 I must express my gratitude for your info!
 I met Ammachi, the "hugging saint" from India, last November and have since become her devotee and have begun attending satsangs.  I know the basics of spirituality but had until now not applied them to any ritual, so here I am practicing Hinduism and know not much about it.

It is truly wonderful!
Ammachi (Amma) is an enlightened and powerful being of light who travels the world giving away her divine love.  I recieved her darshan and she whispered in my ear "darling daughter" repeatedly, while she did, she implanted energy in me.

Although my experience was not as powerful as some (I'm seeing her again in July) I know without a doubt that she is real.  I've one friend who was instantly healed by her and another had an OBE, both had to be helped off the stage.  There are so many miracle stories surrounding her and it is hard for a Westerner to believe them, but I do, because I know that she is the embodiment of the Divine Spirit.  

I will stop rambling, I think her website is www.ammachi.org or something like that, it gives her tour information.  She gives darshan as a service to the public, and also will give a mantra if you request it.  When she gives mantra she will implant the energy of the mantra in you (I haven't done this yet) so that as you repeat the mantra that energy will grow.

//Thank you though, because I want to know more about Hinduism.  I know that all spiritual paths if followed properly will lead to the same end, but I've found only one Amma (mother) and she's Hindu.
