I've astral projected very briefly after self-induced sleep paralysis. That should have been enough proof for me. Then I once asked for help getting out of my body and was literally shaken/pulled out of my body by the ankles, but I couldn't see what did it. I haven't doubted it since, though it's been a while since I've ap'd

I recently bought a small piece of moldavite. I've been keeping it in its sack underneath my pillow for the past couple of days, no luck so far. Any suggestions darkside? I'd love to experience something like this.

Yup, it works.

I've done it a couple times coming out of normal sleep... but it's most handy when you're coming out of a lucid or astral experience, because you usually know when you're waking up.

I call it the "eyes closed/body still" method.  In that as you feel yourself waking up out of your experience you keep your eyes closed (if you open them even to blink, the state is gone) and your body completely still (don't move a muscle), then just stay like that and in about 10 - 20 seconds you'll shift back into the non-physical usually right where you left.

I've used this method to extend experiences multiple times in a row... my record is 6 times in a row I've gone back into the same experience.  :)
This happens to me as well. If I feel the vibrations coming on but they start to fade, I'll stay frozen and they usually come back.

2 years ago:
QuoteAt around 1:30 AM I couldn't sleep at all, so I sat in bed thinking and was very relaxed. Then suddenly I felt a strong jolt of vibrations throughout my entire body that felt amazing. I opened my (nonphysical?) eyes, and tried to move but I couldn't, feeling lightheaded and hearing crackling/popping sounds. The vibrations strengthened, and I lifted my hand out of my body.

Eventually, with the vibrations still going strong, I was literally floating in the air half a foot above my body. I couldn't see anything since it was so dark. Got off the bed and my astral body fell to the floor. I scrambled to get up on my hands and knees and ran to the door, tried putting my arm through it, but was snapped back into my body.

Mkj, it can still occur at times, years down the road, depending on a few factors : proximity, lucidity, etc.. Once you're aware of the feel of it, when it doesn't work right, you'll figure it out pretty quickly and straighten things out. Just another of the things to learn along the way.
Hi :)
I think proximity is the main cause of mess ups for me. I've AP'ed a handful of times but none of them lasted longer than two minutes, mostly because I can't distance myself from my body fast enough. I have difficulty passing through doors and walls. It's a common problem but easily conquered, from what I've read on here.

Omg! I used to love your videos and art years ago when I had a dA/youtube accounts.

Welcome! :)

I wish I'd read this thread beforehand, thank you all for the tips.

I had the same problem, OP. In the process of vibrations and unpeeling myself from my physical body, I tried to gain sight. Ended up opening my physical eyes instead which screwed up the experience this morning.

I got SP once while sleeping on my side (I usually sleep on my back) but nothing happened except being stuck.

Aaaahhh the Night Hag coming to take a shot at you! And you had the right response- no fear! So she took off...

A couple months ago, I was on the verge of a RTZ exit and was struggling to lift out. Suddenly a young woman, having a really bad hair day, was leaning over close to my face and screaming at me. She caught me off guard, so I screamed back, and the two of us just screamed at each other in harmony for a few seconds; then I realized what was happening, smiled and started beaming PUL at her and she disappeared in a poof!
Then I fell asleep...
lmao! Sorry, but this was so funny. Though the thought of having a screaming match with a tantrum-throwing hag sounds much less scarier in my head than the actual experience, I would imagine.

You're interpreting that correctly.
Per Tom, if you become a liability to the system in that you simply refuse, time and time again, to grow spiritually... the system can choose to remove you from the game.
What point is there is allowing a consciousness to continue when it has so much fear within it that growth simply isn't an option anymore?

The question is... why does this not sit well with you?
Don't really know. It brings up a whole new set of questions that he never really addressed. Such as what being is running the system that gets to decide the limit, what the actual limit is, what happens after the piece is retired (i.e. is it sent to 'hell' like in Christianity? Or is the soul simply destroyed and ceases to exist?), etc. And just the fact that the system can lose hope in someone, I guess.

You might enjoy this video from Tom Campbell:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GiLDuaDl4I
At one point he likens repeated suicide (of the same soul) to a defunct game piece. I think he says something like the 'master' or 'god' that plays the piece ends up eventually retiring the piece because it doesn't progress through the game and instead continuously suicides/exits. Is he saying that there's a limit to the amount of times a soul can kill themselves before the system gives up on them or something..? I hope I'm interpreting it wrong, it doesn't really sit well with me.

Hello everyone. :) About time I started posting. I've been creeping for a month or so but had no stories to contribute until recently.

This happened to me a few nights ago. I woke up in the middle of the night, got something to drink, and went back to bed. A few minutes later I was suddenly being tugged upward and out by my ankles. I tried to resist but it just wouldn't stop, so I went with it. The weird thing is that I didn't feel any handprints wrapped around my ankles nor could I see what was doing it. It was just an invisible energy force around my legs pulling me out. It didn't seem "bad" or "good" and I'm not even sure if it existed because it had no form. Then once I was out, I started floating up toward the ceiling and put my hand through it, but was quickly sucked back into my bed. Pretty cool for a first experience. :)
