Sounds like a scam to me, I can't imagine paying for any of those. My bet is that the commonly available hemi-sync files and programs like BrainWave Generator combined with the right mindset can accomplish just as much as any of those pricey discs.

I always hesitate when there's a price tag like that and no way to know exactly what it is you're getting until you pay.

QuoteSleep paralysis is a common form of REM intrusion, which can cause a condition of temporary paralysis along with visual or auditory hallucinations immediately after waking up or before falling asleep due to an ill-timed disconnection between the brain and the body.

Ill-timed disconnection? They make it sound like it's some type of disorder. It's just the language they use, I think it gives people the wrong impression of what this stuff really is.

Well, despite the fact that we're way behind schedule with our cd, we got a couple mp3's up from our recording. Enjoy.

First of all, earlier in the night, I made a firm decision that I needed to change my reality. I realized it wasn't exactly working for me, and I needed to erase this one and start over. It felt almost as if I was saying goodbye, kind of a solemn period of time.

So I get home and I get ready to relax and fall into myself. I had tool playing, and at the time of my experience, it was during the song "Third Eye." In the beginning, there's a bill hicks quote that mentions all of matter being merely energy condensed and all of reality being an illusion, and we're the imagination of ourselves. Now I'd heard this many times, but this time it went straight to the center of my being.

It was at this point where I had the full on realization that reality is indeed an illusion. I started to feel all of reality dissolve into a kind of ocean of chaos. I wasn't prepared enough mentally for this, so I didn't get to connect to anything "above." Instead, I shocked myself out of it.

I literally felt my body and surroundings starting to dissipate and fade away. I felt the matter "un-condensing," if you will. I'm posting this here to see if anyone's had any type of similar experience, drug-induced or not (mine was not).

A kind of side-point I also want to make is that all it took was a conscious choice in order to receive this gift. I wanna put emphasis on the fact that before I made my decision, I had only been "wanting" for it to change. The way life works is that if you "want" something, the reality that will create is exactly that, you wanting something (meaning you can't have it). If you instead know that you can get anything you choose to have, simply choose that experience for yourself. It takes a little getting used to, but obviously is well worth the effort.

So the spark for this was my choice. Since time is part of the illusion, I had already begun "preparing" for all this earlier. I had lately been listening to a lot more of Maynard's two bands, and seeing everything at a whole new level (beautiful). So at that, listening to a certain album made me want to listen to it while falling asleep. So it ended up slipping my mind and I left it in my car. So, improvising, I just threw all the tool songs on my computer and plugged my headphones into it. I worked out the playlist order a bit and laid down. Somehow, without really thinking about it, I set up an order of songs that for me, completely relaxed my body without any effort, and played that short clip at just the right moment. The remaining songs helped me think about it a lot and embed it into my thought system.

Not a great example, but if you start looking at your life this way, you'll start to see all the crazy "coincedences" that lead you to exactly what you create for yourself (consciously or not).

So respond with any question, comment, or a similar experience.

Welcome to Dreams! / WILD help
December 28, 2003, 20:10:03
Alright, so lately I've been getting very close to either projection or having a WILD. I've made a few posts about helping me with projecting, but I havent gotten responses, so I'll try this. I can get a good mind awake/body asleep state going, and I get really vivid imagery and such. The "entering into the dream scene" part is what gets me. I can only get it so far, until I realize I have a physical body and I get zapped back in. Is there a trick to going in? I think I might be thinking too much, but when I let go of concentration, I lose control. What do YOU think?

I was just practicin again for projection. I think I came up with an effective method (even tohugh I didnt project, I got interrupted). I find that getting a spinning/rotating sensation is fairly easy for me. I imagine that I'm rotating as if I'm lying on a big board spinning laterally. Once I get that movement going, I imagine a point rotating around on the outside of whatever I'm roating on. This point goes past the speed I'm rotating, and passes through my point of consciousness, and attempts to carry it with it. If that makes sense, give it a try if you want, and let me know what happens. Also if there're similar methods to this that someone knows, I'd be glad to hear about them.

