a generation of people that no longer exist have created a generation that currently exists, time would dictate that the past has created the present.
(I'm one to put myself at both sides of a debate))

anyway, this question lead me to a thought.

what if life is an endless process of reincarnation of every sentient being from the beginning of time until the end?
-that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself through the life of everything that has ever existed, and everything that will exist, forever.

This thought came to mind as I crossed paths with a man walking opposite my direction on the sidewalk. As we shared eye contact and nodded our heads at each other, I wondered if I ever had, or if I ever will live their life.

I hope this makes sense. It's very difficult to explain.

whatever works for you, man. It's different for everyone.
As for me, cannabis works great with meditation, but not so much projecting. I need a clear mind and complete concentration to project. but like I said, it's different for everyone.

as for the second question, same response. though brain chemistry seems to work more interestingly in the dark.

You create your own reality. What you believe is what you will experience (i.e. evil). The law of attraction dictates this. The truth of the matter is that there is no "natural evil"; it is self-manifested. I hope this helps.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Blind

so I now know how to project from sleep paralysis, and find it very simple at that; though I seem to be having trouble seeing. It seems like my eyes are closed while I'm out of body, though am unable to open them. I'm sometimes able to create an image or surrounding for a few seconds though as soon as I turn in another direction everything goes black. I'm able to float/move around but it just feels like I'm blind.
any ideas?

the stuff on toads is 5MeO-DMT. completely different chemical. The only way to ingest DMT is by smoking it or ingesting it with an MAOI (Ayahuasca). It's believed that DMT is responsible for dreams, and very small amounts are released every night from the pineal gland in the brain. It is also the most natural and least dangerous drug on earth, and ironically the most illegal. I suggest watching some Terrence McKenna videos. fascinating stuff.

If I'm in a deep enough trance while in sleep paralysis, I just get up as I would physically; then I'm out. If you really are in sleep paralysis, your body won't move. I've tried "thinking" about leaving my body though that doesn't work for me, so I would just do it how I would "physically". I suppose different methods are easier for different people. Try to find your own method.  :-)

I understand what you're saying. I had another projection last night. I woke up in sleep paralysis, so I was able to leave my body easily. The thing is, once I projected, my surroundings were very much like that of a dream (hazy/not very clear).

I've had other experiences where I would exit my body unwillingly and I could tell by my surroundings that I was in the astral (spherical vision, silver cord, everything being crystal clear, seeming more real that reality).
But these last few nights it just hasn't seemed very interesting.
