What's up with what's going down
In every city, in every town
Crampin' styles is the plan
They've got us in the palm of their big hands

When we pretend that we're dead
When we pretend that we're dead
They can't hear a word we've said
When we pretend that we're dead

c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon
c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon
c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon
c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon

Turn the tables with our unity
They're neither moral nor majority
Wake up and smell the coffee
Or just say no to individuality

When we pretend that we're dead (pretend that we're dead)
When we pretend that we're dead (pretend that we're dead)
They can't hear a word we've said (pretend that we're dead)
When we pretend that we're dead

c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon
c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon
c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon
c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon

When we pretend that we're dead (pretend that we're dead)
When we pretend that we're dead (pretend that we're dead)
They can't hear a word we've said (pretend that we're dead)
When we pretend that we're dead (c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon)

dead (pretend that we're dead)
dead (c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon)
dead (pretend that we're dead)
dead (c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon)
dead (pretend that we're dead)
dead (c'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon)

After almost two very frustrating years of attempting everything under the sun I finally made a breakthrough this afternoon! I became 100% lucid and flew around town! It was incredible.. I can't even begin to describe how awesome it was.

I just wanted to encourage anyone who's struggling with a little doubt and frustration.. keep at it.. it will happen eventually.

I was just meditating for about 45 minutes when I began to melt (so it seemed). I've never experienced any of the classic pre-projection symptons up until now.

Tell me if this sounds familiar-

Meditating, very much aware of my surrondings, cars passing by outside etc. My thoughts were teetering between the sensations produced by my skin and the big void. Suddenly I begin to "feel/see" a mixture of colors accompanied with almost complete loss of physical sensation... my eyes for some reason began to flutter very rapidly (a little like REM, except it was really difficult to stop them from opening all the way) until I began to get a little frightened and stood up. The thing that startled me the most was the sensation of disintegration! The oddest part was how aware I was of my surrondings the whole time. It's nighttime here now so I may heed to Robert's advice about practicing during the day until I'm a little more comfortable with the whole thing.

:-)  That's great!  Was that your first time?  Isn't it absolutely amazing?  Now, why do you think we can do that?

First time, never had a lucid dream in my life before this one.

Now, why do you think we can do that?

I've gone from zero dream recall to ocassional dream recall to recalling multiple dreams per night. It's been nearly two years of reading about and trying every technique I could find. I have never been considered particularly gifted in a dreaming or psychic sense.. just your average joe like anyone else trying to develop these skills. It just takes patience and persistence. I'll admit I was getting a little discouraged for a while, which when I think about it may haven been a hurdle in and of itself.

How?

I had been sleeping for about 5 or 6 hours when I had woken up.. feeling rested I decided to get up and start my day only to realize a half hour later that I had not gotten enough rest... went back to sleep and dreamt as I would normally when suddenly I became lucid. I don't recall how I became lucid, I just remember my dream transitioning from one scene to another and the next thing I knew *I* was standing in an open field. It was so incredible, I was actually making comparisons to my dream world and the real world, trying to be objective.. learning to fly for the first time! One of the more interesting parts was when I began to wake up.. my dream body became extremely lathargic and tired.. I scrambled as fast as I could to get a running start in order to take off flying again, but just couldn't.. I felt like a lead baloon. Then *pop*, I was in my bed awake. From being conscious in my dream to being conscious after waking.

So just keep at it. Patience and persistence is the key.

was no longer their + a feeling of severe vertigo 9which i have anyway). that's when i stood up too lol. it was night and i wasn't expecting it either.

Severe Vertigo, that's a good description. I think that's what was the most frightening for me, sort of a nauseous disorientation. I just got up from a 1 hour meditation session and was able to almost get to that point again, not quite though.

Does this experience sound about right to some of you frequent flyers?
