If you are toying with the idea of AP, and finding your way to these forums, and have probably read a couple books about the subject, I don't understand how you can be asking if its worth all the trouble!  Its the universe!!!  Its the world we live in plus infinite others.  Its where and how we exist.  It is literally endless realms of anything imaginable and unimaginable, waiting to be explored.  Oh and then theres the fact that you can fly!  And you can't die.  Do you see where this could get interesting?  Endless possibilities!  Sorry if that seemed forceful, Im only trying to get you to see how amazingly fun AP can be, and to use your imagination to think about where you could go and what you can do.

Now that being said, Earth is the focus of our lives for now (and lives to come) so I guess if you want to look at it that way and just be a "normal" person who doesn't really care/know about AP and all this exploration stuff and just wants to live their life on Earth, then there is nothing wrong with that either.  Or just do meditation, its awesome.  What we are doing on Earth is amazing enough.  You don't have to AP.  We are all given the gift of physical life on Earth which is the greatest blessing of all.  So you can't really go wrong.  And the funny thing is that when you realize that the world is not static and that everything is always moving and changing and evolving and alive, you will see that physical Earth life is just another amazing form of astral travel (slightly more physical and "heavy"), and a thousand times more dangerous because we need our bodies here... hence the amazing blessing to have the opportunity to live in the physical realm.

So then that would make pretty much everything we do, in a way, "spiritual" already, without having to make any beliefs, religions, or required textbooks necessary to have a "spiritual" experience.  You are doing it already, even now.  And the Earth-Gaia thing we have going on here is so precious, you have to admit.  And amazingly unique in the universe, it is our home away from home :) But there are others, places, people, beings, games, art, music.  Why not see what's out there?  Your body will be waiting for you in the morning!  And you will always wake up, here or there :)

And for me, when I got into AP and all this about 10 years ago (in my early 20's), my view of the universe was not as big, and I had a pretty big imagination even back then.  But now that the universe seems so much bigger because of my new discoveries and insights, the Earth seems so much smaller, like we are all neighbors here, all the same Earthlings (which is why we should stop fighting about everything!).  I think when I started practicing AP my goal was to get away from Earth, join the enlightened ones, never to return.  Now I see that it is our life on Earth that is the precious gift, and the other realms will always be there to explore.

But AP can give you proof, and only on a personal level, that you are more than just your physical body and that there is really no such thing as death.  I think thats pretty profound.  You don't have to take my word for it, or from some religious leader, or from some old book but prove it to yourself that you are more than just physical you.  And while I'm sure meditation can lead you to these same conclusions, theres nothing like experiencing it first-hand.  And at some point, I think meditation turns into AP anyways.  I really don't think those meditation masters are really just sitting there for 20 hours straight.  Maybe.  But I bet most of em are flying through different dimensions for most of it.

I also know that you can't force AP and that it will happen for you when you are ready, although practicing it is necessary for most of us, at least in the beginning.  It took me quite a few years of casual practicing before I ever got to the vibrational state (and even then it was spontaneous), then a couple more years before I had my first full OBE.  And I have not had more than a couple dozen since then, altogether.  Im in no hurry :)  But I though you should know that Im not a veteran AP'er.  And I still get scared almost every time the vibes hit me!  But as the others have said, AP is about conquering your fears and seeing where it takes you.  I keep a very positive mindset in general, so I've never had any problems going to "dangerous" places or meeting malicious entities, because thats never been my focus or interest, or even one of my fears really either, so I've never had a problem with it.  I really can't offer any help in that area.  But from what I've seen, its enough to convince me that you cannot ever die from anything, ever... you will always wake up.  Just don't get negative or allow yourself to become something you hate or hurt others.

My experiences have all been very positive and its been a life/mind/paradigm-changing ride over the past ten years.  And yes a lot of it was scary, no doubt about it, and Im sure I'll find other things scary in the future.  But Im very glad I kept reading all the books I could find and practicing now and then.  Its been a true adventure and I love life so much more now knowing the things I know about the world and the universe.  AP gets my endorsement and I really hope you try it out!  Unless you have strong mental, emotional, or personal life issues going on, I think you will be amazed at what you can accomplish with AP.  You just have no idea what you will find.  I hope you find something good and not scary!  And learn a lot about yourself and the world we live in.  Go somewhere nice.  Fly out and see the moon, the Earth from space.  Listen to a celestial choir or rock out at an astral party.  Create your own dream home on your own planet!  Meet other people and other beings.  Help someone out.  Share the love.  Keep a good vibe going.  Blessings!

