i have tried to channel and even communicate with my guides with no luck and i have read loads of books and info on the web. Allot of the books out there were too airly fairy with nothing to make a "humble and simple" human understand the process. Or the books were too simplified.

From what i know allot of books on such topics are written just to make money and are aimed at those who have a fresh excitement about such topics- but then leave the person feeling unsatisfied.

Whats this book like? i hope you have more luck. Also what if the guides wont speak to you for whatever reason- what happens then

I too wanted to see auras, i first tried to do it on my own by reading a couple of web pages and i even bought a book called how to see and read the aura by Ted Andrews. That helps explain how the process works and it had some exercises to do which gave me some results- the ability to see a haze above all objects. At first i had to try to even see this haze but now i can do it whenever i want.
But obviously this was not the aura then i read robert bruces guide of how to see auras which also explained allot. After doing a the exercises (on and off) i now can see the aura of colours in good light in light backgrounds-but not all te time.
I have not totaly learnt to see auras of people or even objects but im slowly getting there- i hope

Jodi I also bought the Tom Chalko book on auras and that wasnt that great either. In reality its not even a book it simply a set of photocopies he typed up (with diagrams and pictures). I remember reading the same book online for free and that wasnt any different from the printed version.

As for the seeing aura bit, the book was too simple to show you that much. The book mostly tries to convince you that the aura exists then theres a few exercises and thats it. I had to wait to get it from australia and i was left unsatisfied.

I have had more luck with robert bruces Guides on how to see auras.

I read the book last summer and at the time i thought it was ok, im not putting the book down but i have read better. From what i remember he jumped to some conclusions without explaining himself properly.Being a scientist i was surprised by this.

The positive thing about this book is that it may open people up to new ideas especially if they take a more logical side to life.

I had kinda the same thoughts when i wanted to learn how to see auras.Basically i did not want the ability to see auras if it would mean that my life was intruded on. But from what i know you dont have to use it when you dont want to.
The reason i came to this was because once i decided to learn body language. Once i did it was like my life was intruded on because because i could see what people were feeling without them saying a word. But i got used to it now and dont pay attention when i dont want to[:D]
