Awesome, thanks. I was wondering if it was something to do with memory and/or visualization. Might try an experiment soon with placing specific objects in certain rooms to help with transference.

A good practice for now is once you get deep in your meditative state, start focusing on your Kitchen or your Living Room. Try to see it with as much detail as you can. Feel as you touch different objects in that room. But don't keep checking back to see what your physical body is doing or feeling. I was guilty of this quite a bit and this hinders progress as well.