I've been getting this a lot lately. I've been using the "binaural abyss" (in the downloads section) as it works very well for me. I've been getting more and more to that level of final being able to just lift myself out. I feel I am accustoming myself gradually to these states so that I ease myself through the fears.

Anyways, I've been experimenting with different states, and one I've been getting (especially last night) is a confused state of where my consciousness really is. It really feels like it's my awareness kind of in-between my physical and etheric bodies. It's really a nice feeling, so I felt satisfied just staying like that for awhile. I'm just wondering if thats what this really is? and if so.. what's my next step? I have trouble separating body parts of my energy body from my physical, but the vibes come easy for me. Not many projection techniques I've tried get me anywhere past the vibes, so I've been just trying to relax into them and let the "projection reflex" take over. I just can't trick my mind into letting the separation happen.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Timothy Leary Video
October 24, 2003, 19:31:02
I was just curious if anyone's ever seen, or has possession of a Timothy Leary video entitled: How To Operate Your Brain. I do own it, and the concept of it itself is very interesting. Its goal is to restore the brain to it's natural chaotic state by overwhelming your brain with visual and auditory signals. Everytime I watch it I do get something from it. Usually it brings me into a very comfortable trance (but not quite). There have been a few times where it has totally taken me in, but I have not yet been able to control my reactions to what I'm feeling (same problem with OBE).

I ordered this video off of Tool's website: www.toolband.com, but it is no longer available there. I would definitely reccommend it if you can find it, it'll effect you as long as you believe in it and don't fight it (maybe not change you or your perception, but it's ideas and concepts make a lot of sense). I was wondering if anyone else has either seen it or heard anything about this video? also if ur curious, feel free to ask me about it.

A little after 10am (eastern time) this morning, for no apparent reason, I got a very strong dizzying sensation (localized within my head). Everything just felt like it was spinning around.

I could compare this to a marijuana-like sensation, but everything else was still normal. It came out of nowhere, and was extremely strong right away. It gradually lessened over the next hour or so. One thing I also noticed for awhile after this, was that I actually had very vivid day dreams. I felt like I was almost phasing into them. I'm not saying that these things are related, but I feel it might be important to add that.

One of my theories is that I pinched/stimulated a nerve or something as my head was turned to the left. Otherwise I have no idea whatsoever. I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? It wasn't unpleasant, so I hope that means it's a good thing. My main question is though, was this a strictly physical sensation? or maybe it was something outside of myself related to an energy sensation?

This was an extremely odd experience, your help is going to be greatly appreciated.
#11
The big barrier holding me back from having experiences right now is my breathing. I've come VERY close to having a lot of experiences, with only one success in phasing. What happens, is that once I begin to reach heavy sensations (in other words being close to an exit), I somehow stop breathing. Like I'll hold my breath in for no reason whatsoever (it's almost like I'm bracing myself for the exit). And what I'm forced to do is take focus away from my exit technique and put it onto controlling my breathing.

I'm trying to incorporate breathing into a technique, but with little luck so far. Anyone else either have the same problem, or anyone who had it and has gotten over it? Any projection techniques anyone knows that involve focus on breathing? Any other tips on how to overcome this?
#12
I have heard this mentioned before, but never explained. I'm not too advanced in my practices yet, have not successfully recalled a projection, but i see this spec of light in what looks like the center of my vision all the time. 9/10 times it is with my eyes closed, either laying down and relaxing, or even just blinking during the day will cause me to see it. But I also see it in my plain sight, eyes open, although usually just for a brief second (whereas I can examine it for a few minutes in a relaxed/trance state). Anybody know anything about this? maybe if this is a good/bad/neutral thing? Any responses are greatly appreciated.

