Here are some questions:

1 Ok, I wanna know which trancetech is the absolutely easiest for beginners.

2 What's the best way to keep conscious when you're trancemeditating?

3 How fast do You fall into trance?

4 Do You keep "mind awake" when You're going to sleep at night to hit a trance, and how do You do?

Cheers from the cold forests of Sweden

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Self-hypnosis
December 27, 2003, 07:17:19
I would like everyone who knows a good technique for self-hypnosis to tell me all about it. The goal is of course deep, deep physical relaxation.
I would like a simple technique of tricking the mind to let go of all physical tensions whatsoever.
Maybe you, Hypnotist, who dwell in this forum, might know a suitable technique?

I just wonder what kind of meditation you mean when you say things like "when I was meditating" and such. Are you simply using Breath awareness or something similar, or are tou raising energy or something like that?

When I go into trance and tries to OBE using the rope-technique, my become aware of that my bloody eyes is tensed up. It's damned annoying and I don't know what to do because It's when Im concentrating that they become tensed. Concentrating or trying to look forward through my closed eyelids. A bit like this: [:(!]
Is there anyone out there as suffers the same irritating problem?
Please write how you got rid of it!

Well, now your just saying that you really tried to relax the facial mucsels and then it worked. It's as simple as that I don't know how the eyes feel when they are relaxed (closed). Now in this moment they fell very damned relaxed, but when I am closing the I don*t know what to do with 'em.
How do you do? Do you gaze upon the hole of the eyelid or do you simply just not think about them?

Greatful for (good) answers.

Hello everybody!

I just wanna ask if there's anyone who has actually learnt the hole thing from the beginning, without any kind of natural ability. With that I mean a person who before he started training never had experienced any kind of obe, and then learnt it. Acually succeded to achieve obe's.
It seems to me like everybody knows it from the beginning, so I've kinda lost my faith in the out of body-experience.

Very grateful for answers /Jonas

Meditation is not ONE thing, it is but a word used in many differnt ways, but the (to me) "real" meditation is either those techniques that calms the mind, or those as uses visualization to achive experiences like, for example, OBEs.

Most meditationtechniques that is used to calm the mind and slow down the bainactivity, uses CONSENTRATION. You need concentration to keep the mind blank. At first, when you practise meditation, your mind is crawling with thought, feelings and other trash that stops you from being calm and focust.

What makes different techniques different is the object for meditation(/consentration), and of course  the less important; the physical position your in.

It's said that mantric meditation is the easiest to learn and practise. At first you repeat a simple word or phrase (when you start you can do it aloud, and make it more and more silent, until it's just mental). Consentrate and repeat the mantra over and over. When other thoughts disturbs tou (that is EVERY other thought than the mantra), you simply return to the mantra and start repeating it again. Don't giv a damn if you think you're no good; everyone thinks that it's difficult in the beginning.

Here's a mantra to use: OM MANI PADME HUM.
Make googlesearch on it and you'll find soundsamples of how to say it correctly.

When you after training find that tou don't need the mantra to stay focust, then jast let it go.

Hello everybody.
I don't understand, which kind of meditation do you all use?
Is it like trancemed. or is it some "usual" kind of med. like breathing meditations or mantra/affirmationmaditation?

Myself I've been playing round with different meditationstyles, from zazen (zenbuddistic), to Yoga Nidra and mantra and affirmation. I also know TM (Trancendental Meditation). I don't practise it regularly though.
I haven't tried my limits for meditaion but I usually meditate from 10 to 30 minutes.

Then I ask you this; what meditation posture do advice? Perhaps the old fashion lotus-position (padmasana) or just lying down lying down (shavasana)?

I must thank you all.
I will try tonight and tomorrow.

Adrian- The zen style med. your meaning must be "zazen". I know cause I've practised it for some time, not now though. It is good if you ask me.

OK. I think I must have used the wrong words;
it is not to believe (=want to and think that the information is correct) that is the problem. It is quite a big step between believe something (have faith) to make it look resonable to you that it actually can happen to you in this actual moment. The mind *denies* all facts before it *knows* that they are tru. Before it has seen it itself.
I  do *know* that OBEs are a real phenomenom that can occure to me, as much as i know that Japan exists. I have been told that it exists but I have never experienced it.

Right.. So all you really need is faith. Now, that isn't easy either. From where would I get faith from? I have never seen or experienced anything *supernatural* or *paranormal*, so how can one get one's logical mind to believe in something that it has never experienced?

Well, of course. From where does the jews and christians get their faith? I don't know. I just can't understand someone can put their trust in something they don't KNOW.

My only actuall interest in this life is supernatural, paranormal, magical and that kind of things, so it would never occure (is it spelled that way?) to me to be sceptical ore so. I just find it hard to convince my mind to really believe in something int the *knowing*-kinda way.

Thanks for anwers /Jonas
