Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Question
February 19, 2009, 21:38:02
Since my first semi experience I have been trying almost nightly.

My question is I get to a point that I feel my eyelids or eyes fluttering or twitching.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Should I focus on ignoring it?
It is distracting.
Thanks.

I have been trying nightly since I did it this past week.
Been startled awake as I begin to doze off but no luck.

Grats on your success.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / I did it?
February 08, 2009, 14:30:56
I have been here lurking around the boards for a few days or so and thought I would post what happened last night.

First I have been having premonition dreams my whole life. Usually once or twice a year.
I don't know they are a premonition until something triggers the awareness.
Something like "Whoa, I had a dream about this".

Anyway, last night I was trying to OBE as I have insomnia.
I was lying in bed about 90 minutes or so having meditated some and relaxed.
I had some slight vibrations in the lower part of my body and had trouble believing that it happened.
I kept thinking over and over, don't fall asleep just relax.
A short time later I felt my whole body in vibrations.
I focused on staying awake and keeping calm.
My body felt like it was almost numb and I could feel a soft waveyness flow over me.
Sort of like I was floating in a pool.

I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn't open so I thought Open your eyes, see, look around.
I could see but my eyes were closed.
From the perspective it appeared I was about 6 inches above my physical body.

Right in front of my face was something that the best I could describe was a face with large bulging eyes.
My first thoughts were it looked resembled ET from the movie or robot Johny5 from some movie from years ago.
I stayed calm and focused on giving it love and kindness.
Then I felt like I popped back into my body.
I'd guess it lasted maybe 15 to 30 seconds.

I still have trouble believing it.

Shortly I fell into a lucid dream that felt so real I had to ask my wife this morning if she woke up and asked me why I was yelling, groaning, screaming in my sleep.