I've been making lots of progress lately, but ever since I started having experiences, my mind has always panicked at any experience I have. For example, last night, I experienced 3d blackness for the first time. I felt like i was there. But then, as always, my mind panicked and remembered where my physical body was, back in bed. And that triggered the end of the experience. Is there any way to fix this? Any concentration exercises that would help? Anyone that had this problem and fixed it, how did you do it? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / karma paradox
February 24, 2003, 18:35:14
I support the belief that good and evil do not exist. That they are human creations and exist only in our minds. However, I also believe in karma, which states that good actions are rewarded, and bad actions are punished. How does karma determine what is good and what is bad? Is it the intention of the action? If it is, someone's mind is bound to be taught that killing is a good thing. Can anyone explain this for me?

Welcome to Metaphysics! / reality stimulus??
January 13, 2003, 20:02:36
Ok, so me and a bunch of my friends have done some thinking, and scientifically concluded that reality is an illusion. We've broken down quite a few problems, but we have one real problem now. If the world is merely a perception of our mind, there must be some sort of stimulus. Anyone have any explanation on or just some questions or comments? I will appreciate any feedback.

Ever since I've started preparing for lucid dreaming i've had probably 6-7 experiences in which i realized i was dreaming. Problem is, everytime something goes wrong. The first couple of times i got overexcited and woke up. The one almost WILD i had i ended up just losing my lucidity. The rest i've just lost lucidity, never really getting anywhere to close to being fully conscious. I've read about some techniques, and i've tried asking myself a simple math problem to get the logical half of my brain working. that didnt work well. I think every other time, i had just tried to think about being more conscious. I have a couple ideas left to try, like concentrating on one aspect of the dream to strenthen its vividness, but I would like to know if anyone else knows other things which could help me out.

#17
Ok, i know I've been able to do this most of my life, and I have no idea whether its unique or very common. but I've noticed that when I do it, i get some pretty severe eenrgy sensations. What it feels like is a very uncomfortable internal contracting. i honestly have no clue what this is and I'm not even going to attempt to make a guess. Can anyone help me out?

#18
I was reading up on Carl Jung's idea of the collective unconscious we all have in our brain. Basically, its a record of the history of all human actions engrained into a seemingly inaccessible part of our brain. This got me thinking of how maybe the akashic record phenomenon may actually be us visiting a part of our own brain. This is just a theory, but I can see it being quite possible. It makes sense to me, how bout u?

Last night, I did all my trance and projection attempts as usual. Then I usually switch to trying a WILD. No success yet, but last night i dozed off. And then, i know i woke up quite a few times, but i'm not sure about this one. I remember waking up still half asleep trying a WILD and feeling sensations. I actually remember fear in my mind and i had to keep shutting out all the negative images that came to mind. But anyways i remember falling into the dreamstate, but either i lost the transition, or I was actually dreaming that i was trying to induce a WILD, because the memory I have of it seems like a vivid dream memory. I would just like to know if this is normal for WILD attempts, or if it was probably just all a dream.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / REM induced trance...
March 18, 2002, 18:31:53
I think I found a shortcut to achieve a light trance. I've tried it a few times, and has worked everytime thusfar. What I do is I trigger REM by forcefully looking upwards and holding it a little while. Eventually my eyes will go into REM, I guess since REM cant happen while ur awake, u immediately go into a trance. The trance does feel different tho, it lacks any energy sensations. Probably because I did no previous energy work as I normally do before entering trance. Anyone else ever done this or wanna give it a shot? i'd like some more verification.

I was just wondering if anyone here has read the book entitled "Nothing in This Book is True, But It's Exactly How Things Are" by Bob Frissell. Its really extraordinary, and talks about "rebirthing" which is a fascinating approach to ascension. The book is mindblowing, just wondering if I'm alone or not.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / astral noise
February 23, 2002, 18:55:53
I've been having some pretty horrible experiences with astral noise, and nothing I do has helped me get over my fears. I've heard the things a lot of people hear like banging on doors and windows, but I am not accustomed to hearing things that arent really there and seeming so real.
I've tried leaving a light on, but that doesnt help at all. I do fine in daylight hours, but I dont have the time to do that very often. Basically it is battle of will against fear for me. I'm not sure which is winning, both are very strong in me.
I'm just asking if anyone has had similar experiences and/or if they know how to overcome/shut the noises out. thanks

quote:
Where did the idea for this order come from, I wonder? Anyone?

