Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Using Tools
August 14, 2014, 21:59:54
Hey all!

So about a month or so ago I was reading about someone who wanted to know if they should purchase a device that was said to help people Astral Project easier. I thought to myself, can't we "create" these tools ourselves? For example, if I were to choose a personal object of mine, such as the small statuette I bought on a trip of a bird, could I theoretically use this object to AP? If I were to theoretically pour my intent and faith into this object, that focusing on it would allow me to AP,...couldn't it help? Almost like a magic spell that you make up in your head. A few months ago, I can't remember when exactly, I started telling myself at night that I'd have good dreams and since then I haven't had a single nightmare. Is it possible to train the mind into thinking that an object can help us achieve AP, and therefore actually trigger an AP? Just a random thought.

Thanks!

No the binaural beats as used for astral projection practice are safe..

However, blood in the urine needs to be addressed by your doctor

That's good news, thank you. And yes, I have an appointment in an hour.

Nothing you read here should be construed as medical advice.

Blood in the urine is pretty freaky when it happens to you (it did for me!) but yes, it can be directly related to a viral infection/urinary infection.

That's about all that can be said here. Please refer any and all concerns to a medical professional.

Okay. Thank you for the speedy response.

Hello everyone. Earlier I made a post about an experience I had with binaural beats earlier today. I'm 99% sure that it's unrelated, but I felt the need to ask. Long story short, I've had a virus recently and an hour ago my urine turned red and filled with blood. My doctor on call believes that it's just that my virus has spread to my kidneys/bladder. I'm having an ultrasound and blood tests done tomorrow morning. My question is, the binaural beats could not have caused this damage, correct? I'm sure it's a preexisting issue or something as a result from the virus, but I felt the need to ask. Is it important to bring up the use of beats with my doctor?

Thank you very much. I hope this is nothing serious.

Hey, you gotta be cool with those binaurals, they do have the ability to be pretty damn intense. I'd suggest that whenever you use them that you're not extremely fatigued, starving, or overly anxious/stimulated. Just lay on a flat and sturdy surface, relax deeply, and remain indifferent to any experience that arises as a result of the sound waves.

Alright. I've been sick lately so maybe it took a toll on me. Thanks for the advice.

Hello everyone! I just had a very wacky experience that makes me not so inclined to attempt to have an experience again.

I haven't attempted to project in a few weeks, and I thought that I should give it another shot today. I plugged in my headphones and began listening to the one hour binaural beats soundtrack that I usually listen to. I began my meditation and relaxation exercises at 1:24 pm. I know this because I always make note of when I start and end. I performed a very simple relaxation technique that involves tightening and relaxing the limbs while passing a ball of energy and light throughout the body. At about twelve minutes in, I got vibrations and visual hallucinations such as colors and repeating images, as I usually do. And then, everything after I do not remember.

What I DO remember....is "Waking up" in my bed with the beats sounding very loud in my ears. I was sweating, felt feverish, and was very very dizzy. I don't recall waking up, but rather the minutes AFTER waking up. It's very blurry looking back on it. I took of the headphones, and for some reason, I can't quite remember why, but I put them back on for a second. The sound continued coming from the headphones. Seemingly disturbed by this, I remember putting them back down. It was then when I really gained lucidity. I looked at the clock. 3:05. I thought to myself, oh I just fell asleep. Well, I realized, it wouldn't have been possible for the beats to still have been playing. Upon regaining lucidity I felt very off balance and nauseous.

I rushed downstairs to the bathroom, and after feeling better, I realized I was alone in the house. On my laptop was a note that said that my mother and brother had gone to the pool. Now, knowing my mother she probably came into my room and tried to wake me up to let me know that she was going. She always does. I'll have to ask her if she tried before she left when she gets back.

I'm very shook up, quite confused, and not feeling well at all. What the hell just happened?

I believe that giving someone a push or some help ocassionaly is just fine. You can't experience something for someone else, so it's not robbing them of an experience to help them achieve one. But that's just my own opinion.

It has nothing to do with your pineal gland.

All 5 of your physical senses are ALWAYS processing something.
You're always tasting something, even if it's just the inside of your mouth.
You're always feeling something, even if it's just the warm air around you.
You're always smelling something, even if it's just an extremely neutral, non-smelly smell.
You're always seeing something, even when you're eyes are closed.
AND... you're always HEARING something, even when it's completely quiet, you're hearing the sound of "no-sound".

