Excellent replies. I appreciate it guys. Got it, so don't attempt this before bed, be aware, and learn to focus.

Also, great link Xanth. That's going to definitely help in the long run!

Hello,

before sleep sometimes I try to do the phasing technique. I find that while that I can be immersed in the situation I create, I tend to lose track of what I am doing. When i regain consciousness, I already snapped myself out of the "zone". Am I doing this at a wrong time aka before bed? or should I just focus more intent?

Thanks !

I appreciate everones input  :-D I will keep this reply short ( as I am typing from my phone, hopefully I will edit it later). I understand that my intentions may not be clear for the lack of clarification on my end. Kundalini is to be respected and not feared, I understand this and hope to do just that.

I feel that if the opportunity is presenting itself in India, and there is large room for spiritual growth there, why not go for it? I am limited with the resources available in Kuwait, and many advise undergoing Kundalini with a teacher of sorts. I do appreciate the feedback from everyone and I hope to add more in the future.

P.S. I will be going to a 1 week trip to India and see what it's like over there. Any recommendations?

Understand that spiritual growth doesn't happen by hiding in a temple.  Spiritual growth happens though your interactions with other consciousnesses.   You don't need to go to a temple of ashram for this.

Quite the opposite in fact.  Learn that the temple is within you through those interactions.

I agree with this on many levels, and yes, spiritual growth does occur with interactions with the ones around you. However, with the research I've been gathering, many people seem to require a break from reality once they begin experiencing Kundalini awakening. It's a powerful energy that can cause serious issues if not awakened in the right environment. This is the main reason I want to be away when this happens.

If you want something very very deep I were you I would go with studying and doing ceremonies with the shamans, as they can clear your energy body much faster than meditating. But once you got the initial karmic blockages out I would then go with an ashram perhaps. Or you can check out http://www.iacworld.org/english they have a couple of places around the world where you can learn astral projection. And of course you can learn it in America at http://www.monroeinstitute.org/  Perhaps meetup.com has some place where you can learn or specialize in astral projection. Just type in astral projection and India OR Bangladesh into the meetup.com search engine, IDK.

In the end I wouldn't go with any of these unless you want to seclude yourself in order to meditate at least 8 hours a day and mostly focus on meditation practice. I've thought about doing this myself. But my health doesn't permit it. I have found free places where you can live there and do meditation. Though one of them was very small, and they could only take so many people. Didn't you google search this? I found some places with little effort some time ago when I as searching. I have to go to bed now, but tomorrow I will help a little more.

The shamanic rituals are very deep, it appears they get zapped into the spiritual realm faster than any other practices. I understand their use of substances such as ayahuasca can bring about enhanced spiritual experiences quick. From what I gathered, shamans are very secretive and selective with who they teach their knowledge to. This is all fine, and not a problem if I was considering shamanism, but something about them that I can't quite put my finger on. I respect their culture and rituals, that's for sure. I'd definitely be interested in learning more about soul retrievals from them, but I'm not sure, maybe not just yet.

I'm finding an opportunity present itself in India, working for a newly established I.T. firm in the academic sector. It's nice because I can work from home for this job. However, I'm seriously looking into moving to India to work with the other staff members (meetings etc.). This company is based in Bangalore, but given the nature of my job, I can work from anywhere in India.

My question is:

  • Where in India do you think I will be able to find an area that has people interested in astral projection, and Kundalini energy? As you are well aware, different regions in India have different cultural backgrounds/language/heritage/beliefs.
  • Does this place have easy access to good internet and electricity ? So that I can work remotely and pay the bills

It isn't easy paying the bills if you are meditating eight hours a day and most countries aren't willing to grant citizenship or long term visas to someone who isn't already financially stable or doesn't have a  needed skill that the host country views as critical.

You may have to make an appeal to a monastery and see if they are willing to host you on their behalf. Peru isn't likely to do this because they are trying to shed their image and want to be seen as industrialized nation and many Buddhist monasteries don't take foreigners seriously since theirs can be a hard path for people born outside of the culture. There are exceptions so don't give up easily. :-)

You are correct, this is something I am considering greatly. I'm torn between saving up for 2-3 years then moving, or moving there (wherever there is, most likely India) and finding a job, save up (whilst regularly visiting an ashram), then once enough is saved up to move into an ashram.