Well, this whole thing could be a hoax, but who cares? It has some pretty amazing effects. The concept comes from taking the two middle songs (tracks 6 and 7, parabol and parabola) and applying the concept of a parabola to the track listing. Obscure, I know, and difficult to visualize, but basically just start in the center and go out. 6,7,5,8,4,9,3,10,2,11,1,12 (13 opt, not a song, but maybe triggers some type of realization if you're in the right state). I got the idea off of a tool message board, so either someone actually figured/randomly tried this out, or someone started a rumor.

Tool's music, especially the more recent stuff, is incredibly mathematical and spiritual. The planning and precision put into this music is incredible, and I've never doubted for a second that they don't know what they're doing.

For those who try this, they can either "assist" the music by following focus onto the descending chakras (i.e. 6-crown, 7, third eye, 5 - throat, etc) or you can just meditate in a mindless, thoughtless state and see what happens.

Another thing that just came back to me is that the subject matter of the songs fit eerily well with the chakra's and their supposed function. Track 5, schism, is about communication, and corresponds with the throat chakra. If you look into it, you'll find many "strange coincedences."

Post any experiences back up here.

Haha, I was wondering if anyone else experienced this too. Mine happened only once to my recollection, and was after a nap. I fell asleep before my friends came over, and I was woken up when they walked in my door. At this point the incredible confusion hit me. My first thought was "what the f*ck?" and it only got worse. I asked them what the hell they were doin here (I knew who they were, and who I was, but I was just confused). It lasted like 15minutes (not just 10-15 seconds). I would get to a point where I would say "ohh ok, they just came over to hang out," and then I'd think "wait, huh?? what's going on??"

So for me, it's extremely funny in hindsight. While it was happening, I wasn't really scared at all, just terribly confused. I knew the where, who, why, and how, but the what eluded me (I just could not understand what was happening).

I'm curious to hear from others, and a bit more about your own experiences, Vvid1012.

Ok, nothin interesting yet. What I did last night, was set it to 100min, 90 min, 90min, 90min... kinda just to get me in the habit of waking up after each sleep cycle. It worked ok.. but I slept through probably half of them. My purpose in this was to wake up, record my dream, and try something called "dream incubation" where you suggest your unconscious mind in doing something specific during a dream (solve a problem, increase creativity...). So instead of just right before I feel asleep, I could continually reenforce it.

So I never ended up getting up to record any dreams, and dont remember much from last night either. But I got up at 7 to try the "rapid fire phasing." I tested the volume, started the timer, and went back to sleep. Again, only about half woke me up, and the other half just felt like "rude awakenings" to my mind. I did wake up in the very relaxed state, just my mind wasn't "in it."

Right now, I'm mixing 3 different things. The "suneye" method which was posted somewhere in these forums, techniques from a dreaming book ("Dreaming Realities" by Silverthorn and Overdurf), and this thing. So I go to sleep with my unconscious suggestions, wake up early, and mix your timer with the suneye method to get results.

I think my problem right now is that I need to wake my mind up more. I'll try splashing cold water on my face or something. Maybe some energy work will help too. I'll let you know if anything happens tomorrow.

About your program: it's really ingenius, there's not much that can be improved upon. It's so simple and useful, and my computer speakers just happen to face my bed directly. I'll try increasing volume a bit, and if I can't wake up to something that will be heard elsewhere in my house, I'll try headphones if I can manage to sleep with them on.

So I'll keep you updated, and keep me updated by giving me any suggestions you might have and what not.
