Although I do get really scared in waking life I was feeling fear in that dream state. It was something I could not control. So maybe, the idea of frequencies rings true or it could be my unconscious being fearful.

I am ready to try it again but wanted to know if there is anything I should be doing to protect myself or my home? Is is true that lower entities will come if you are scared?

It looks like you have a natural ability to channel. Your anxiety may be linked to your close connection to the spiritual world. You are resisting to open the channels though and that may be increasing your anxiety. your story remind me of Theresa Caputo. She is a medium and has a show on TLC. If you haven't watched her shows, please do and read about her story how she had severe anxiety since childhood due to receiving messages from spirits but she was too frightened of this, so she resisted it. When she finally gave in and willingly opened herself to channel, her anxiety subsided. Don't be afraid of the spiritual world. I am not sure exactly what frightens you, but many experiences APers can assure you that we don't encounter scary things out there. It's just in your head. And if you have general fear of the unknown, then get to know the unknon and it will become known :), then the fear will have no ground anymore.

I think maybe I have watched one too many horror movies growing up and thinking about lower realms/energies really freaks me out.

wow! that's the quite the dream! I was not aware I was dreaming in my dream but when I awoke at 3:30am, I suspected just based on my feeling it was not really a dream.

I want to do other things such as astral travel and even communicate with spirit guides but my fear holds me back. In this life, sadly I am plagued with anxiety. I have health anxiety and I also have a great fear of the things unknown like the paranormal. It's very incapacitating.

I once decided to channel my husband's uncle who had passed before we met. Over a couple of days of trying, on the third day, a stainless steel spoon in my mug moved on its own, twice, 5 minutes apart. My husband and I were watching a movie at the time, I was not channeling. We cannot point out how this happened so I am led to believe that it was his uncle.

Throughout my life, I've had many premonitions appear to me in dreams and I have been the recipient of much supernatural phenomenon. I find most of it takes place in dreams as I would be crippled with fear if it appeared in waking life.

It stems back to my childhood when I would walk the halls with the clothes hanger in the middle of the night trying to get to the bathroom. I have always been very sensitive to energies.

Hello everyone,

Last week, an old acquaintance of mine got murdered. His death took me by storm even though I have not spoken to him in over 18 years.

I had a quite odd experience channeling once so I thought I would try and give out the message that I wanted to communicate with him. That night, around 3:30 in the morning, I sprung out of bed, heart racing and scared!

I had a dream that I was at his funeral (it had since passed, and I hadn't attended) and a lady, perhaps a grandmother, was describing her experience upon hearing the news of his death. Then, someone (I presume my spirit guide), tapped me on the shoulder and telepathically asked me, "have you seen him yet?", to which I replied, "no." Then, he/she took my body and turned it towards a random window in my house where I could see the silhouette of my friend who had passed. I did not see his face, only his shoulders. He was standing there outside my window.

As I said, I jumped up from the bed, and my heart was pounding. I grabbed my phone to see the time, and it was 3:31 am.

Do you think this was a visitation? A form of communication? Why was it filled with fear?

I stopped listening to it 10 months ago and since, I've developed a chronic condition called "a vestibular migraine". It's dizziness without a pounding headache. Wondering if my brain wave patterns were altered to the point where there is some misfiring int he brain.

It almost feels like seizure activity but it's not. It only happened after 3-4 months of doing this program every day. Do you know what I could do to perhaps, counteract the electricity or perhaps screwed up brainwaves?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Hem-sync and brain waves

Does anyone know if Hemi Sync can alter brain waves? I started to get weird headaches after doing the gateway program. I have also developed dizziness. It just feels like there is an abundance of electricity (which I can feel) running through my head.

Thank you for replying.

Well, I had really bad vertigo and doctors told me it was an inner ear issue due to lose crystals in the ear. But I still have an imbalance and now they can't find anything wrong. The only thing I can think of is I was playing around with brainwaves, like you say.

This actually makes sense to me and perhaps not fully protecting myself or even full returning to C1. I admit at times I would just shut the tapes off without returning back and maybe this has left an impact.