Great introduction to Mellen's experience.  I had to give this a re-post.  Check out his radio interviews, or his new self-produced DVD "The Spirit of Gaia".  You will not be disappointed.

So, if you imagine it, anything you want can exist in these lower levels of the astral.[/u] Tropical trees. Corvettes. Ice cream tub. Whatever you want to believe. Your choice. This applies whether the thought is by your own volition or not.

Thanks Contenteo, that make perfect sense.  I know the astral is extremely reactive to our thoughts, perceptions, and influence, but I always thought the RTZ was supposed to be an exact copy of the physical, and like others have said above as well, I could have been going lucid at some point or just projecting my own manifestations into the astral.  Cheers.

Also a quick update, I've been getting vibes like crazy!  3 separate times last night (and almost as many LDs). I tried raising the frequency and moving them up into my head or third eye (and I did see an eye staring back at me, surprisingly) I was so close to another exit!  And now I know since reading the thread on vibes that these are definitely not the higher kundalini vibes, I've only had those once, on my first experience many years ago, and I always sort of wondered why the other vibes I get regularly now don't seem as crystal clear and high frequency.  So can you turn the lower vibes into the kundalini vibes just buy raising their frequency?  Or does it take a whole different approach and the kundalini vibes come from a different place altogether?  Not that Im complaining about the lower vibes, those are the ones I had on my first full OBE and they are amazing...

Man all I know is when its your time, its your time, and you can't force anything.  And the more frustrated you get, the harder it will be.  Im sure your higher self knows exactly when you are ready for the next level of experience, whatever that may be for you.  It took me about 4 years (yes years) after becoming obsessed with the idea of OBE to have my first fully-conscious OBE, just a few weeks ago.  And to be perfectly honest I wasn't always 100% focused on my techniques and practices, thats probably why it took me so long.  I remember reading my first Bob Monroe book and that was it.  I wanted nothing more than to just get to the vibrational state, and I was going crazy with all the amazing possibilities that astral projection presented.  So I would try pretty hardcore for a couple weeks at a time, and nothing would happen.  I even had the privilege of taking an OBE workshop with none other than the great William Buhlman in Boulder and still not much progress. I was getting much better at meditation though, and having some pretty profound experiences that way.

So this continued for at least a year and a half to two years since I first read Monroe and wanted to OBE, I would just get really excited and practice hard for a couple weeks, and then kinda just go back to normal life and give it a break.  I would give myself a "fresh start" at the beginnings of some months and tell myself "this is going to be Out-of-Body August" and "I'm going to practice everyday for the next month."  But it seems like life was always interrupting and distracting me.  Then about two years in, during a layover time where I wasn't practicing at all, Bam! I got my first vibrational state experience following a lucid dream.  (and I now know that this was the higher vibrational state of kundalini vibes, which I learned from this site...  almost all my vibes now are the lower frequency type)  I was blown away by this.  I mean like crying tears of joy for 10 minutes in my bed afterwards.  It confirmed all this stuff I had been reading for the past few years (more than that if you count all metaphysical reading in general) and I was astonished at the intensity of the vibes, they truly are unmistakable. They only lasted about a minute and I remember I got my arms loose from my body, but not even a full OBE.  But the main point here is that I wasn't even focused on AP or OBE at that time and wasn't even trying.  It was au natural...

Then another 2 years go by and Ive reached the vibe state many times now, but it always freaks me out, I panic, and can never separate into an OBE.  My practice routine is about the same, every couple months ill get back into it, but at this point I'm not trying to force anything and Im growing a lot spiritually and Im pretty content just knowing that we are all spirits and that we all make it back to the astral at some point or another, no death, all that good stuff.  And all this talk about 2012 and a golden age of prosperity and manifestation is enough to keep me content just to be alive in these times, and Im just trying to work on "be here now" and Im seeing that a lot of my "spiritual" practices have major foundations in escapism, like I didn't want to be on Earth anymore, I just wanted to go explore the cosmos and other dimensions.  So I'm becoming more aware of this, and Im getting myself connected back into society and humanity and really trying to just be present and content with myself, happy to be here and to be human.  I haven't specifically done an OBE technique for probably a year now, but still meditate and read.

