I was wondering when I lay down to attempt an OBE, would it be more effective if I used a pillow or is more effective not to use one when entering the trance state?

I can also recall having a similar experience. It was almost like being suffocated( not breath but you'll know what I mean ), when trying to get rid of the darn thing.

I'm sceptical myself, not Randi the ignoramus sceptical, but sceptical none the less. I don't doubt that people "feel" like they go out of the body, I've had OBE's myself. The issue I have is that these tests on OBE's don't actually test if something leaves the body. Instead they just test for ESP. For all we know OBE's could just be a variation of RV'ing with hallucinations thrown in the mix. Personally I would like to believe that the occult theory is correct, but for now I just don't know. And in the world's current state, even if it was proven I doubt it would ever make it into the public arena, or accepted by mainstream science. How do we know it's not in our heads?

I very much doubt the Christian Satan is real, considering the Bibles contents are highly unlikely anyway(in the face of logic and evidence). But agreed everything has it's counterpart, like ying and yang. But if you can prove Satan's existance, I'm open-minded enough.

You know I've been pondering those exact same things myself.

Thanks guys for your feedback. I must admit I've been using two pillows, I can still achieve the vibrations on a good day using this but I find myself becoming aware of my body knocking me out of a trance. I think I'll try it with one pillow and no pillows.

So I may not be Robert but no personally I don't think Satan exists, and is just a metaphor for evil. I think that Satan was invented by the priesthood into scaring the town folk into doing what they will say "do what we say or you'll burn in hell with the devil".

I also agree, in fact I don't even like using the word God because people then seem to associate you with Christianality. God for me is just the "life force"(yeah I know it sounds cheesy but you know what I mean), and I agree that we are apart of God not his minions :).

I'm in Sydney and would love to participate. I don't think it's very hard for Americans to come to Australia. The job situation is good not sure about the cat, it might have to be checked out or something first.

Focusing to much on the technique and not going with the flow. Decide what your going to do before you begin then keep to the plan and just run through smoothly.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Belief Systems

I smashed my Christian Belief system into little tiny pieces about a year and a bit ago and haven't looked back since. Now my belief system is based on experience not just taking anyones word for it.

I've had that before myself, as I was waking up once I felt somebody touching my forehead and it made a kinda buzzing sensation, I kinda shrugged and then it happened again. That was it for me I was outa bed lika rocket.