That's what you're hearing.

Remember that your senses don't "stop" doing what they do just because you're not paying attention to them.  You can, however, "ignore" those 5 physical senses... this is, essentially, how we project.  ;)

Ah okay! Thank you for clarifying. To clarify further, do you think focusing on the rumbling would help me project in any way?

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Rumbling
July 18, 2014, 11:54:37
Hello everyone!

So I have read and noticed that when I try to have an astral projection experience or meditate, that I hear a rumbling sound. This sound has been compared, and is the same rumbling sound, as the one we hear when we yawn if I am correct. I also believe it has something to do with the pineal gland(?). I've also found that I can make the rumbling occur by closing my eyes and focusing on the region in the center of my head between my temples. Could this aid me in any way? for AP?

Edit: when I say I can make it happen, I don't just mean through meditation. I can do this at free will at any time.

As a single word, I assume you heard it sounding authoritarian.
It's aimed as a command for you to do to yourself.

Another way of explaining the authoritarianism.
You're back at school and the bossy headmaster walks in, he says in a firm voice "sit".
This is a one word comment aimed at each and everyone in the room. You do as asked, the authority in the voice commands you to do as asked.

If this is how it sounded, you are capable of much more than you are doing at the present.
Exalt, rise above the rank you're at. Stop playing the same game, you are ready to go further.

While meditating, ask to be shown what you need to do.
You may recieve a challenge.

Hello. I know this is not my topic but I've had a similar experience and didn't feel the need to create another separate topic. About once a month in various places I hear a harsh whisper in one of my ears saying "No". It feels as if whoever is saying it is right next to my ear. The hairs on my neck always stand up. I'm never doing anything like making a tough decision that requires some thought when this occurs. One time it occurred when I was on a swing, and another time when I was sitting at my desk. What could this be?

Good morning everyone! I made a post a little while ago about how I believe that there is/are prescence(s) in my home. Well last night I was having some very strange feelings. My room happens to be the room with the most activity(yay me). The attic is located above my room, and last night I could very clearly hear children running around and playing last night. I've been watching American Horror Story, so I disregarded this as hallucinations and went to bed.

When I woke up, I went downstairs and got ready for work. My mom came downstairs and said she was tormented by nightmares last night. She told me bits and pieces. She said that she saw children running around the house and she and I chased them. My mother then heard them running around in the attic. She went up and saw them playing, as she described, "bloody games". She said they were covered in blood and didn't want to talk more about the subject.

Part of what also scared me was that when she came down from the attic and then back into my room, she saw red marks on the walls of some language similar to hieroglyphics. And there was a large black cave entrance where my crawl space usually is. This scared me because I had that exact dream of my room about a year ago.

Hm. What could these mean?

What is exactly the reason why some people cannot wake up anymore from sleep and just die ?
My dad's friend died from a sleep and I asked what is the reason the family member told my dad
that it is because of a so called " Fatal Nightmare " in our country many believes in this superstitious belief
that if you sleep while you're full you will likely to experience this " fatal nightmare " i also read that if you AP when you're
angry , sad , etc or have some emotional problems you will be going to a " PHANTASMAGORIC PLANE " will where highly negative entities may try to grab your astral body and do not let him get away, is this the reason why someone cannot wake up anymore and just die?

May i hear your comments regarding this guys ? I want to know more , i want to learn mo so please help me understand  :-)
i know AP is safe  :-D but im just curious about this issue .

I've never heard of either of these. I sure hope neither is real.

Supply more details and an interpreted result will be more accurate.
Your mums feelings as things develop ( happy scared...) and the correct order.
At present there are quite a few options with the info given.

If it's personal you can PM me.

Well it's her dream so it's a bit hard for me to know all of the details. She describes it as a nightmare though. She said she felt lonely and scared. Also-- if it helps, she said the whole dream gave her kind of Armageddon feelings. It felt like there was no one around at all except for the cat. She wakes up happy as she usually is, but begins to feel dread as she discovers that no one is around. I'm sure when she saw the cat she was terrified because that's the one detail of the nightmare that she stressed. She said the voice was almost robotic.

Well, you'll need to find out what all that symbolism means to her.  Nobody can really answer this for you/her.