The thing is, I'm not from the U.S. I'm from Kuwait  :-P

I want to experience a spiritual journey where I can safely practice some of the more intense rituals (such as experiencing a Kundalini awakening), without having to worry about work or car maintenance. I'm thinking of going to an Ashram, but need help finding a suitable one. I'm also open to any form of suggestions.

A shaman I know suggested going to Peru, and practicing with the shamans there. However, I'm more attracted to the eastern belief system.

Hello,

I am looking at the various cultures that observe astral projection, and I'm finding that there certain sects within the same belief system that practice astral projection more rigorously than others. I want to know which culture practices it the most? The Taoists, Hindus, Sufis or who? and from within said religion, which of the sects practices it more.

The reason I ask is because I intend to to move to a temple, ashram or anywhere else (temporarily for 5 years or so) to practice/evolve spiritually. Astral projection is very important to the process, but I am also interested in adopting new way of life and thinking which includes but is not limited to countless hours of meditation each day.

The question(s):

Where would you recommend going? More specifically, where and Who to go to in that country? Take India for example, it's huge, and there are many different people with different beliefs, and some are more interested in astral projection than others.

I appreciate any feedback, and hope to find good recommendations! Thanks.

P.S. I know it's not necessary to go anywhere to learn more about Astral Projection, but that is not the primary focus of my journey.

Thank you all for your replies, they truly help! I'm happy to say that I've made some form of progress. I managed to get my arms out of my body. However, everything else was stuck inside my body.

Now I need to figure out why the rest of me won't come out lol.

Thanks for the reply. Any links that provide more information on the ear-hiss approach?

What I found that works for me is as follows: I get to the point you are talking about. Instead of laying like this for ever waiting. I have to let myself start to fall asleep. To do this I roll onto my side and relax. I let my focus drift off and I have found that all the practice done prior anchors my focus to drift back and forth. Within about 30 seconds I get bombarded with thunder and it all happens on it's own. No method required.

Those methods are keeping a lot of people too focused on the physical. At least it was doing that to me. Since I practice in the mornings, when I let myself fall asleep I don't fully go to sleep like I do at night (because I'm fully rested already). Any time I feel the signposts, if I try a method it ruins it. Just let it all happen and enjoy it.

Hope this helps I'm still learning. Have only had 4 projections.

Nick

Hey, appreciate you helping me out. Mind explaining a little more on how you use anchors? Is it a mental thought you keep referring to? or does it mean something else? The issue is that I get vibrations (sometimes with the buzzing noises), and they will linger for a while before they disappear. After they disappear, I try getting up and nothing. Once you experience vibrations, what is the next step? Hope you can help me further, and I appreciate your response!

EDIT: I edited the entire original post to highlight the new problem I'm facing.

What method do you use to get out of body, astralee ?

I'm getting somewhat better at achieving vibrations. However, getting past them and out of body is proving to be difficult. Relaxing and "embracing" them is what I've doing, and I've been getting better at prolonging them. Though I am utterly confused when they come to an abrupt end. Any ideas on what I should (or shouldn't) be doing?

EDIT: spelling

The problem:

The issue is that I get vibrations (sometimes with the buzzing noises), and they will linger for a while before they disappear. After they disappear, I try getting up and nothing.

More information:

  • I will drift in and out of sleep; getting into a state where I will naturally find myself in vibration mode
  • From my previous efforts, I just let the vibrations play out. However, I find some thoughts tending to interfere with the process which i simply ignore. I take the back seat and let them do their thing without me putting any deep attention to them.
  • Is it these uncontrollable random thoughts that are stunting my progress? I do not exercise these thoughts, I look past them the best I can so that I am unfazed by them. But I could be doing something wrong? I don't know

Once you experience vibrations, what is the next step? Appreciate any feedback!

If so, anyone that tried it can report in?

Hello, first post for me.

I had a similar experience with a blinding white light once. It was quite strong and intense. It came in a little bit after the vibrations. I'm still new to astral projection, and thus haven't been able to get past vibrations.
