Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Labels
February 15, 2009, 02:08:14
Please excuse my randomness here, I just feel like speaking and expressing  :-) Thats what humans do  :-) I hope you'll understand, my friends  :-)

I've been reading a debate about The Law of Attraction, Black and White Magick, psychic powers and all the other stuff regarded as "supernatural" from people who support it and from people who regard it as not morally sound, ineffective or just plain "evil".

As I read and watch these people debate about their beliefs, I strangely find beauty and evolution (not talking about "monkey turns into man", per se) in it. I don't take either side of the debate. I start to realize things....

I have grown tired of the phrase "Law of Attraction". It's just a label, but as humans we seem to need these labels for communication. Maybe it's just because we aren't developed enough to impress, inform or transmit the powers of the Universe, or whatever it may be, completely to other people in one "fell swoop" of feelings, emotions, experiences, communication and/or intelligence. (I hope that made sense to you. It's kinda hard to express my exact thoughts right now.) In my mind I see the Universe as one distinctive formation of energy. I just see perfection, and I'm grateful. I don't see "good" or "bad".

Whenever I see a label put on something or hear someone judge another certain person and the like, I cringe. "She's fat!", exclaimed the "prep". "No she's not, your fat", remarked the "skinny" "nerd". But at the same time I notice purpose and beauty in it. It's like a bitter sweet thing. Hard to explain.

"Magic". Or is it "Magick"? What is it????? Is it "evil"???? I just see it as life. Wherever I look I see "magic". My brain is "magic". My hand is "magic". The pair of headphones in front of me are "magic". The grocery store is "magic". The "LOA" is "magic". It's life, "God", the stars in the Universe, me, you, him, her.........................

When I think of these feelings of gratitude and notice beauty and truth in everything, I get goosebumps.... literally.... Every hair on my body stands up and vibrates.......

People, animals, plants, planets, galaxies, the universe, "universes", and the "multiverse" are (is) constantly learning, growing, changing and expressing. I love it! It feels so good to learn and just be life!

With the help of other people and the observation of their opinions and beliefs we learn and grow so much.

Different labels mean the same thing.............................................

It's not contradicting the Law of Attraction at all.  The Law of Attraction specifies that wanting something is not enough to manifest it, there has to be some emotion attached to the thought associated with it.  I believe the person who wrote the  Astral Physics article explained it fairly well- Emotional resonance here being the key ingredient in the manifestation process, and root assumptions the possible obstacle.
Good read.

Oh ok! I think I'm starting to understand it now.   :-)

Very cool link... lots of cool stuff to learn =D

However, I'm having a hard time understanding what he's trying to get across in this article; http://montalk.net/notes/law-of-attraction-vs-law-of-awareness

In one paragraph he says; "The more certain you are that a particular future will happen, the more that future is frozen and kept from manifesting through quantum / synchronistic means."

Isn't that contradicting the "Law of attraction" all together? Or am I not understanding something? .....

Be sure you're good and relaxed. A simple way to start is simply just observing. Passively observe what thoughts arise, what you hear, what you see behind your eyelids, etc. Don't hold onto it, just make note and let it fall away. If you're relaxed enough, you might kind of "click" in and out, but just center your focus of attention again. If you get the buzzy sensation in your third eye area, make note, but don't let it distract you. This goes for all sensations. After practice and getting good at this, eventually you'll start entering a trance state. Don't wait and expect it to happen, just let it happen on it's own it the process of "noticing".

I think that's a pretty efficient and simple meditation. Anyone, feel free to add your tips and suggestions.

Thanks!! =D I guess I just need to practice..... It's hard to feel confident unless I know I'm getting somewhere....

Root: open (31%)
Sacral: open (44%)
Navel: open (56%)
Heart: over-active (81%)
Throat: open (44%)
Third Eye: open (25%)
Crown: open (19%)

Is over-active bad? My heart chakra seems to always be overactive.

So like, when I'm meditating, how will I know if I'm actually doing it right???? Am I supposed to go into a deep trance or a certain brainwave state for it to be completely effective??? If so, how???

I generally haven't been meditating every day. Shame on me lol... when I do meditate I can feel that vibratory buzzy sensation in the third eye area, but only if I'm thinking of next to nothing... which lasts like 2-10 seconds lol ... if I think about something or have a feeling or an emotion come up, it goes away instantly...

Root:           open                (13%)
Sacral:   open                (19%)
Navel:   under-active    (-38%)

Third Eye:   under-active    (-6%)

I could use some improvement also =D

Seems pretty accurate to me. I have a hard time communicating and talking to people and generally have low confidence around people unless I know them very well. Anyone have any advice for me??? lol ..............

There are two samples of binaural beats on this article from wikipedia:

I've never actually listened to binaural beats untill now.... when I clicked play on one of them, my brain felt like it was twisting or something ..... lol

Wow, thanks for the replies guys!

I just had yet another sleep paralysis episode while sleeping last night... It seems to happen so easily, yet it comes without warning.

I will definitely try to "go with it" the next time this happens.

Thanks again

Hi everybody! My name is Ben and I'm 18.
For the last couple years, I've been having a lot of unwanted OBE's while sleeping, probably at least once a week. I've heard many ppl call it sleep paralysis. Most of the time I'll barely hear myself yelling/screaming and I'll be struggling to breathe and move then wake up out of fear from these episodes. Sometimes they will be activated by a dream, like today when I woke up from a nap. It's very frightening for me. I've never actually been able to control my "astral body" completely.

If I try and do astral projection on my own and experience it completely, would that help reduce the fear the next time I have one of these experiences while sleeping? I've read articles and stuff on how to do it, but I guess I'm too afraid to even do it on my own.

Last year my mom got all paranoid on me because I was seriously depressed and she had me meet with a Christian pastor who talked to me about demons and stuff....... My dad believes our house is, or was haunted and he had a medium come over (which I only later learned from the pastor I was meeting with).
All this stuff really scared me. I'm kinda afraid that if I get into an astral projection, a demon or something might try to enter my body..... lol I dunno

I just want to learn to deal with the fear of astral projection since I have all these episodes while sleeping.

It's long, I know... lol I'll shutup
