Thanks, I'll try a dream journal but i'm not the best at writing

I want to go back to my 'dream' room, but lately i havent been having dreams at all. maybe a about a year+ ago, I would have dreams where I would appear in my dark room.
Don't remember them clearly, some were where I was in 'sleep paralysis' and would know that I am in a dream, would try to repeat something over and over again to try to wake up(this would take a while). another was: looking at the wall, and it was grass, something was talking about comparing green and dehydrated grass. Random people would appear in my room but I don't remember much about them.
There was another time while asleep I appeared in my dream room, but did not know it was a dream, heard an air conditioner sound while dragging myself to my desk because I desperately wanted to write something down but woke up. I've read now that the sound is common

One of the problems was after the lucid dreams I had when I was a kid, but before some of the other lucid dreams. i read some stuff about silver cords attaching to the physical body, how essential they are and stuff. So the silver cord started appearing, and my body was floating up. people like things appeared and cut the 'cord' attaching to my body, so I floated higher. A hole in my ceiling appeared, black with pinpricks of light, which looked like fake stars, my body floated through that and I woke up. I was upset. Honestly I thought i could never project again, but now believe that the cord is crap, because people can project without it.  Think it was some sort of trick to upset me
Appeared at my physical sleeping location once again, already above my body, although the image of me and surroundings was odd/too small. Other people were in the room, building metal structures around my body to prevent me from leaving, and I thought that was funny because i was already out of my body. The second I thought that one looked up and grabbed me, put me back into my body.

One of the earliest lucid dreams I can remember: walking in a bright place, looks like a tropical resort. My mom appears and whispers, 'don't say this is a dream'. So I decide To yell 'this is a dream' over and over and then i'm flying up on a bike, feeling great. Then i wake up.

there was a time when I was awake, lying down, then suddenly the whole room is spinning/rotating and I have a good emotional feeling, but i started to move and it went away. Wish i knew how to make it come back
1 more segment I remember: there was a rope in my neighbors yard, with an old guy attached to it. he was floating like a balloon. 
   Thinking about all these unusual for me dreams, I think they should connect or make sense somehow, but they don't.

when i had the dreams I didn't like the feeling of paralysis, wanted these things to go away. Now I want to go back, I think dreams where I am aware, and exploring/getting back to my room, will help me figure out life. Also remembering conversations would be great, being able to make choices like in the waking world, just going and experiencing things, remembering when I wake up. Hoping when i go to sleep I can access other places

Sorry for this long disorganized post, but I want to know answers about life, be more connected to other worlds, and be able to speak to my mind. I guess the first step would to have a dream where i am aware again
