Hi,
I actually have two websites for you.  They both deal with the phenomenon called a near death experience, or NDE.  The first one is here: http://www.near-death.com/  and the second one here: http://www.nderf.org/ .  Reading the different accounts of NDE experiences from all kinds of people from all over the world is what really helped me come to terms with the whole life after death thing. The nderf website has a link that lets you read the NDE's of people who submit them, and it is updated bi-weekly.  That way you can read fresh accounts instead of ones that happened years ago.  (although they are all profound :) )

Hopefully these sites will help you some.  There is quite a bit of material on both sites, so hopefully you will find something useful.

Hi,
I just watched those not too long ago.  It was pretty cool for me to see the face behind the "voice" in his books.  :-D  I love his books too!  Like you I always seem to find something new when I re-read them. Do you have the Gateway series, or have you done the series at the Monroe Inst. ?

Hi,
QuoteWe ALL have our own 'Triggers' that open up our own 'Levels of Awareness'
This is quite true.  I have found that the Robert Monroe and Bruce Moen books have helped me prepare for and understand conscious OBE"s than anything else that I have read.  Still, I am always open to new ideas and techniques so I keep an eye out for any new info.  :-D

Hi Illusionist, I just joined too.  :-D  I have a quick question for you.  As a LDS, does this sort of thing make you feel bad, or guilty?  I have read that many people from different religions (with buddism being one of the exceptions) experience OBE's and the like and often feel like they are doing something wrong, or that they will be punished.  If you dont mind I would like to hear your thoughts on how you feel as a LDS.  Thank you!  :-)

Hi,

Yes, I have read that book, but it didnt really help me.  Of course at the time, I was not yet ready to actually try to experience my own conscious OBE's.  I was really just trying to read and research as much as I could on the subject.  I do have his other book "Mastering Astral Projection: 90-day Guide to Out-of-Body Experience".  I plan on starting to use it in the next couple of days.  Do you have this book, and if so has it helped you at all?

Hi bonthan, I am new here too.  There is nothing wrong with being a skeptic.  The fact that you are here to learn about OBE's is what matters.   :-D  I think that we all come face to face with our mortality at some point, and everyone deals with that differently.  Honestly you could read all you want about other peoples OBE accounts, and all kinds of literature about how it is done, but until you experience it yourself, it will always be a belief instead of a personal truth.

I have finally decided to join because I am finally ready to learn how to have conscious OBE's.  I have had one non-conscious one, and several dreams that I highly suspect were OBE's.  If you are interested I could give you a great website to check out that may help you with your questions about life after death. I know that it helped me out quite a bit.
