I also had the same experience as a child I had blond hair. I wanted it to be darker and Now my hair is much darker but I know its not uncommon for a kids hair to change as they get older so It could be coincidence. I had an interesting experience almost a year and a half ago. I was having a slight relapse to a mental breakdown I had about 2 years ago. I took myself off anti psychotics and started living an unhealthy lifestyle of smoking pot and drinking. Anyway for about 3 months I wasn't stable emotionally and I would sometimes have hallucinations or possibly realizations and this was before I was a spiritual person. Anyway I was looking in the mirror one night and told myself I didn't like my eye color cause its just a plain brown and I wanted green eyes. I kind of wished they would start turning green. I went to bed and when I woke up I looked in the mirror and had green eyes but my eyes were somewhat big and alien looking. They   definitely looked strange on me. I woke up in bed again realizing it was a dream. I looked in the mirror and the same thing happened only my eyes were even bigger and a very strange color of green. The same thing happened again with my eyes looking even bigger. Then I woke up and fell asleep again. I think this happened to make me realize my eyes are fine the way they are.
