sounds to me like you have a mental block about lucid dreaming. the fact that you question reality, then try and convince yourself that its not a dream, indicates to me that for whatever reason there is a part of you that doesn't want to LD. have you ever said to yourself during the day, this is so real it cant be a dream. of course not. your subconscience mind knows the difference, you just have to find out why it wont let it through.

Saints, the author is not talking about physically changinig thier car. they are being given a newer one, presumally influenced by the visualization of the author.

Welcome to Dreams! / Dream Powers #1

If your talking about sharing a dream with someone, then yes it is possible. I've done it through a lucid dream state. The problem is you have to be in a lucid dream at the same time as the other person. Then you have to seek the other person out. If only one person is in the lucid state, they may make contact but the other person will probably not remember. Its difficult enough to have dreams at the smae time, to both be lucid takes planning and practice.

If we lived in a world where everyone ate properly, foods weren't filled with pesticides, our homes weren't filled with different toxins, the air was clean ect. then no we probably would not. But, since we do there are times when the body needs help. Granted these days we rely almost entirely on medicen and our immune systems suffer for it.

Also using the mantra 'RAOM GAOM' works very well for me. Use it when you first wake up,
preferrably before you move. Stretch it out when you say it.
ex.- rraa--oomm  ggaa--oomm. I have no idea why it works, but for me it does.

Welcome to Dreams! / Every 30 minuets

the key is to really question reality. I had a problem with just going through the motions
of doing reality chaecks without truly questioning whether I was awake or dreaming.
I discovered this while reveiwing a dream and discovering I had done a reality check
while dreaming and just assumed that I was awake. After I truly began questioning reality
I began having lucid dreams much more often.

Welcome to Dreams! / My first lucid dream?
October 25, 2003, 11:13:49
Just because your aware that your dreaming does not mean yu will have total control
over yur dream. Nor should you want total control, imo. Some of my best/meaningful dreams
are when I just go with the flow and see what my sub-conscience is trying to tell me.

Also its been my experiance that if you do try to dominate/control your dream characters they
will not like it and can get very angry. They will comply, but a little tact goes a long way.

Welcome to Dreams! / How to LD?
October 25, 2003, 11:03:13
This assumes that you are already remembering/recording at least 2-3 dreams a night.
If not, then when you do achieve the lucid state there is a good chance you
wont remember when you wake up.

Welcome to Dreams! / How to LD?
October 25, 2003, 11:00:05
Your dreaming self mimics your waking self. If you never question reality
during the day, yu will probably never question it at night. At various
times during the day, ask yourself if this is real or if its a dream.
Then prove to yourself whether our dreaming or not. If you wear a digital watch
then this will be easy. Printed material in the dreamworld has a hard time
staying together. Check the time, look away, recheck the time. If it changes your dreaming,
if not then your probably awake. This like everything takes practice, but after
a couple of weeks it should become habit and you will start dreaming lucidly.

Welcome to Dreams! / Novadreamer alternatives
October 25, 2003, 10:48:19
the whole point is to detect rem sleep. while the novadreamer is pricey,
i have found it to be very effective. the only downside for me was learning to sleep with it on
(its not the most comfortable sleep mask). i dont use mine anymore because
1. I am past that stage, now I ld fine on my own 2.my son was curious as to what was inside,
so even if I wanted to use it, its ooc. for the begginer who can afford it,
its a wonderful aid. just remember to treat these type of aids as training wheels.

i've always seen a white aura around eople, until yesterday. two people had a light blue aura around their heads. any idea what it means?

its been my experiance that an orgasm in the astral is not physical, but more emotional/mental. if your young with overactive hormones this may be different; however, trying to 'protect' yourself would be, if not impossible, very distracting.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / NEW !!!
June 09, 2003, 09:41:06
the best place to start is with robert bruce's book astral dynamics. this is by far the most comprehensive book on the subject that i have read. as a plus everything that i have tried from this book works as advertised.

the best book ive read is quantum-touch by richard gorden. if you are familier with NEW than this book will make perfect sense to you. i have been using the techniques for awhile with good success. the book by barbara (i have it and have read it)in my opinion can be summed up as contact your spirit guide and follow their direction. maybe you will be able to relate, but i found it to be a waste of money. hope this helps.

even in the real time zone our thoughts tend to interact with what we percieve as real.  so it may very well have been real. but i agree with nay-- who cares, enjoy the ride.

its not like swimming after eating. many times i run energy while i am walking. i've never tried it while jogging but im sure if you can keep your concentration i dont see why it would not be possible. this probably is not something you can do right away, but with practice it should be possible.

for me it doesnt really matter if its real or if its all in my mind. either way it is a very enriching experiance. i've shared some of my experiances with a couple of friends, and they at first thought i was crazy, but after awhile they realized i was serious and wanted to know more. the reality queston came up and i  told them whether or not all this was 'real' was a question they would have to answer for themselves. its almost like discussing religion, one mans fact is another mans fiction.

i totally agree, the brain method is very effective. it was one of the first methods i ever had any succes with. altough it can be a bit disturbing if your not ready/expecting the sensations it causes.
#22
after i do my relaxation exercises i begin to run energy(i use NEW). after 5-10 minutes of full body sweeps i run a couple of sweeps through the major chakras. by this point my whole body will be humming. the time it takes varies from day to day but with practice it gets easier to achieve.

i dont think its a bad idea at all. anything you can do to help in the begining is a good idea. the most important thing to do (in my opinion) is to record what you remember in a dream journal. its been my experiance that the more attention you pay to your dreams the more you will remember them, the clearer and more realistic they will be. if after a couple of months you find you cant recall a single dream on the nights you dont play the music, then i would start to be concerned.  hope this helps-

i've read just about all of his books. in fact his books are what got me interested in all this metaphysical stuff. i only believe a small percentage of what he writes, but they are a very good read. i highly recommend reading them.

there is a magician who has had a couple of specials on fox who has done the closest thing to levitation i have seen. i forget his name, but he does all his tricks on the street, so there is no chance for harness or pulley system. he actually rises a couple of inches off the ground. whether or not its real levitation or a magic trick, i dont know. but it looks really cool.
