How's about imagining yourself floating upwards, rather than an affirmation? I was going to try that myself, but ever since winter hit where I am, the cold's completely nullified any sort of technique I had... :( Anyway, good luck getting out again. :)

Like I said, just imagining myself going upwards didnt work when I tried. Maybe I have to try again. I'll keep this thread updates with my progress.

I know this experience. You might not be deep enough to project. Some say that vibrations are a result of a de-synchronisation between your physical senses and mental senses. This transition seems to get less dramatic as you become less shocked by moving between the states. Some authors recommend that the point of feeling vibrations is too early in the process to exit and that you want to wait until you are on the other side of the transition and they calm down.

All of my wake induced experiences have been from this other side, but I mostly got there coincidently. When I experienced heavy vibrations and the rapid relaxation wave I was unable to remain calm enough to complete the process. It is also said that it is possible to induce the separation at this point with a very strong intent to grab a rope and climb for instance, however, like you I have found this results in my physical body moving.

Well the other night when the vibes arose I imagined a sphere on a white side of my shoulder and then I felt dragged to my right. Issue is that this would never end, like being dragged to my right for a very long time without I could separate neither, so I dropped it.

I read one of William Buhlman's book last night and he said that when you feel the vibrations you have to focus your will outside of your body such as to your bedroom door or another room in your place. Will have to try.

This is really annoying, I dont know why I can't have images showing up anymore, it made the whole process be so easier, I just had to imagine touching them and I was "there".

Thanks for your reply. You're raising interesting points. I don't know neither what makes us experience either phasing or vibrations.

Phasing is way more easier because it doesn't involve the physical body. When I have the pictures I just imagine touching what I see. As you said, it's only mental. I don't have to move or think about anything physically related. It's a feeling, a will to touch - I use the sense of touch - what I see and automatically I'm there.

Vibrations are more challenging because only using mental affirmations doesn't work (so far). Therefore when feeling the vibrations, I stated "clarity now" and couldn't see, "I'm teleporting [name of the place] and it didn't work neither, "I'm floating" and nope didn't work neither.

So I'm there, vibrating like an idiot and not knowing what to do. When I try to move, my body moves and all is over ; when I do nothing, they fade out. This is annoying. I've been told to imagine some spheres to some specific points around my body and that will allow me to exit. Thought process must be that doing so I 'throw' my counsciousness is various parts in the space and that will lead my mind to project. Have to try, can't say if this work. Also been said to focus on the part of my body which seems to vibrate the most so that the vibrations increase in all my body, spreading out. Have to try this as well.

I'm happy that I can quite easily reach the vibrational stage. It's been a long way to get there.

Unfortunately and since they're never the same, I never know what to do to be able to project.

Sometimes, they are wild and strong. In those case, I don't do anything and just go with the flow and I find myself in the astral realms.

a) However, recently has seen them being mild, soft. They can last quite a long time, for instance today I had them the entire morning. But I can't do anything when they are that weak. I try to strenghten them by imagining that I'm swinging or levitating but nothing works. Do you have the same problem ?

b) Another issue is that I never know when to move (supposing that I dont go with the flow) to exit my body. So, more often then not when I try to move, this is my body which moves. Never know if I have to move as soon as they come or if I have to let them grow ? (but what if they DON'T INCREASE ?)

I've found way more easy to project using the phasing method. Issue is that I don't always have dream images showing up. Sometimes I only have the vibrations and therefore I'm quite ****ed up not knowing what to do..

Do some people here have the same issue ?

As about the experience in itself, when lucid I called for an Archangel and saw a Knight landing from the sky in a white and red armor. Unfortunately I woke up, remained still, chained with another LD of minor importance.
#5
well actually yes, it tends now to be like "you have to sleep 4 to 6 hours of sleep before LD because before that you wont get into REM sleep etc". Hence the WBTB technique.
#6
wow, jumping off of a cliff and fly ! I WANT TO DO THAT !!!  :-(
#7
What happened last night already occured some couple of times in the past, therefore I decided to post about it because it contradicts all what you can read on the internet about lucid dreamings.