Her childhood
Parents/siblings missing
Chimney
Black cat / Yellow / Six
"working working working"

That's the symbolism I could find in what you said.  She needs to identify within herself what those things mean.  Then put them together like a puzzle.

Ah. I see. Well I just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts :P. She hasn't been able to figure it out herself.

As a child, my mom had the same dream once every few weeks and now she only gets it once in awhile. I've tried to find interpretations but I haven't been able to find one. I know it doesn't matter, but I was curious to see what experts had to say about it. It's quite peculiar.

It's very brief. My mother wakes up in the house from her childhood. She looks for her parents and sisters but no one is at home. She steps outside to look for anyone but no one can be found. Suddenly she hears a sound. She looks at the chimney and out comes a black cat with yellow eyes that has six legs. It walks across the roof and as it does it is wobbling back and forth, three right feet and three left feet. As it does this, it says"working working working" over and over again. She then wakes up.

I find it very very intriguing. What do y'all think?

I have few questions for you. Define hallucination. What do you think hallucination is? Do you watch horror movies, or play videogames involving fighting? Do you have fears of ghosts, attacks?

A hallucination is when you see something occurr that did not actually happen in this physical reality whether it is a sound or image etc. I do watch a lot of horror movies, and I do play lots of violent games. (Typical teenage boy). I don't fear ghost attacks. I don't believe in possession unless you ask for it.

Hello everyone! I'm not quite sure if this is in the right section, but I felt that it would be appropriate to put this topic here. I have hinted at and spoken briefly about the "hypnagogic hallucinations" that I had for many years up until about two years ago. I wanted to talk a little bit about them, and hear your thoughts. I put hypnagogic hallucinations in quotes because it was merely a label that a therapist I used to see put on them, and it seemed to make sense. However, I'm not even quite sure if they really were hallucinations. I'll never know for sure, but I'd like to share.

Ever since I was very young, I've had almost every kind of sleep problem possible from sleep walking to night terrors to hallucinations/Sleep paralysis. They've grown a lot better in recent years, but about five years ago I began having very unique and very vivid hallucinations. The first experience was very memorable. It was a very stormy night, and my little brother was too afraid to sleep in his own room so we brought his mattress into my room for the night. I fell asleep quickly, and I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. When I sat up, I saw my brother standing outside of my closet and he was staring at me. He looked very gray, but then again, it was dark. I called out to him but he didn't answer. I turned on the lights and the image was gone, and he was actually still in bed. Now, THAT experience I am fairly sure is a hypnagogic one because it occurred directly after awakening.

Things changed very rapidly. First of all, that was the only time for the next three years until the hallucinations stopped that I would ever hallucinate someone that I had known or seen before. Everyone after the image of my brother was someone who I had NEVER ever seen before. People of all races, ages, gender etc. What they all shared in common was that they all were composed of shades of gray, and when they walked it almost was like watching a flipbook. Their image would shutter and flicker like a candle. It wasn't fluid. But the thing is, this wasn't always after waking up or going to bed. Sometimes it was during the day, but most of the time in a dark room. Sometimes they would try to speak to me, but I could not hear them. They would linger for quite a few minutes if I didn't run out of the room immediately. Sometimes even after I turned on my lights they would still be there, and they remained after I blinked several times or left the room and came back. This is why I somewhat doubt the whole hypnagogic hallucination ideas.

So anyway, after awhile the people in my room began to grow more sinister and would often be carrying a weapon or sharp object like a knife. That's when I went into therapy. Oh, I also had three sleep studies that were all inconclusive. The therapist couldn't really figure things out, but he taught me how to meditate which helped a bit. There was only one time where I ever heard one of them speak. I woke up one night to the feeling of being shook and a small girl saying "Wake up (my name), Wake up!". I looked around my room and saw nothing. I then lied back down and when I looked up there was a man with a mask and two daggers hanging from my ceiling. He dropped on me and I screamed until my parents came into my room and turned on the lights. Sometimes the people I saw were recurrent, and would come back once in awhile.

The funny thing is, my allergist out of all people recommended that I try taking Melatonin. After taking it regularly for a few months, I never had hallucinations again. I wonder if it was a placebo effect or not, but I don't mind not having these disturbances. What do you guys think?

Once you know and believe nothing will hurt you there, it won't!

I would say right now you have some "inner things" to deal with before your consciousness will ALLOW you to project. Work on that for now. Just meditate and talk to yourself.