And somehow thats when I must have reached a state where my higher self looked down and saw that I was ready and prepared enough to go to the next level.  My mind and spirit are in a great place, I have an amazingly positive view of the future (I plug him, in almost every message I write, but please check out a radio interview of Mellen-Thomas Benedict, he will make you so excited to be alive you won't even care if you ever get out of body!) and even though my life is still far from perfect or where I want it to be, I've reached a place of pure contentment with whatever happens, the world seems perfectly imperfect.  And thats when it happened for me, just a couple weeks back, my first fully conscious OBE.  And it wasn't even that crazy of an experience as far as APs go, I just floated up out of my body, through my bedroom window and flew around my street for a few minutes, but to me it was exhilarating.  It was what I had wanted so badly for so many years, and it was perfect.  Its also exactly what my higher self knew I was ready for and what I could handle.  As much as I imagine the wildest possibilities of AP, if I'm honest with myself, I really don't think I'm ready to see some of the stuff thats out there.  Id like to think I could handle it, and I would love to go straight to the "clear light" of the highest realms and experience that bliss, but I know I have to work my way up to it.  Im also amazingly (back) in-love with the Earth now too, and want to be really involved with our home planet right now.

So I guess my advice would be, and what ultimately worked for me, is to just try to get yourself to a place where you are happy just to be alive, notice all the good that is happening in the world, don't focus on the bad, and don't try too hard to force AP.  Continue your techniques and practices and reaffirm to yourself every day that when its your time to leave your body and start your astral explorations, that it will happen quite naturally and there is nothing you can do to force this to happen before your higher self deems your time has come.

Thats how it felt to me when I just had my first.  It was so natural and although I took the long road, I don't regret any of it and I learned so much and read so many books and had so many other experiences leading up to this point. I'm glad I didn't rush anything and laid a solid foundation to build a lifetime of astral experiences on (I've been getting strong vibes and LDs about every other night since my first OBE and am handling the vibrational state with much more confidence and calmness, and its all happening naturally, I'm just going with the flow, along for the ride...).  I have still never had any form of OBE or vibes when I "tried" too, a technique or a phase or whatever, I'm not at that level, all my experiences have come completely naturally.  But I've slowly built myself up to the point where I get vibes naturally and LDs and hopefully many more APs to come!   But then again it did take me about 4 or 5 years, maybe you are closer than you think and this is your final push towards your first experiences?  I don't know but all I can say is you can't force it.  Think of a chinese finger trap, the more you pull on it and struggle to get free, the more stuck you become. Just relax, take time off, get in a great mood, have good dreams, refine your techniques, stay positive and know it will happen when its meant to be! (and don't forget to check out Mellen-Thomas! haha)

Sorry astrophlakes.

I was just trying to get you guys to check out Mellen, I don't know why you're apologizing to me... Mellen is kinda a hidden treasure you should all at least check out! I always looked down upon NDE'ers because it seems like they fell into the spirit world by accident or chance (which now I do not) and we OBE'res were actively seeking out these experiences, but he just has a lot of great information to share.

As far as this topic of weather or not it's a good thing to be in altered states all the time... well I think we are getting to the point now, and some misunderstanding has taken place. I don't think anyone here is saying we should be in astral awareness all the time, but that it's good to stay as close to the spirit world, as much as we can, in our daily activities. That's all. Mindfulness and higher consciousness incorporated in our daily practice. That makes sence. We're all on the same team here and I'm thankful we have each other to talk about these things with!

I love you all, and thank you all.

Man this is crazy, I got the vibes for like the next 4 nights following that first experience.  I haven't been able to hang on to the vibrational state for as long though.  I even got the vibes this morning in bed, which Ive only done a couple times ever, I'm usually a nighttime viber...  Any tips on how to hold the vibrational state for a little longer once I'm there?  Ive gotten much calmer and less panic prone and have really been enjoying the vibes, they used to freak me out quite a bit.  So I'm just trying to keep clam and "invite them in" to stay longer, but any extra tips you guys might have are totally welcome!  It seems like if I get too calm and try not to focus on anything, i just fall asleep, and of course if I panic like I did for years, I wake up.  So how do I hold that perfect balance of calm awareness without falling asleep or waking up?  Ill keep practicing though, this is getting quite interesting!

Interesting thread.  Back to the original question though, I only know of one person that can project on demand.  Have any of you guys heard of Mellen-Thomas Benedict?  He is a near death experiencer, back in the early 80's he was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, died, and was dead for at least a hour and a half, and came back to tell his story.

