Well...if you listen to all the doomsayers they say part of the Apocalypse is everyone being 'marked' and 'tracked' by the devil. Up until now they have told us that there is a good possibility of it being from chips implanted in us....but how about tiny little radio frequency identifiers that we cant even see being attached to everything we buy? Hi All,

Buddhism seems to be something I have slowly been drawn too in more of a way to live life rather than as a formal spiritual/religious practise. There seems to be a whole lot of truth to what is said/taught and it seems to me that I am being guided towards learning more. There are more and more books around bringing the teachings with a more western influence which I am grateful for! Like, Awakening The Buddha Within by Lama Surya Das. If anyone is interested in Buddhism and how relevant it is to todays world I suggest giving this book a read.

Now, my question is what are the thoughts of you people about the relevance of Buddhism in todays world as well as Buddhism in general. And, if any of you are Buddhists how do you go about integrating your practises within the context of modern life?

Hi all!

I was just wondering about the link between energy work and lucid dreams. My dreams are usually much more vivid after energy work but am I more likely to LD?

My girlfriend has quite a few spontaneous LD's but she does no energy work at all! Lucky!!

Also, any tips of the best way to trigger a LD?

Wow...Bible Codes are something I had forgotten all about. I heard about them a few years ago and thought they sounded interesting. I don't however think that they are a valid base for divination. With any large body of text there are always going to be letters that spell out other words at some stepping number. Works like War and Peace, Moby willy, etc etc would all have codes in them too. Life happens no matter what we worry about. I have taken on a bit of Buddhist philosophy in regard to this. The First Noble Truth is 'Life Is Suffering' which I take to mean as life is hard...the struggles and hardships we face are a part of life that everyone goes through and needlessly worrying about them only compounds them. Now days I try to live my life in the understanding that life is hard. I deal with whatever issues are important to my current situtation and once resolved enjoy the peace and tranquility until the next one comes along, which it always does.

Our mindset and decisions can also influence what struggles and hardships we face in life but somethings are unavoidable and I think what really counts is how we react to what we have to face. We can only be responsible for what we say and do so the only person who can make you change is yourself. If you dont like worrying or all those 'little things' that happen every day then make a conscious effort to change the way you view them and the way you react to them. I saw a documentary a little while ago about Religion in Star Wars and George Lucas said that what he was trying to do was tell the old stories from lots of various religions in a new way. To try and bring them to a new generation.

Faith to me is a hard thing to describe. It has so many aspects each different.  All the aspects you guys have already discussed, i.e. faith=hope and blind faith, are all valid interpretations but in relation to spiritual development faith can be a nasty beast but also a blessing.

Faith is used by your 'big' religions to keep people coming back week after week and in that case I think is used in a bad way. Promise them something and we have them for life.

The way I use faith in my life is different. I have faith in myself that I will find my path in life and develop spiritually so I guess it is a bit of a trust in myself.

One technique I use a bit was taught to me by a teacher waaaaay back in high school. We had to imagine a stream flowing up into us from our feet all the way up to our heads.