I haven't been doing anything since. I've had a lot of anxiety over my symptoms.

So, I recently have been battling dizziness and migraines and decided to have a reading with Mona Lisa Schultz an MD who also practices medical intuition.

I have had a lot of work-ups and have been ruled out. I had a chat with her and she said she sees antibodies and maybe an autoimmune problem. I can't believe I paid for this. I mean, it's just like guessing and throwing it out there. She said just because they can't pick it up, it's not there. Well, that's convenient, isn't it? For her.

She also described me very inaccurately and asked me if it made sense to me and if it didn't she would refund me right away. I told her who she described sounded more like my husband than me, and of course, she started on his personality.

She also asked me questions and when I told her the answers she would steer in that direction or go off topic. What do you all think about medical intuitive?

About 7 months ago, I was practicing Robert Monroe's Gateway series. I was trying to leave my body. I tried to go into the "ten state" every day. I don't remember leaving my body or having an astral projection but I may have hovered over my body. After this, I started getting dizzy spells and feeling strange.  My eyes also seemed weird, like it wasn't really me when I looked in the mirror and a large amount of brain fog.

I still feel dizzy today when I make sudden head movements. I have had every medical test and nothing can be found. Could this be a spiritual problem or perhaps not protecting myself when trying to do these exercises? Could this be being spiritually out of balance?

Hi everyone,

Lately, I have been into the quest for truth which includes everything from youtube videos on conspiracies like one-world Governments to reading experiences on journeys out of the body. As I mentioned in another thread also, I have been doing online courses with the Monroe Institute.

Firstly, I must say that the quest for truth has me extremely depressed. Finding out about microwave technology, for example, and its detrimental effects or the way the Government is structured to hurt us OR even that there is a hellish after -life reality for those of us with negative thinking patterns is extremely overwhelming.

I consider myself to be a very intuitive person who can read energy off of people. The way it works for me is by holding an object.  I then receive words about that object or the person who owns it. They almost feel like they are coming from the right side of my body. I have only ever read 10 people but have been over 95% accurate each time.

The other day, I was doing a "tools" exercise through Robert Monroe's Gateway exercise followed by a higher-self meditation. I do not recall ever having a projection experience but have had many lucid dreams and premonitions in the dream state. Anyways, I was doing a meditation when I felt like I was on a 90-degree angle but knew my body was lying straight. I became frightened and had an accelerated heartbeat but decided to ride with it. All of a sudden I saw my daughter with my third eye or my non-physical eye, in her playground at school. I thought that was weird. Then I saw myself, again through my third eye or non-physical eye soaring through a tunnel filled with smokey vibrant colours.

When I had awoken I was astonished to find I had been out for more than two hours. I felt very awake and alert the entire time and was consciously following the meditation. Also, I found two missed calls from my daughter's school on my phone. They were calling because she had misplaced her lunch.

So, I am puzzled as I believe her higher-self was speaking to me or did I astral project to her school?

Does anyone else feel stressed out when they start delving into these things? I feel all over the place...almost adrift from reality.

Thank you all for your responses. On knowing future events, it has been my experience that this is possible. When I was ten years old, I had a dream of my mother and I living in a house in the middle of a field of snow. I looked out the window, and what can be described as an angel or spirit guide whom I did not see but knew was present, telepathically advised me of my grandfather's death in the proceeding three days.

This dream occurred on Sunday, and I was informed of his death on Wednesday. Other similar events after took place in my life through lucid dreaming. This was also spontaneous lucid dreaming and still happens to this day.

I can resonate with it being difficult to get your target. Your mind takes you in other directions. I was looking at a "target" before bed which was a picture of a sacred temple in Thailand which I wished to visit. I set my intention on this objective but instead, had a dream I was a business coach speaking in a room full of business people. Not sure what my supermind was trying to show me or direct me.

Robert Monroe also spoke about different locale states. Would you agree that we can focus on going into the future? A relative of mine was diagnosed with a 6.7cm mass. However, the biopsy is still awaiting testing. In this stage, Tom Campbell would argue that intent can change probability..is it possible to see the future or outcome?

