About 4 months ago I purchased Astral Dynamics, and got right into it.  I have developed myself with NEW to some extent, and can successfully reach the trance state, but each time I try to have an OBE, I always fall asleep and have extremely vived, almost 100% realistic dreams that are very otherwordly, and sometimes nightmarish.  Now it seems that every time I do energy work before going to bed this happens, has this happened before to anyone?

I believe that Hell cannot exist in a christian belief system.  I believe that Hell does not exist.  I also believe this:  Food and water are two basic needs of the human race.  Spirituality is another.  However, cut off food and water and the body will die rather quickly. but if you skimp on spirituality you won't be equipped to deal with life beyond this one.  Maybe this is Hell.  Being confused, for eternity.  Also, for all you people knocking Christianity, you're posting on this website so you believe in higher planes of existence, is it so far-fetched to believe that something came to earth and put on a show and tried to show us a thing or two about life?

I believe it is a personal choice.  I believe when we die we can move on, or we can come back again.  I don't think there is any way the brain-meat can comprehend death in it's true form. There is no possible way to prove either side wrong.  If we do have a choice, I think I could go for another round of humanity, I mean, there's no way to be sure if where we go next there will be high-school, women, fourth of July parties, and cigarettes!

Thanks for replying.

I've found that terror is inherent in any spiritual system.  After weeks of energy work, obe attempts, shamanistic journeys into the lower and upper worlds, and shamanic meditation, I have found the fear to be beneficial.  I haven't been out of body yet, but I am still trying, and I've always been thankful for nightmares and other-worldly dreams.  They are a gift.  The one emotion that just about every form of life understands is fear, and the need to survive, so in being afraid, we connect with life in a completely general level.  It's sort of life looking rolling back the evolutionary time line, back to when there was just Life and no denomonations or different forms of it.  The universe is a terrifying place, but that's no reason to be scared (::chuckle::).  H. P. Lovecraft wrote "The oldest emotion of mankind is fear.  The oldest and strongest fear is fear of the unknown."  Thanks again for replying.  I will make it to the astral plane within two months.