Yesterday morning I woke up, went to work, came back home, ate lunch, went to bed at midnight.

So, I didnt have any afternoon or evening nap, this is a very important thing to keep in mind.

After I fell asleep at midnight I had a lucid dream. When I woke up it was 2:20am.

Conclusion : you can LD at any time of the night, even during the earliest and first sleep cycles. Saying that you dont have REM sleep on the 1st stage, hence why you have to WBTB to LD is a wrong statement. I had 3 LDs in total occuring when I went to bed after diner and without any prior afternoon or evening nap.

Yup the trouble on nightshift is not going into phase out mode.  I would still practice during the daytime though. It's better to have your body trained to trance before trying to phase out. The natural tendency is to sleep..

So trying to AP during afternoon naps ?

Que tenga un tiempo magnifico alla. Me gustaria ver el pais de Peru.   I also lay on my side. There are times when we work through the night if I have a particularly receptive period and am not too sleepy. I usually go on my side for those sessions. It depends on my focus that day as to whether or not I can do it without falling asleep. It's best to practice trance in a chair instead of trying to do it in bed. It was almost a year of chair practice before we started doing anything at night.

he he ;)

I'm flying to Peru for a full month of Ayahuasca ceremonies (purpose : healing, which answers in some ways to your 1st reply)

Somebody advised me to wake up after 2 hours of sleep at night, go sit in my couch, turn on tv and zone out and try to AP. Worth a shot you think ?

I have trouble doing anything flat on my back. I work trance in a recliner most of the time. The position is such that I won't fall asleep, but my back is is comfortably supported. Mental pain means something is buried there that needs healing. Get into trance and ask for divine help.

Thanks for your post

Cant have any recliner unfortunately.

About the healing part of your message, I'm flying to Peru in a shamanic retreat next month, so that might help.

Thanks

Odd thing happened last night, can someone help me ?

I did a WBTB so I woke up at 4:30am, went to the bathroom and returned to bed to induce an AP (layed down on my back which is NOT my sleeping position and therefore is not very comfy for me).
I felt my body become strange but the bad thing that occured is that at some point IT HURT to remain in that position which is not natural for me.

As if there was a fight between my mind who wanted to sleep so bad and my body which couldnt rest in that non natural sleeping position.

So it REALLY became painful and since it became unbearable I turned over to my natural sleeping position and ofc fell asleep

Question : is that "fight" between my mind and my body something that on the contrary I should maintain in order to AP ?

Because obviously remaning on my back prevents my mind from falling asleep so it could be something good, but on the other hand physically it really hurt so I dont know if this is a good thing for my body.

Any help is welcomed, thanks

Let us know how that goes for you :) And have a safe trip! (look at me and my fancy double entendre ;) haha )

Hey thanks buddy !

I will be flying from 3th of january for a full month and will have 14 Ayahuasca ceremonies ! I'm so scared but so excited as well. Ayahuasca can heal and teach in so many ways about so many things (including astral travels).

Can't wait !

I decided to go in South America instead in 1 month to have some Ayahusca ceremonies with a shaman.

Ok just to clear up policy here, with this stuff we cannot advise on use, safety of use, or anything related to the actually substance itself. Mostly legal reasons. The safety information I am providing is for your benefit, but is not advice in how to procede.

What we can discuss is the nature of the substances themselves, and the experiences behind them. So to that end-

When a person engages in that activity, the first risk they encounter is sourcing. Mushrooms are notoriously difficult to identify. Even a trained mycologist (mushroom expert) cannot identify them by sight, and requires genetic or chemical testing to ascertain what the sample is.

The mushrooms sought for their psychoactive properties are literally identical to others which are deadly toxic. The mushrooms are thus as safe as their source. If this is something you engage in, you must be sure that the person who sourced them grew them.