Of all the OBE and NDE books and workshops I've done over the past 7 years, his voice and story ring more true than all others.  After his first cosmic endeavor after he died and came back, he can access or "go to the light" as he puts it, anytime he wants.  He says that most days the light will just grab him out of his body in the morning when he wakes up, or whenever he feels the need to talk!  And its great because he is the most-researched and therefore most-documented NDE case going  (but I still don't know why more people don't know about him, he has written books but they are yet to be published because he is always disappointed at publishing companies just trying to make money...).  He has done studies for universities where he will be given a topic that he has no previous knowledge of and go to the light and come back with answers to their questions.  Like specific things!  Not just vague generalizations about the future but very specific facts.  He has invented many things, including a new photon/electron energy rejuvenation device that replaces the electrons in your body just as acupuncture does, but without the needles!  He has also done work with Cleve Backster and Bruce Lipton.

This guys has amazing knowledge and a great sense of humor.  I'm still waiting for his books, But I guarantee if you check out some of his radio interviews, you will be SO addicted!  He has been on Coast to Coast, Joyce Keller, Liz Millar, Scott Colburn, check out an interview, just do a search for Mellen-Thomas and you will see what I mean!

I think the thing I like most about him, besides his amazingly positive attitude about our future, is that he can see through a lot of the "new age crap" for lack of a better term and he gets right to the meat of any subject and takes a very scientific approach to understanding the nonphysical realms, not unlike Tom Campbell.  Check it, you won't regret it!

Wow that's funny you say that, cuz it seems like I had a hard time finding the moon and when I finally did, it was right at the highest point the zenith I guess and it looked way to small.  Right after that was when I noticed the tree that didn't look right.  So that would make a lot of sense that I went lucid at that point.  Why does looking at the moon induce a lucid dream?

Finally! After years of reading about OBEs, workshops and practice, last night was my first conscious OBE!  I have gotten to the vibrational state many times, but i always panic and cant hold it.  My first vibrational state was about 4 years ago and it was the most intense.  I felt and heard electric-like vibes in my body and I got my arms free and waved them around but have never left my body all the way.  Last night I got the vibes once, paniced, woke up and then fell asleep.  A little while later the vibes came back, even stronger now, and I was feeling even more conscious than usual and I didn't panic, I just kept telling myself to hold the vibes (cuz usually I just try an exit technique right away and Ive been thinking that I need to hold the vibrational state for a little longer) and keep calm.  I held it for what seemed to be about three times longer than I normally can, probably about a minute and a half, and then it just happened quite naturally.  I simply began to float right out.  The vibes went away and i was floating over my bed.  I made a conscious choice not to look down at my body so that I wouldn't get sucked back in and just slowly floated to the window by my bed.  I felt the weird tingly texture of the window as I passed through and out above my street.  Controlling where I went was a little difficult, but I was getting the hang of it.  I tried a mantra, I looked up to try to see the moon, I was going to use it as a reference point to fly skywards, but I didn't have full consciousness or full control.  I flew up above my house and looked down but it didn't look quite right.  It didn't look like I thought it would, like it would from an airplane.  It was almost like I was putting some of my own mental projections into the landscape.  It seems like there were houses on my block the were missing altogether and I even looked at a tree when I was at ground level and it looked almost tropical (i live in Colorado, no tropics here), and it seems like I was creating some of these inconsistencies with what my neighborhood actually looks like.

So I guess my question is can you project your own creations into the astral realm, like a tropical tree that doesn't exist?  Of course you can do this in other dimensions but I thought the astral was supposed to be an exact replica of the physical plane, but this was almost like a lucid dream where I could create objects, and some things like neighbors houses were missing.  But this definitely wasn't a lucid dream, I felt the strange texture of walls and windows when I passed through and when I floated out I was in my bed, not in some dreamscape.  I only wish I would have remembered William Buhlman's advice of saying "clarity now!" to gain full vision, consciousness and clarity, because like I said I wasn't 100% conscious and in control, more like 85%.  And maybe this is why it didn't seem to be an exact replica of the physical?  Almost everything did look right, and this morning to my suprise I noticed the "tropical" tree next door is a big, brilliant tree and maybe seeing it in the astral I put my own twist on how it looked?  It just seems like some of the details where missing in the landscape, maybe not missing, but that I couldn't see the whole street in full detail at the same time.  But it was still an amazing 5 minutes of floating around my street, I got a mantra in, I looked up at the moon and I remember it well, I woke up right after I returned. :-D  So overall I cant really ask for more from my first OBE, but next time I'm hoping for more clarity and detail and control.  But have any of you veterans noticed this lack of vision and detail on your early excursions?

