Thank you. I used to do reality checks to try and have a Dild but it never worked. I tried the mild technique twice in one night and it worked straight away. I thought maybe it was something else but in Stephen Laberge's book he says that a lot of people have reported success in 1-2 nights using the Mild. I've only just started to realize how powerful affirmations are in the hypnagogic state. Researchers say that's when the brain is most receptive and it all makes sense now.

I will definitely try to do this technique. It sounds tricky but I'm sure I'll find a way. During the last two nights I've realized I was in a dream 4 times. The only problem at the moment is when I've woken up in a dream and it starts to disappear very quickly and I'm awake again. I'll have to work at that. It'd be amazing to actually ask questions and get a reply. I'm just so happy that I'm finally starting to recognize when I'm dreaming.

No prob. I personally think W.I.L.D's are actually easier to pull off (if you're waking up in 5-6 hours into your overall sleep cycle) then using reality checks to trigger a D.I.L.D. Stephen Laberge's M.I.L.D technique is very effective as well. I tend to use them both. I still do reality checks if I wear a watch. It's kinda a habit. Great work and keep it up.

Same things.  :)

I say both to be respectful to people's belief systems. I consider them the same things as well.

Sounds like you projected. But eventually lost control or lucidity.

Sounds like you were getting close. A lot of my early experiences I experienced a lot things that people would call scary. I now tend to think that they are fear tests.

For example, Tom Campbell mentions we will get tested at first to see if we are ready to explore the wider reality. I tend to agree with him because I rarely get those scary hallucinations anymore. I think it's because I faced the fears behind them. I would try my best to just stay present and focused on your mantras if you are using them.

Sounds like a you astral projected to me or had a Wake Induced Lucid Dream. Congrats to you. That's awesome.