Thanks lion. I'll meditate on it

Lol, I wouldn't call them tests. There are people around you all the time, even when you think you're alone sometimes. They just happen to be there.

How do you suggest not letting fear get in?

Yeah....  The freakiest thing that ever happened to me was on a very unintentional projection. I woke up out of body with a Being flying me around the four corners of my room with its hand clearly around my throat. But the funny thing was I don't remember being afraid, just annoyed and wondering what the heck was going on. It was very surprising. And I said ' will you just put me down? ' and I woke up instantly. Another time a Being was clearly beside me talking, and I was spooked and said leave me alone I want to sleep. And it went away instantly. Just be firm, polite and they should respond to your request.
I'm realizing there are tests...so many tests...

Okay! Thank you for the advice!

Hello everyone! Yet again, another post with more questions. I can hear you all now, "Go away!"  :-P

So my latest question stems from reading forum post after forum post to learn about others experiences out of curiosity. Well, as the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat. I've been reading more and more about these dark entities that appear when one first leaves the body due to either conscious or subconscious fear. Now, on the surface, I know that these beings cannot hurt me in any way whether they are creations of the mind or not, but I am concerned that my subconscious is still worried about this. I would, of course, rather not encounter anything after leaving my body for the first time.

What can I do, if anything, to prevent this kind of thing from happening? I'm not a negative person, so that should help. I've heard people talk about creating "barriers". How do you do that? Thanks.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: What's "Real"
July 09, 2014, 20:37:08
Quote from: Xanth on July 09, 2014, 19:45:07
Just remember... YOU ASKED!  ;)

First, we need to address the question, "What is real?", because to know what in your experience is real and what is not real is a bit stumbling block to get past.
Sadly, it's REALLY simple... what is real is whatever you can experience.  By it's very extension, there can not be something we call "not real".  If you can experience it, then that makes it real.

So then you might be asking if everything we can experience is real, then what are hallucinations if not something not real you're "seeing"?  Just because you see something that other people can not, doesn't mean it's not there.  It's there... you're seeing it.  That makes it real.

I have a fourth category for your list above... I'll just call it "my perspective".
My perspective is that EVERYTHING is a projection.  A dream is a projection; a lucid dream is a projection; an astral projection is a projection; this physical reality is a projection.  If your consciousness is experiencing something, then it's a projection... and if "real" is whatever you can experience, then everything is real.  Consciousness isn't split up into neat little categories... consciousness is consciousness.  Consciousness is everything.

That goes into your next question, "What is reality?"... I'm assuming you mean the reality this physical reality.
This physical reality is just one of an infinite number of, we'll just call them "astral realities".  It's no different than any reality you experience while you project elsewhere.  Nothing at all.
People visit "other" realities all the time... this forum is FULL of stories where people have visited realities numerous times, over and over again... these are "stable" realities.  This physical reality is such a reality.  It's a STABLE reality... why is it stable?  Why are ALL stable realities stable?  Because its creation and existence is being fueled by more than just your consciousness; because there are consciousnesses there constantly experiencing it.  This physical reality is stable because of the number of consciousnesses who are concurrently experiencing it.

To further explain my perspective as it relates to "projections", I wrote this article a while back about the labels:  http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2012/07/22/labeling-experiences-of-the-non-physical/

First I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful replies. I'm still at work, but I wanted to address one more of the many questions I have, and it relates to Xanth's comment. It's a fairly simple one. Does this mean that there are beings living in a sort of "parallel" state to ours, who exist in a physical dimension who probably wonder if we exist? If that question doesn't make sense I'll clarify. Like is it possible that there is a completely stable "Other Earth" type situation where someone is sitting down and wondering if we ourselves exist just as I am wondering if they do?

Don't take much for consideration of what the masses belief. Because in the distant past everyone but few people thought the earth was flat, because this is what their logic and physical perception. So, always go with your own instincts and keep a very open mind especially when comes to something that no science can prove because it is of non physical matter. Plus, it's not that most people do not believe in AP. They probably never thought about it, but every religious person beliefs in life after death. Well, this is the same. I think at this point there are more religious and spiritual people on earth than atheists. Just religion has limiting rules that involve demons, occult, AP, supernatural abilities, etc claiming to be the Satan's work, which to me is ridiculous, but that's my opinion.