Ive been using Binaurals for at least 5 or 6 years and I love them.  They are great for meditation too.  But Ive never had an OBE WHILE listening to them.  For me what works the best is finding a powerful binaural and I like one with some good background music/sound that will put you in a decent trance and a positive mood, and only listen for like 15 minutes before going to bed, but don't leave the headphones in, take them out just like you would normally go to bed.  This should relax your body enough to fall asleep, but stimulate your mind to stay awake.  Body asleep + Mind awake = vibes.  Vibes can turn into OBE.  This has worked for me many times to get the vibes, but so does reading a stimulating book right before bed and staying up late so my body is tired but mind active and the vibes come all on there own with these methods.  Then all you have to do is hold the vibes for a couple minutes and you lift out of your body!  :-D I wish it were that easy!

Ive gotten vibes many times but it wasn't until last night that I kept calm and collected and held the vibes for about a minute and sure enough, I floated right out and through my bedroom window!  Its weird I know people have said it before but it seems like the more I try to have OBEs the harder it is, then when I'm least expecting it, like last night i was tired and just going straight to bed, but I was in a great mood and could tell my mind was more awake than it should be, that's when I get the vibes au natural!  So I agree that trying too much, like listening to a binaural for an hour and a half, might not be the best for OBE.  Its great meditation, but for OBE you have to be right on that edge of losing consciousness, body already asleep, mind just wondering into pictures and colors, then out of nowhere, bam! vibes hit!  And Ive never gotten there with headphones in, but it could be that I don't like laying on my back for that long.  I'm almost always on my side, where I sleep most comfortably, when I get deep trance/vibes, and earbuds don't work well with lying on your side...

Man the whole world is already spiritual.  Its all psychedelic, all magic.  Eating food, drinking beer, wearing clothes and driving cars is just as spiritual as OBE, but I FEEL more spirit when I'm meditating or dreaming or getting the vibes at night.  But in reality, going to the dentist is just as spiritual as a mystical OBE through the cosmos.  I don't think anything is purely metaphysical and nothing is purely physical either.  Did you know that no two atoms ever touch?  The sound you hear when a bat hits a baseball are the electrons repelling off of each other because the atoms never touch.  And a single atom itself is 99% empty space already.  You have the nucleus and then way out from there is you'll have some electrons circling the nucleus, but mostly it looks just like a mini solar-system, mostly empty space.  So what does that tell us about our "physical" bodies?  That they are mostly empty space already, that we are already more spirit than flesh!  Things we would consider magic, like reincarnation or OBE or teleportation are already being proved scientifically by quantum mechanics and quantum biology.  So I would say what can you do that is NOT spiritual???

Please check out a radio interview of Mellen-Thomas Benedict, there are many good ones out there, coast to coast, Liz Millar, Joyce Keller, or check out Mellen's homepage which has links, (www.mellen-thomas.com).  He has the most amazing near-death experience story Ive ever heard, a truly cosmic journey.  When he was interacting with "the Light" he asked "Who or what is God?" And the Light said "Who or what is NOT god?" Because if you wanted to say what god is, you would have to list every particle and piece of existence in every dimension of the universe, and its just much easier to list what is NOT god (or whatever you want to call him/her/it, you know what I mean) which would be nothing, everything is a piece of the divine, therefore ANYthing you do can be labled spiritual, but its not really necessary because on some level EVERYthing is spiritual.  But like I said, of course you FEEL more spiritual when you meditate or have an OBE, but in reality they are no more spiritual than anything else you can do.  I think Einstein said it pretty good, ill paraphrase: Either you see the whole world as a miracle, or nothing as a miracle.  If you're on this site, you should probably be leaning to the whole world option!  :-D

Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: DMT
February 04, 2009, 00:34:36
I've never tried DMT, but it is THE most powerful psychidelic drug known to mankind.  You dont just trip out like LSD or mushrooms, you go somewhere else compleatly, my guess being inter-dementional.  Its also schedule-1 (illegal/no medical uses).  And it is found EVERYWHERE in nature.  They say now its harder to find organisms that DONT have it, because almost everything does (and it is funny to think that an illegal drug is inside all of us!).  It is also the active ingrediant in the South American Shamanic brew known as ayahusca.

You should really read "DMT The Spirit Molecule, by Rick Strassman".  I highly recomend this book.  Dr. Strassman is the first doctor in 30+ years to get approval from the government to study psychedelic drugs.  The book is about his clinical studys that took place early 90's in New Mexico.  Amazing book.  He goes on to theorize that DMT is "the spirit molecule" and I think he could be right.

