Thanks for replying

But that's the point, am I not sub consciously effecting my dream for the worse. I know what is about to happen. For whatever reason did I decide to change a pleasant dream into a messed up one

Thanks again for your helpful replies

I wouldn't say I am naturally a very spiritual person, but I certainly don't rule out any possibilities. This stuff is interesting to me because I've endured very vivid dreaming most of my life. If I get SP again, which I feel I will, hopefully I can be better prepared. I also have reoccurring nightmares with the same spirit precense, so maybe I can use this knowledge to try and relax even during these episodes.

In my limited experiences in SP and nightmares, I always feel a precense approaching me but never see it. So I always interpreted it to be evil. And as you stated people associate evil with images they may have seen on TV.  So I always thought it was a alien approaching me. But when I actually saw it for the first time on my chest it was nothing like that. My understanding has grown and hopefully I won't be fearful of it now

Thanks for the reply

Will they ever 'test' me again? Does everybody get a chance to be tested?

Welcome to Dreams! / Negative Lucid Dreaming?

Hi all,

I've always had very imaginative dreams, when I was young I had a lot of dreamlike experiences that I couldn't distinguished  as being a dream or being real. That's not what I am here to talk about though.

I have alot of dreams where bad things happen. But I know bad things are about to happen even before they unfold. Example of a dream I had last night. I was laying in bed with my girlfriend just talking, I glanced over to the window and saw my cat sleeping, then I hear the a downstairs door shut. At this point I already know it's the back door to the house and strangers have entered. I continue on the dream like nothings happened and soon enough the strangers enter the room we are in. At this point I already know who they are (relatives to my dad). One of them is happy and apologises then the other one points a gun at me and says it's my dad's fault his in alot of trouble. Then before I am shot I wake up.  Pretty bonked up dream

If I am aware of things happening in my dreams is that not Lucid Dreaming?  And if it that's true why do I never react to the bad things that unfold?

Hi all

Just wanted to start by saying I am pretty new to all this and really just looking to see what other experienced folk think

About 3 years back I had a crazy 6 months/year where I would have sleep paralysis. And in this sleep paralysis I would always panic and scream because I always felt a dark presence approaching. However on one night was different. I was laying on my back entered sleep paralysis and didn't panic, then a small dark fuzz ball With a big mouth and teeth appeared on my chest, right in front of my face. It looked exactly like the dog out of the despicable me film. Anyway all it did was growl in my face, and as it was growling I was vibrating like crazy. This unfortunately led me to panic/scream again and I eventually broke out of the paralysis and woke up.

Since that experience I have never had any sleep paralysis problems since. So I am curious, was I on the doorstep of having a OBE? Was that a spirit there to prevent me from entering their world?, Maybe for my own good or another reason?or was it trying to help me project as it was the only thing to get me to the vibration stage? Is that the same spirit I felt in all my other sleep paralysis episodes?

Thanks guys