Now, I have had countless validations which involve other people, so I will never think that AP just a product of our brain hallucinating, etc.

You have not experienced it, so you don't have a concrete opinion, but collecting data is helpful, just go with your instincts, because everyone forms certain expectations before any experience, and the first level we enter is highly influenced by your beliefs and expectations.

Do demons or anything else form temporary because of fear? Sure, energy is very playable, so your thoughts can mold energy and create whatever they think of, just like the artist makes a sculpture out of clay. So, some things are energy forms and shapes created temporary by our thoughts that react according to our beliefs. We are the puppeteers of those shapes, but many do not see the invisible strings.

Entities are independent consciousness, that reason, learn, grow, experience, etc. Places that are established by mass consciousness are pretty stable and it depends on the residents' needs,  believes, etc have many different looks. There are many frequency levels as well. For example I have experienced that the more love and positivity you carry, the more beautiful places you encounter and the less you feel like a personality. You start feeling one with everything and everyone. Those who have negative emotions, or destructive thoughts simply can  not observe higher frequency dimensions because their own frequency remains equal on their thoughts resonance.

Things are not so black and white when comes to astral experiences. You may get different answer from every single person on earth, because the experiences there strongly depend on where everyone's emotions, thoughts, beliefs, expectations, etc will take them. So, keep that in mind. And what I said above is based on my own experiences, because of how I think and in what I believe.

Wow! Thank you so much for your well thought out response. I can tell that you are very intelligent and I'm very grateful that you shared your thoughts. I especially liked your analogy about the old world model. The point you made is very true. Obviously everything is not black and white, otherwise we would all have much more concrete and similar experiences, and I would not be here asking others to sort-of share their definition of reality in terms of the physical and astral. I'm glad I was able to see things from a new perspective.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / What's "Real"
July 09, 2014, 00:31:00
Hello everyone! So the purpose of this thread is to create a discussion because I am eager to hear the opinions of others. Now, before those of you who like to comment things like "Don't judge off of others, have your own experience" comment that, I am letting those of you know that I understand that but I am looking to listen and learn from what others think. Since I have not experienced a conscious OBE or astral projection myself, I cannot help but have smalls shreds of doubt even though I truly believe in the validity of astral projection. From what I have read and observed, there seem to be three very different prevailing beliefs about AP.

The first of which, is the in my opinion a very narrow belief; astral projection is not possible and does not exist in any form. Sadly, if you venture past this forum, the vast majority of the population has completely disregarded the existence of astral projection. I'm going to assume that no active member of the forum follow this train of thought. Now, I have seen less extreme claims made by those who have experienced conscious OBEs and astral projections. Their claim is that they believe that everything we experience in the "Astral" is just an expansion upon a very vivid, lucid dream. I do not completely disregard this theory entirely. I know people have had validations while projecting, which uproots this theory, but in some ways it still makes SOME sense.

The second is more of a middle ground. There are those who have had astral experiences and recognize that there is more than just a waking reality. These people recognize that most of what they encounter in the non-physical are manifestations of our subconscious. For example, a perceived demon is simply a manifestation of fear, and not a "real entity". However, there are from what we have observed beings that exist outside of our own manifestations. Such as spirit guides (possibly?). It's a lot to wrap my brain around. I'm more of a middle ground believer.

The third are what I call extremists. Now, my intention is not to come off as offensive, and I really hope that I do not offend anyone. I've seen a lot of projectors who either strongly believe in projection and call it the work of the "Devil", and then there are those who believe in things like crystals etc. Now, I don't really know much about crystals and things like that, but to me it seems a bit far fetched. I can't really wrap my head around the idea of crystals that have energy. What are the origins? I don't want to sound dismissive, but I'm really just more curious. Back to the idea of "Satan" though. I've seen lots of people claim that those who try and promote astral projection are in fact possessed by demons. Well, I'm not a demon...so....

Anyway, the point of this thread if I have not made it clear already (I'm not wonderful at expressing my thoughts into typed words) is that I want to hear your opinions of what you believe is real, and what is reality. I'm somewhat split down the middle. I mostly believe that there is a non-physical that we enter when we sleep etc, but a small part of me also believes that what we experience is really just a part of the mind that we don't comprehend entirely. That what we experience in the non-physical are very elaborate figments of our subconscious. Of course, astral validations make that theory invalid, so I'm not sure. I look forward to reading your responses!