DMT is made in the pineal gland, which is not part of the brain, but it is at the very center of both hemispheres.  Many cultures and religions hold the pineal gland as "the seat of the soul."  One very interesting thing in the book is that the pineal gland is formed in the fetus 49 days after conception; And in some Buddhist traditions, it is said that the reincarnated soul enters the body 49 days after conception... something to think about.

I personally think that DMT does initiate a form of OBE, but nothing like a "normal" OBE (as if there were such a thing!).  You're just along for the ride, as I understand it.  You would have almost no conscious control of what happens.  So I would never atempt an OBE with DMT, it makes no sence.  But I would be very interested in a study of OBEers to see if DMT is released during an OBE or a precurser to one.  DMT is an awesome substance (and very simple! DiMethylTriptamine, sounds complex but its really not) But as far as attempting an OBE, I just dont see the conection.

There is also a strange conection between DMT, OBE, and alien abduction.  I think DMT and OBE could explain almost every abduction story, even though they are not at all the same thing...

Ya man the frequency chart can be usfull, but its whatever works for you too, and everyone's different.  I would aim for a Theta wave, as this is the predominant brainwave of dreaming sleep, and also of OBE it would seem.  But others might work well too.  I've used Holosync which takes you down to a Delta wave- lower than Theta, and is the brainwave of deep, dreamless sleep- and it worked quite well to put me into an internal awarness and trance, even though I was lying down trying to get OOB, not in the meditative posture its supposed to be used with.  The Abyss, which was avalible from the Our Ultimate Reality site is a good one.  Its primarily Theta and I've had some great experiences with it.  But mostly I use Hemi-Sync (NOT Holosync) Support for Journeys Out Of The Body By Robert Monroe.  I've only had it a little over a month now, but I've been using it a lot.  Its amazing and powerful, and you get to hear Bob Monroe's voice on some of the relaxation parts, which is cool to some people like me!  The Hemi-Sync SJOOB is also recomended by Robert Bruce if that means anything to you.  Im sure there are plenty of good binaurals out there to help.  Someone mentioned The Brainwave Generator which is also cool 'cause its free.  And if you pay for the "real" version (i never have, though I would like to try it) you get to download Waves made by other users, and I have seen some very powerful ones made just for OBE atempts.  Theres also pleanty of info on Binaurals on this forum! you just have to track it down... Happy Explorations!

Hello everyone! This is my first post on this forum and I would just like to say thank for all the help i've already recived just from reading your posts.  Im writing here today because two nights ago I had my first real vibrations!  They really are unmistakable.  I have been studying/trying OBE seriously for about 3 months now, but i have had an intrest in them for a few years.  I keep reading about these vibrations and on a couple of occasions I thought I felt them, now I know that was just tingling.

The Vibes really are unmistakable, and terrifying, and extrodanarily exciting!  I've read a bunch of the OBE books and I felt like I really knew what to expect, and even then it was really scary.  I cant imagine someone having spontanious vibes, that would really freak you out.  My experience started out with a lucid dream.  I didn't have very much clarity, but I was in complete control, to the point where I could fly around the resturaunt that I work at.

Then I woke up in bed and without moving much or thinking about OBE (I was still contemplating my dream) the vibrations rushed in totally unexpected.  I would have to say that the electricity description fits the best for me - High Voltage without the pain, but at the same time i felt a lot of motion, like I was hollow or transparent and theres this River of power and electricity rushing/coarsing through my body at incredible speed.  It was incredibly intense and scary, and even though I knew what to expect, nothing can really prepare you for this.  The Vibes only lasted about 20-30 seconds.  Just enough time for me to try to break my astral arms/hands free and frail them around franticly (which worked quite well, it felt really weird, but I could move them) and then I tryed the rollout exit a couple times but I was too scared and "woke up" in the physical.

I was so happy to finally get the vibes that I just layed in bed for 30 minutes absolutly extatic.  I've always belived in OBE but this was my first real personal proof.  The next morning I wished the vibes hadent freaked me out so much and I could have tried another exit, I know I was so close, but this was a good first step.  Now that I know what the vibes feel like, I think I can get them back again and not be as afraid. I can also see now why Robert Monroe uses the affirmations before exits and on his Hemi-sync CDs, its to keep you calm and reasured that nothing bad is going to happen and to not be afraid.  I really didn't expect to be afraid at all, I though I knew well enough from reading about the Vibes what to expect, but nothing can really prepare you for this sort of energy.  Gotta keep those lovin'-good vibrations happenin' with her!
