When I was first starting, I heard different kinds of strange sounds just in one ear right before I projected.  You must be close!

Lowered mind activity (relaxed mind) is good. -Just not so relaxed that you fall asleep.  Do you ever just take a little break from busy life by 'zoning out'  - you stare into space and let your eyes blur - your mind completely relaxes - your jaw goes slack - someone comes over to you and waves their hand in front of your face and asks if there's anybody home?  That feeling of your mind completely relaxing is what you're going for.  Sleepiness is generally not a good thing, but having said that, you can use it as a tool to achieve the mind awake, BODY ASLEEP state quicker.  Just let yourself come close to sleep (but not too close!) then wake yourself up again by refocusing a little.  Then do that again...and your body will relax and 'fall asleep' quicker. It's useful if you want to project before bed (as opposed to waking from sleep) and your body isn't relaxed yet. You don't have to wait around forever in order to achieve the correct state. - 10 or 15 min. should do it.   Good luck.  You're doing well!  :)

I day dream rarely now. When I was younger or at school I would space out more often. When I actually did day dream yeasterday the light flickered when I blinked and I heard the radio making the buzzing sound. Might just be my imagination tho.

I try at night. However nothing really actually happens in an hour or I lower my mind activity and fall asleep. :/

sigh. still no success. Should I keep my mind active withouth any thoughts or should I lower the activity of my mind. The lowered mind activity actually makes me fall asleep. In my last 2 tries I heard this..hmm how to describe it..this very light sound as when the laptops ventilator runs as slow as possible but I only hear it in one of my ears.

Why would you stand close to such beings and even "attack" it? Could you show me a picture or explain the form of the earth pentagram please?

I will keep trying. Thanks everyone for your advice. I will let you know if I have any success.

Just assume it is a symptom and try to ap.    It will not do any harm.   Give it time as the first few times we can muck it up.   It sounds like you are close.

Yap. I tried to deepen the feeling. Just every single time I achieve this, something in my room cracks and I dont get scared but I twitch and the state just vanishes.

View you body as a chunk of Swiss cheese with holes all through it. Then ALLOW the sounds to go right through you. Meditation in general teaches you how to not necessarily shut these sounds off, but to just watch them go by. Just as it teaches you to ALLOW  your thoughts to flow. But not to get caught up in them. When you begin to do this, you will find that they aren't an issue anymore. Practice will help you greatly with this.

You also always have the option of using a Blindfold for the light and ear plugs or Headphones to quiet the sounds around you during daytime attempts.

I just tried to project. After a while and a slight black out I felt my left hand in a weird position. Guess its nothing releated to astral projection because it didnt feel floaty or anything. It just felt kind of distorted.

Try holding your breath and observing what that does for your surface thoughts?  :)

When I hold my breath I stop thinking completely. The problem is..I cant hold my breath for 10 minutes or so to achieve the vibrations :P

For me if I get the vibrations, it feels as though its my head vibrating more than anything else, its usually accompanied by a buzzing sound sometimes quiet and sometimes extremely loud, sometimes the vibrations have felt so strong that it feels as though my teeth are chattering :)

What method are you using? As a novice I have most success from sleeping for around 5 hours, getting up (you should be in that really tired state where you really don't want to get up but force yourself to) stay up for about 15mins and then go back to bed.
Usually I fall asleep for a few mins and then regain my awareness which is when the vibes start.

Hope that helps

I try to listen to the pitch in my ears. Or try to visualize blue sheep and not think about anything just seeing a blue sheep. I would like to try that low sleep method but I am too lazy to wake up in the morning. I might try today. How do you regain your awereness? DOnt you just continue to sleep?

Sigh...it is really hard for me to try during the day. All those distractions and noises... I can manage to silence the conversations in my head but trying to silence songs is really hard for me. And also I think that my breathing is disturbing me which is really odd because I breathe silently but I suppose my mind makes this Uuuh ahhh sounds when i inhale and exhale. And I read its difficult to try  at night.

When you find yourself somewhere other than where you expect to be... you're projecting. :)

So If I dont get vibrations nor the floaty feeling do I think of for example being close to sun or looking on earth from space and my vision will activate?

Just an FYI...
You don't *EVER* need to experience the vibrations in order to project.
It's simply not a requirement.

I know but how do I know I am ready to project then?

I feel jealous a little of your guys. You get vibrations easily. I tried to follow the instructions on the video provided but the red dot from the flame just fades out and disappears. :/ Mhmh :/

Thanks Lion. Will try it out. His descriptions of what I might see kind of freaked me out. And I was over the being afraid stuff.

I try to astral project but I have never really felt real vibrations. I only get tingling and the pins and needles sensation in my legs but I think that is just because me not moving and the blood having difficulty to reach some places. I can feel my body getting pretty heavy and stuff and my hands feel in a pretty different space twisted or or above or below my body. How do I get this vibrations? I pretty much lay down relax listen to the pitch in my ears not thinking. But no vibrations at all. Sometimes I get this feeling as if I was rotating horizontaly counter clockwise. I tried to ask for help from my angel or astral guide but that wont really help until I get the vibrations and I am ready to separate will it? Anyone has some times?

That did not help much DD:

Hi there!

I have been trying to accomplish astral projection for 3 weeks. For those past weeks I had one experience. I was relaxing trying to make my body sleep while my mind was awake. I fell asleep for 2 seconds and when I woke up I felt my legs going up in the air and felt pressure on my chest. Since it was my first time I felt something like this I got scared and it vanished feeling my legs going back down.

Another experience. I was sick and I went to bed. After a while I found myself in a really dark room. I thought "hey I can try to astral project" so I tried.  Each time I tried to kick my astral body out of my physical (had to somewhat will it) i started to feel really nauseous. I could not achieve it as the feeling was too intense and I did not have the strenght to separate.

These are the first two. After that I have not tried since.

Two days ago I woke up at 6 am. (I wake up around 6 +- 5 mins sometimes) I looked at the phone to check what time it is and thought meh I am going back to sleep. This is what happened next. I was laying on my back and closed my eyes. In that moment I felt my body floating up in a horizontal direction and then my body moved in vertical position as if I was standing. It was pitch black at first but then I started to see as if the light was turned on. However I saw a white face in front of me and I freaked out. I was half conscious so I did not think of calling my angel for help or something like that. I just freaked out and opened my physical eyes and then it was over. I rolled on my side and went back to sleep (as I was too tired).

What do you think? Is my last experince a real experience or was it just a dream? I dont recall having the floaty feeling in my sleep ever. It was wweird a really vivid. What do you think the white face in front of me was?

Thank you!