Usually the active ingredient in those mushrooms is psilocybin. It is a hallucinogen fairly well studied, and believed to have minimal lasting effects, but this is not known for certainty. The sorts of experiences it tends to produce are erratic, intense affairs that can be both elating and horrifying to the user. For this reason it is unsafe to use without several sober attendents.

It is like a projection in the sense of being a non-physical experience, but it is unlike a standard projection in terms of being radically uncontrolled. I can understand what motivates a person to engage here, but it isn't the most balanced way to approach this art. If you participate, you will be provided with a very different experience that may inform your life in some way, but will not likely aid you in conscious projections. They are too different.

Be safe, and try to keep the discussion experience and theory-related. Unfortunately we cannot really discuss use.

Thanks I totally understand your policy point.

Controling the quality of the substance might be an issue indeed and as I told I'm not into drugs at all. Only time I tried cannabis - 20 years ago - I just took 1 hit JUST ONE and was ill the entire night, puking and thinking I would die lol

So well, seems like I'm gonna pass.

Thanks for your insights

I'm not into shrooms at all. I'm not into drugs at all. Never took any.

A friend suggest we go to Amsterdam for a week end. He is into AP as well.

He says that magic mushrooms can lead to some deep and intense astral projections and can help projecting.

I'm not that sure about doing it. On the other hand I tell myself that maybe the use of them once will "unlock for good" all the resistances in my mind which prevent me from projecting.

Any advice ? Thanks !

Cool Thanks !

I was asking because once I found myself floating in my bedroom and without wanting to go anywhere I felt an invisible force grabbing me. I didnt resist and let the invisible energy take me where it wanted. I found myself flying in the sky to a certain destination without doing anything since I just let the force grab me and put me at the destination it wanted.

This is because of that experience that I asked. Thanks for your answer. Flying on manual mode is I guess more fun ! :)

Mirrors were the first and most obvious gateways or portals that occurred to me. Windows, doorways, pictures and paintings are others.

Having and expressing your Intent for a destination in the proper way is the key. Once you have that part you begin to realize that literally anything can be utilized as a gateway, or that gateways aren't even necessary in the first place.

The two commands you suggested should work, just remember the Intent that must go along with the command: like the certainty of stating a known fact. Or a strongly felt desire.

It can be as simple as, "I want to go here." or "I want to see this person."

Often you will end up where you originally expected, but sometimes you can be diverted elsewhere, so be ready for unexpected adventures.

thanks !

but if a mere statement suffices to go somewhere or see a being, mirrors get unnecessary then right ?

just have to say "I want to go to the moon now !" without jumping through a mirror and that would have the job done, correct ?

Another question, can we use the mirror as a scrying device ? For instance, I want to see where I will be in 10 years, so I go in front of the mirror and ask : "show me what my life will likely be in 10 years !". Could this work ?

I have a question about flying.

Let's say that I find myself projecting somewhere in my appartement and I decide to go to the cemetery (dont ask lol)

How is the process of flying from my place to the cemetery ? Is it :

- I state out loud or mentally that I want to fly to the cemetery and then I find myself like dragged by an invisible force and I'm flying on auto pilot mode without having to do anything ?

or

- Do I have to actively jump out of my balcony and "manually" fly to my destination ?

thanks !

It took me well over 10 years to have my first conscious exit projection... never once did I say I couldn't do it.

You often recall this on this forum, so I have some questions about your experience if you dont mind :

a) what blocked you all those years ? Do you know now the reason why you couldnt achieve AP for such a long time ?
b) I guess you took some breaks sometimes right ? I mean, you didnt try to AP every night for 10 years without stopping uh ?
c) what made you become successfull at last, knowing that from now you could do it on a regular basis ?

thanks for sharing your xp !

Can mirrors be used as gateway once we are projecting ?

Let's say for instance that I wish to meet spirit x : do you think I could state something like "when I go through that mirror I will be in presence of spirit x" ?