Recently, I have also expanded my clairvoyance. I have begun to obtain messages about objects belonging to people from outside of my body. In other words, I can read energy and I have been 95% accurate.

Hi everyone,

I have watched Tom Campbell's youtube videos and have read his BIG TOE, but only book 1. I am also reading Journeys out of the Body by Robert Monroe at the moment and have a question about traveling.

Robert Monroe seemed to know the future quite a bit because he was able to project into the future..how do we do this? Can we influence events by remote viewing or leaving our bodies...

Can we travel to a vacation resort to experience peace and tranquility, for example?

Thank you.

Is there a way to speak with entities or guides? Is it just a matter of calling on them?

As anyone had any profound lucid dreams after listening to the Gateway cd's? I tried Focus 12 yesterday and the dreams I had last night were unreal and extremely lucid. My fear stops me from leaving my body, however. I am too scared of what's on the other side. Any tips to help get past this?

Hi all,

I was wondering if you guys can shed some light on this situation. A little background. Before I got pregnant with my daughter, I was meditating heavily. I actually read somewhere that meditating prior to pregnancy can attract a satvic soul, which the Hindu's believe is a very enlightened one. Anyways, before I even knew I was pregnant, I had a dream of this beautiful little baby being placed in my arms, bundled up tightly, looking up at me. I didn't think much of the dream until I found out I was pregnant, which was also a very rare occurrence since the factors surrounding conception almost made it seem impossible.

During my pregnancy, before I even knew I was having a girl, I had many dreams of a female child so I wasn't surprised when I gave birth to her. Like many other moms out there, I felt very connected to my unborn child. I noticed, however, on three different occasions, that random things to seem to move in my house. First it started with baby toys going off, which I didn't sum up to much because these things happen often. The second major event that happened was a night me and my husband decided to put my daughter in her crib (she usually sleeps in my bed) and watch a movie downstairs. I had been drinking a tea in a mug and I also had a stainless steel spoon in my cup. When I was finished drinking it, I  put it on the ledge above my couch. Within 5 minutes, the spoon moved and made a "ching" sound. My husband and I both looked at each other and realized this was weird but then continued watching the movie. Within another 5 minutes, the "ching" sound returned. I was a little freaked out by this.  The previous owner of my house passed away in my house during breakfast and so I immediately thought my house was haunted. But something inside me really didn't and still doesn't believe this is his energy.

The third incident was just the other night and is the reason why I am writing this post. We had purchased my daughter a big girl bed to transition her to sleeping on her own. The first night went great as she slept through the entire night. The second night, well, was a little odd. Earlier that day, my daughter and I were playing with a tea set that my mother-in-law at purchased her. It came in a straw hutch and the tea cups were porcelain. Oddly enough, I never play tea cups with my daughter because they are very delicate. That day, however, I had decided to play with her. I got all into it with the English accent and we were really having a good time. The hutch was placed back on the dresser where it usually is placed. The hutch usually remains open, with plates on the top and the cups on the bottom. The cups are heavy enough to keep the thing from tipping over and if it is going to tip over, it will do it right away. Anyways, the hutch remained there for the rest of the day, while I was putting to her sleep and through most of the night until something very weird happened. My daughter woke me up at 2:30 in the morning by calling my name. I went into her room and laid down with her until she fell back asleep. When she did, I tucked her in and went back to my room. As I started drifting off, I heard a rocking sound like 5 times then a crash. I immediately thought she was trying to get off the bed and had fallen so I ran into her room. When I got there, she was eerily sleeping. The hutch had fallen over with the tea cups out of place. The noise hadn't waked her either.

I am really trying to figure this one out and I do realize it may very well remain a mystery. I have read Tom Campbell's work and OBE's with Robert Monroe. I just can't explain this one. We are not negative people and therefore, I don't believe we would attract a negative or low vibrational entity. I had a medium come who told me she didn't feel anything negative.  I did have a porcelain figuring beside the hutch that was second- hand from my mother in law's friend who was going through a break-up and I didn't cleanse it before I placed it in her room, but I really don't believe it was that's figurine's energy.

