these decubitus ulcers can take months to heal. The main thing is to keep his immune system as high functioning as possible, to assist in healing, Plenty of nutritious freshly squeezed friut and vegetable juices, wheatgrass juice, etc, etc,
Next..important that he is turned regularly so that he does not develop any more ulcers anywhere else. That's why the special bed at the hospital is important. The bed is instrumental  for recovery.
As for the dressing.. there has been success with honey dressings,( I have not heard of the sugar recipe here in Australia). Look on the internet for more info.
Next.. state of mind, attitude ..also instrumental in healing..Shaun needs a stress free or at least a low stress environment for healing.. Plenty of humour or whatever makes him relax.
So of course, it goes without saying...love love love!!

regarding your brother's illness.... I also feel that laughter is so important for him, ( positively changes the brain chemicals as well).

Your mamma needs love, not avoidance because her stressing  bothers you or the other family members.
Be calm yourself when around her.

Your Acceptance of her as she is,
Your Understanding and listening when needed
is probably what she is requiring.

Not easy to be this way with one's mamma!!
As time winds it's way, the roles reverse somewhat.
Sometimes the child has to be the parent!!
Please try this, and see that she has a cradle of love, much like she gave you when you were a crying, stressed out infant.
Do nice things for her.!!

I have found that we can't change others, only ourselves.

And I'm sending love to her right now.

Hi All!
Seems Goingslow was right.. lots of talk, no locale!!!...a grassy knoll is fine with me, in fact, Links Shadow posted a good photo of one, with a small stonehenge, (back on page one of this topic)..we need only add the archway/portal with a big AP carved into it and we could be meeting there tonight!!
Has anyone found out the reason for Mirador's warning of creating such a meeting place?
