Welcome to Dreams! / Knowledge from Dreams
August 19, 2003, 12:47:54
Hello, I have an interesting LD/dream experience to share. I had a dream, and unfortunately I became lucid too late, at the very end of the dream.

I was sitting in a huge auditorium, there was some kind of discussion being held, the subject was psychology. In the dream I received huge amount of data about human psyche. It felt like a river of knowledge is passing through my mind, incredible! I couldn't understand much of the data given, there were alot of words too complex for me to understand, the data was just too complex to be understood and remembered. Perhaps I would remember more of it if I got lucid sooner, and then willing myself to understand more. It looked so natural that I thought it was real and not a dream. I got lucid when I saw a man in front of me levitating few centimeters above the floor. Unfortunately, dream already started to fade, and I couldn't maintain it. While I was awakening, I still felt knowledge coming through me, and then it stoped. Did anyone else had this kind of dreams? If you did, could you remember any data that you were given?

Can't wait to read your experiences related to this [:D]

Hello. I wonder if you can answer my question. For a month now I've been dreaming weird symbols. I was told by my mom, a Usui Reiki user that these are Reiki symbols, which are a secret unless you are initiated into the second level of Reiki (which she has been initiated into). I have been initiated into the first level of Reiki two years ago, and the energy provided by it was sufficient for me, until now. My capability to chanel Reiki is no longer so strong as it used to be. Like I'm ready for something more. My mom thinks that I could be ready for the second level/degree, but fees requested by the Masters are astronomical. So perhaps these dreams have other meaning, perhaps I'm missing something. Actually I just want that my ability to chanel Reiki restores, because I feel like the great river of Reiki within me suddenly transformed into a  simple creek. Any suggestions?

I am interested in your state of mind while projecting. I recently started to pay atention to this, as I have discovered that while I'm projecting, I am actually the exact oposite of my physical self. For example, I am a very shy person, insecure, fearfull. But while projecting I am fearless! Like everything negative is removed from me. I have found that thinking is very accelareted while projeting. The decisions can be made quickly, because the thinking speed is very, very increased. Everything is so clear. After a projection I feel stronger and higly inspired. This lasts for a day or two, but the inner peace that remains from a projection lasts for a week or two. I would like to know your experiences about this. What do you notice about your mental state while projecting? How often do you meet negative entities (never met one, must be because I don't believe I can be harmed)? What differences have you noticed between the astral and the physical mind?

...if I could get some insight on how does your society in general react on subjects such as OBE or some forms of energy development. You see, here, in Croatia, people are frightened by these new subjects. They believe that all new things, such as OBE, Reiki, even Yoga are a work of Satan. I know it sounds foolish. But if you go to //www.vatican.va and search for "New age" in their documents you will see a huge report cursing all energy work and similar subjects. It's like it was writen by someone who lives in my country. The people here are afraid of anything new, of God, his wrath, that they will go to hell etc. Most of the priests of all faiths support these thoughts. I feel so lonely because there are certain times I want to discuss my experiances with someone, not on the forum, because some OBEs are too personal. I know there are alot of web pages about OBE, and related subjects, but what I really want to know is - are the people around you open enough to discuss OBEs without dooming you to the "fires of hell" or "eternal torment". I mean your general surroundings. How open is your country, nation to such subjects? I have a feeling I live in 11th century![|)] Can you tell me your experiances related to this?

Hey, starjasmine88, thanks for sharing your experience. It's great that you have decided to make a bigger effort in remembering in analyzing your dreams, the benefits of this are great.

Good luck to you, [:)]

By the way, timeless your experiences sound really interesting. I had another of those learning dreams, it was in some kind of a theater, and there wasn't so much people, unfortunately my alarm clock turned on before I started to receice that "river of knowledge". Well, I quess I'll have better luck next time...

Goingslow, timeless, thanks for your reply. I think I'll agree with your opinion. We have psychology at school, and I've noticed that I can understand some things related to class better, perhaps it is related to that dream. Perhaps with time I will regain some pieces of those lessons. Thanks for your help.

One more thing. If it is possible that I gained and stored this knowledge, than can I access it? Through astral projection perhaps? Or will this knowledge become usefull in time?

You think so? Well, there were some people I know, psychologists (I don't know if I spelled it right) who work in my school. But still, altough I don't know the topic of discussion something tells me it wasn't about standard psychological matters. But I think your theory could indeed be correct. Thanks for your reply and your time shadowatcher.

A good question... I would wish that my mother finds a better job, so that she doesn't have to work with that old crazy Italian, he's a real jerk. Yeah, that's what I would wish for.

