Hi guys.

I just want to share a "weird" and first experience that I had last night. I'm not totally sure, but I remember a lot of new thing.

The most curious was that I wasn't trying anything and just that happen without I planning nothing. Well, in short I remember well that last night was a terrible sleep night. I wake up several times because it starts to rain really strong and in my room start to falling drops from the ceiling. So, after having a lot of interesting and clear dreams I got to a point when I wake up and have some issues to fall asleep again. So, I was having vibrations, which is nothing weird to me, but this time his intensity was a lot stronger than normally. So, I just stay there, trying nothing except falling asleep, and the waves starting to get a point really high when I just didn't give that so much care.

Well, it becomes to a point that I start to feel that detaching feeling that I had been before without success in projection, but this time it was a little different. So, at one point start to hearing the vibration inside of my head, and that isn't usual to me (it happened to me little 2 times before). So, I just start to feel a real detaching from the body and that I get a "special" vision different from the physical one. But I can't see a lot of things, maybe due to some hidden fears, but I remember that I could see my arms in like a glossy way moving around my face consciously. So, I could just open my eyes, but I could see in a "new" to me.

To be honest I don't know if this was a dream or not, but at the moment I thought that it was. But know checking out the whole experience I realize that I was totally aware (well not totally) of what was going on. Plus that it didn't feel like any dream.

I feel like I have do a big progress and hope that more interesting things will happen soon!

To me, the question poses a misunderstood concept...

I see no difference other than belief and perspective between Lucid Dreams and Astral Projections.

Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection aren't something you DO.
Instead, being Lucidly aware and Astrally aware is something that you ARE.

This is the fundamental misunderstanding that *MOST* people have... and why is that?
Because they trust what misguided authors say instead of trusting their own experiences.
They allow their beliefs cloud their judgment of their experiences.

Actually that is a pretty interesting point of view. I don't know to much about these things, but I guess that one stuff is dreaming (or lucid dreaming) and another totally diferent is AP. That is what I "believe" right now (I don't know if I'm wrong).

So in that way is maybe different being aware on a dream than being aware on a "astral plane". So, what I am looking now is learn to be aware on dreams, what I understand is LD, because I think that it is easier to say "Hey, I am dreaming" since everyone dreams than being aware in "another place" while practicing things on my bed.

Man, I hope that people understand what I'm talking because my english sucks  :-P

Hi guys, this is a really subjetive question, but what is easier between this 2 things?

I'm asking this because I think that I must to change my aproach for all this stuff because I'm feeling really stuck right now in my AP attemps. So, I'm thinking that maybe I must "start" with something easier like LD. If actually it is easier. And to be honest I can't be even close to be aware that I'm in a dream while dreaming  :? So maybe, that shows a kind of lack of awareness that I have to improve.

Sadly I have tried the early-morning way, but I just get to know that is not for me  :-(

I think it is for the fact that in a good sleeping night, I just close my eyes and open them at wake up time, so to me, a night when I wake up several times is a really bad night. It is a all life habit.

And 3 times that I have tried to project after having a short sleeping, nothing really happen, and I don't have a clue why  :?

But night before sleeping is my time, so I have been modifying my sleeping habits to have more hours of sleep, because when I go to bed too sleepy or tired that just screw my attemps...

Amazing source of info in this thread. Thank you so much for sharing Contenteo. Please let me ask you some questions:

The novocaine state is like a MUST in order to project, or you can just jump to the visualization part?
I ask you this, because I didn't think about that relaxation level (when my jaw and physical eyes fall asleep) like a essential thing. And for that reason I have reached that state only 2 times, because I didn't look for that. I reached it using the "noticing method" from Frank.

But usually I got deeply relaxed, and I feel my arms and legs really heavy, but I always have full control of my physical body, I mean I can just stand up at any moment, so I dont know the "body asleep" thing. Then, the novocaine state is exactly like mind-awake/body-asleep, so when you get that state you just can't move your body? Or you have full control over the physical?

I generally just jump to the "good" part (visualizating or using some mantra) from the begining. So, if novocaine milestone is really important what is the best aproach to reach it?

For last, I always have what I call "little-dreams" but I'm not sure if this is what you call visualizations non scripted (like the lady dancing). I wrote a post two weeks ago. Can you give me your thoughts about it please???

Thank you so much for all this information!

Hi guys.

As I commented here two weeks ago, I still don't successfully project after six months of attempts. But I'm still trying, and don't have plans to desist until I got it. So, I think any advice here will help me to accomplish that.

When I'm "trying" to projecting, usually after a while I became to lose awareness, and appears to came to my mind any kind of scenes (visuals and sounds especially) like little dreams that occurs between 1 and 10 seconds (really shorts). And in that time I just forget where I'm and what I'm trying, just get absorb by the scene, like a dream again.

My question is: this is a good or bad signal in terms of projecting successfully???

IMO they are strongly related to the "dreamland" because as it becomes stronger and more frequent I generally lose totally awareness and fall asleep. And it occurs more often when I'm too sleepy.

Oh, and I've watched that this little dreams are different to the black outs that I related to the change of consciousness (when you wake back more away from physical).

What are your thoughts about this???

Thanks and sorry for my english

Hi guys.

Aparently there is something wrong with the "Notify me" feature of the forum. I say this because when I posted my first thread, I click over the "Notify me of replies" checkbox inside of Additional Options. And when I click over the NOTIFY button on the main menu of the created thread, it asks me if I don't want to recibe more notifications.

Maybe I have to set that in my account. Any clues???

I was sad thinking that nobody had answered to me because I didn't see the notifications on the email  :-D

Hey guys!

I'm new in this forum and new to AP too. I've been practicing for 6 months without success (by success I mean projecting).

So, here is what I do almost every night:
Lately, I have been trying some visualization exercices (mental rundown) and I get strong vibrations, touching feelings, buzzing sounds, and all kind of "good" things. But, that is not enought to projecting within the astral or even in RTZ. So, I'm a little frustrated, because some people try it for two days and they got it. And I don't have a clue about what I'm doing wrong.

So, any suggestion will be really aprecciated. By the way, sorry for my english (I speak spanish)  :-D
