I believe our ACTIONS create our reality.  For instance, anyone can envision winning the lottery, but you have to actually BUY that lottery ticket to even have a chance at winning.

I also believe that Thoughts are Real, but to an extent.  (For example, I think that the mind can heal the body.  Our thoughts are a lot more powerful than we realize, I think).

I worry a lot about this, although....

I'd like to think that everyone is automatically on their path from the moment they're conceived.  Only it's up to us exactly how we get there.  What's important are the lessons we learn while traveling along that path.  We may even have to backtrack a few times.  I've certainly felt lost a few times in my life.

I'm not even sure that we have a real "path" to follow in the first place. (Career/family/etc.)  Maybe we're just here on this crazy planet to do good for others and handle life's difficulties with as much grace as we can.  Maybe our actions toward others and the way we deal with what life throws at us are a lot more important.

I hope that makes sense.

That is so demented. I really hope those innocent little souls will have justice in the end. This kind of thing really bothers me. Animals really are no different than innocent little children unable to defend themselves.  And both exude unconditional love.

The pet store at my local mall mistreated their animals, too.  I called the SPCA on them.  After that, the store was taking better care of their animals.  But, sadly, a couple months later they were back to mistreating them again.  The shop was closed down not long after that, which really made me happy.  It proved to me that the SPCA does keep tabs on these people... even after they supposedly cleaned up their act.