I'm a gamer too. I am currently playing Morrowind, I like RPGs, advantures and strategies. Jedi Knight II was also good, but I'm not a big fan of FPS (unless I have to unleash my rage somewhere [:D]).

Hej, Veliki_Grizli, je li to ona tehnika o kojoj si mi pisao?

Ups!
Is that the technique you were writing me about, how much succes did you have with it? Sounds great though, I'll give it a go.

Thanks,
Pan

Hello, Nje789. I have same problems, just can't go where I want to make my projection usefull. I guess you'll gain more control with more experience. Perhaps level of control depends on some other factors. Who knows?

Wow, shadowatcher, that's one great technique! Really helps me to prepare for a projection.

Thanks! [:)]

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Kundalini
August 13, 2003, 11:59:30
Hello. Meditating, Reiki, healing, Yoga are certainly not "bad" for your mind or body. It is dangerous to rise Kundalini without preparation, because it can be deadly, and you can indeed go insane. But if you have prepared, worked with chakras, cleared blockages it can be a profound spiritual experience. I've read that with practicing Yoga Kundalini raisings occur, I believe that kind of raising is the most frequent, but I don't know for sure. Meditating, Reiki, Yoga... are great spiritual practices. There's no way to "go too fast for your body". Again, raising Kundalini without preparing yourself can have dire consequences; if kundalini reaches a blockade it will either return to its prior position or it will try to "break through", which will be manifested as physical and/or mental problems.

Hope this helps,
Pan

It's pretty obvious that the one who teaches your brother yoga isn't very well informed, but this is not suprising, there are a lot of people saying that they are teachers and doing or saying something no teacher would say or do. It's also possible that he doesn't have "fresh" information.

No matter what technique you choose, it is vital to reach the mind awake, body asleep state, and that means focussing inwards and away from the five physical senses.

Yes, Adrian, I am aware of this fact. I never said that hypnagogic state is important only for a single technique. And as for five physical senses, it's not good to generalize because someone(like myself) may pay attention to everything, including the physical senses because that works better for him/her. If I focus only inwards, vibrations weaken instead of opposite. But this is my experience and it doesn't apply to everyone, just like yours doesn't apply to myself.

I think the key to reach the hypnagogic state is concetration. If your ability to concentrate and be aware is high enough it is possible to focus your mind and to remain awake while your body falls asleep. I believe that the body wants to rest, and your mind will go with it unless you make an effort to remain conscious during sleep. Sometimes when my physical body is tired I get the best results.

Or is the reason for the "Monroe Condition D - loosing sensations of body and entering borderline sleep state from a relaxed and refreshed consciousness, usually in the morning or afternoon nap" mainly because at that time the conscious mind has a much easier chance of staying awake when the body falls asleep?

I agree. In the morning mind is refreshed and body is relaxed. Ideal conditions for a projection to occur. After a afternoon nap muscles are relaxed and it is easier to concentrate. However, like you said there is a very fine line between not falling asleep and trying too hard. It's pretty difficult to find the "golden middle" between trying too hard and falling asleep. But it's possible, with a bit of practice [:)] .

Greetings Graupel. I've had some success with a very similar technique. I was relaxing, and in the same time I was aware of the present moment, I was "in" the moment, noticing everything within (thoughts)and outside me. Just by combining relaxation with awareness and concetration I succeded in having an OBE. The hardest thing is to let go when the vibrations kick in, until i had enough experience lack of real concetration really ruined every attempt I made with this kind of technique.

I don't know any technique for catching yourself in the right Focus state, but relaxing until the dream images appear could do the trick.

Hi again Pencil. I'm sure that you'll overcome that fear, in most cases OBEs are actually very beautiful experiences. Don't be afraid of negs, they are not that dangerous, altough they can be scary. My advice is that you try to achieve more OBEs, who knows, maybe you're a natural! [;)] Remember, you can easily overcome fear with experience.

Take care

Hey Pencil, welcome to the forums. It's very probable that your experience was an OBE, and a very scary one indeed. The paralysis is the best proof.

Yup, I hope so too. If I ever get to the Master level, I'll never charge attunements and/or healings. It's true that Masters have right to earn money for living by charging their service, but Reiki is energy, and it should be available to everyone.

Well, a kind Reiki Master gave me the second degree for free, he said that I deserve to move on, no mather what. Strenght of my energy increased, and I can heal better than I could before. I just wanted to say thanks to Tom, for his support and advice. Thanks! [:D]