Or same for a location : "once I go through this mirror I will be on the moon".

Would both those affirmations work ?

Thanks !

You don't.
You can't know for 100% certain.

You have to learn to live gracefully with the idea that there are things that you may never know for certain.

Anyway, "is it really your uncle" isn't the question you should be asking. What's more important is this:  Did you gain something positive or beneficial from the experience of meeting with that "deceased" loved one?  :)

I'm in a spiritual situation where I need the guidance of a certain deceased loved one. So, yes, this is very important I can reach that particular person to help me in this turn over point in my spiritual life. A projection of my mind as sweet as it could be wouldnt be what I need now. I need to consult THAT deceased loved one, so again, yeah this is actually what is more important for now.
#23
The astral being the realm of all illusion, this is a real concern for me.

Supposing that you want to AP and once in the astral realms you decide to go and see your deceased uncle (or brother, father, friend etc)

After a while you are led to that person.

What guarantee do you have to really deal with that deceased loved one ? How to be sure that you're not facing an impostor spirit acting like your [uncle, father, etc] ?

Spirits read minds. We all read minds in the astral. Communication is telepathic. So, supposing that I ask to that person something that only me and him/her knew (for instance "how did you die ?"), what prevents the spirit to read into your mind and to give you the correct answer, making you believe that you're dealing with the right person ?

Is there something unbeattable and which allow one to be 100% sure to really be facing the deceased loved one he wish to meet ?

Thanks

A,
To get as far as you have shows progress. The last thing most people post about is an underlying fear. After that it's out and about in the NP.
B,
The shadow person is very typical for many. It's been written about for a long time too. The stabbing fear is from within you. It'll be something you've thought about and not liked at all. You may require a good think as to where it comes from. It may be a movie or something you've seen in your past.
C,
Good question, it appears from many posts from beginners that the fear issue isn't resolved sufficiently. The underlying scare from times gone by has left an imprint in your subconscious that faded with time. It still exists but never got resolved. Until these scarey thoughts have been sorted out they can appear in an experience. If you've had a few nice experiences they can appear with a vengence that you'll take personally and it will really scare you. It's just the physics of thought manifestation, once understood you can shrug it off and it immediately dissapears. Without any understanding the fear runs away with you and you'll not want to do any more. In a nutshell, you are only scaring yourself. Removing the fears you have through understanding will stop the runaway dead in its tracks. It is quite a hurdle if you have many fear issues unresolved.
D
Simply know you're safe and it's an echo from your subconcious trying to show you what you need to face. Just deny it has any power over you and continue with your attempt. Once you are successful these fear issues immediately are gone.

Such great answers, thanks a lot !

c) yeah, that makes me wonder. Seems like the whole universe is against our efforts to AP : our subcounscious, the "astral police", entites.. Apparently some forces want us to remain chained.

I will keep at working. I've had only 10ish AP since november 2013 so this is not a lot at all.

I have identified the moment where the magic happens (from 4:30am to 6:30am roughly and more between 5 and 6am), and I have identified the best position for me to AP (on my back but lightly turned to one side or the other).

So, with those 2 things set up I "just" have now to work on the technique to achieve APs. Still a lot of work to do to get to know myself and see what works for me.

Will keep that thread updated if it doesnt bore the board

Thanks again !

Theta is the waves you're looking for, but beats wont make you project but put you in a better disposition to be successful if you do the work.

Try these :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO7AWHFEjy8

and

http://www.multidimensionalman.com/Multidimensional-Man/Free_Deep_Meditation_Sounds_-_Binaural_Beats.html
(this one really made me almost project once)

Affirmations are such bitches ! If I fear not to wake up a morning because I have something to do you can bet that I will naturally always wake up on time (so one sole affirmation suffices to produces instant results) but when I say to myself x times a day during 1 month that I will be aware in my dreams then ===== > NADA, ZERO, NOTHING. So unfair !
