Wow....nice to see so many replies. I am currently 48 years old. I have not had an OBE in about ten years with a couplr rare exceptions, This was after having them almost nightly from age 14-37. For me this is a blessing. For I am one of the unfortunatel people who entrained myself to respond to the sensations and experiences with fear. At first as a youngster I did not tell anyone. It was during the 70's, and I smokedd pot, etc... got in trouble at school. And was afraid that the counselors I had to see, etc... would interpret these experiences as psychotic, etc... They began with what seemed at to be a light swirling around my head when I was laying down ready for sleep. Then as the light moved faster it would begin to pulse up and down my body. An electrical feeling hum would begin in my ears and I would become paralyzed. I was sure I was dying or something on another plane of existense was trying to get me. So I began sleeping downstairs on the couch. Because my bedroom was upsatirs in a refinished attic.
Anyhow. That is all I feel like posting for now. Later I worked with a scholar who was working with Bob Monroe and learned much.