Also, before all of this happened, I read the book called "Open to Channel" and tried to do it  once, but I really don't think I brought something in because I am a positive person.

What are your thoughts? Could it be in, fact my daughter, as we had just been playing tea cups that day.

That names perfect sense to me about being a different person when you astral project in the sense that your true inner being shines through and you may not necessarily be scared of things in the astral realm that you would be scared of here. When I have nightmare or lucid dreams, I am not scared at all. Most of the "fear" I developed here is all surfaced.

I totally agree about us creating our own hell but now I have another question. Tom talks about the future in statistical probability. Now how can we say, for example, that people walking down the street on our way home have anything to do with intent or statistics. Their notice is totally random. Can someone explain this?
#19
So your saying that the type of fear is not at all like the fear we experience watching hollywood movies of ghosts and demons but rather another type of scare?
#20
I have a question about fear. When you are in an OBE do you experience fear as you would here in the physical reality with the physical sensation? Those fears you describe are exactly my fears. I have watched one too many horror movies and am petrified that I may manifest some of them in an OBE. What would the fear feel like and how do I overcome it?
#21
See that is where I am confused. Hollywood fear may seem real in this physical reality but in the larger scheme it is not our true fear. Also, with respect to OBE, does it feel like you are dreaming? or that you are like you are in your physical reality?

I had an experience here where there was a spoon moving in my cup, a very paranormal experience. Campbell explains this as the larger consciousness system trying to get your attention.
#22
Hi.

He did say "within seconds". I guess that scared me because i have fears like ghosts, etc. (maybe watching too many horror movies) so would those things come up? or could you move past them easily.

I have never had an OBE although I would like to have one. Is it like you a dreaming, meaning you know what's happening but you don't have the physical side to it like you don't feel fear when you are sleeping (if that makes sense).
#23
I had some more questions about some of Tom Campbell's theories. So basically if I am not mistaken when we die or are out of the body our fears will immediately manifest themselves and if we have a lot of fear than being in the larger consciousness system is not a good place to be. My question is, we all have fear and having fear is part of being human. Is he saying that we will essentially create our own hell after we die if we do not recognize that we are creating our own projections?

Also, what about if we have done things in this life that we regret or that are deemed "sins", like lying, cheating, having an abortion. What about those issues? How are they addressed in the after life? All religions/belief systems have their theory on that including heaven, hell and purgatory (for all the catholics) but what about Campbell's theory?

And also, according to Campbell's theories, why are we here?

#24
See that is my exact thought. I let my fear get the best of me though. And I wonder in what direction to go with that experience?
#25
So Tom used the example of going to the doctor with a lump on your neck. He said when the lump is first discovered, there is a fair amount of uncertainty about what the lump could be. Then, let's say, you go to a pessimistic doctor who says he has seen a lump like that before and it is most-likely cancer. Now all of a sudden that uncertainty becomes more certain its cancer. Therefore, it is probabilistic that the lump will be cancerous.

So basically if we intend the future to be a certain way it will based on our intentions? Is that correct based on Tom's theories?

I will tell you a story that maybe you can relate back to Campbell's theory and tell me how it fits in. I do believe in the paranormal because I have had certain things happen to me that are not normal like predictive dreams, etc. However, this one is quite peculiar. I was starting to get into the phenomena of channelling after a friend of mine gave me a book called "Open to Channel". I would practice some of the activities in the book, trying to specifically get  into contact with the consciousness of a deceased relative. A few days had passed since my last session, when my husband and I were on the couch watching television. I took a sip of my tea and put my cup down. Not 5 minutes had passed when the stainless steel spoon in my glass started to move. It made a "ching" sound. My husband and I looked at each other acknowledging that something wasn't quite right but we continued to watch television. Another 5 minutes had passed and the same thing happened again.

All freaked out, I consulted various sources, who advised that if it was an entity to clear the energy with sage and ask the entity to leave. Nothing like that ever happened again. Now, did it not happen again because that was my intention for the future or because there was an entity? And was their an entity? Or was that my own energy?
