It's funny how it's similar to the way different religions work. Many are very different but, when put side-by-side, you can see through them and find out their similarities. The books and their author's points of view are the same, they seem to try to describe the same set of phenomena, the way it seems to best come together to them.

What a nice experience! Let's see how your friend reacts to it :)

Really, the My Big TOE trilogy is THE source for Tom Campbell's stuff, it's a gem, I have mine in print, it's a masterpiece

Back when I met the Astralpulse, I remember reading his name here and there, but never read any of his works. Now that I went through his website, I decided to give it a try.

The book seems to have a set of cds that go along with it, but they're sold separately. Someone on amazon said, however, that you can create the cds yourself by following some instructions contained in the book. Let's see how it rolls.

I'm thinking about going for it, any regards anyone?

It should be required reading over here

http://books.google.com.br/books?id=RYHtBPiZVgsC&printsec=frontcover&dq=my+big+toe&hl=en&sa=X&ei=hUMLT8G_KpDAgAeY15zFAw&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=my%20big%20toe&f=false

Available for free by Google, Tom Campbell's "My Big TOE". Full trilogy, a dense, thick read, but definitely a rewarding and belief-smasher one.

I was just thinking about how that is recorded, they probably get a pair of good microphones, place them facing opposite directions, then use some sort of cone-shaped "external ear" to help direct the sounds. Then record it as if there was somebody there.

Can't find anymore clips, though.

Yes, it wasn't created with the intention of changing your brainwaves patterns or anything like that, it was meant to create an immersive experience using only simple stereo audio (two channels). It feels very much immersive, just like intended.

Hi guys. I first heard of Thomas Campbell a few days ago and couldn't help myself from sharing this with everyone. His work is put together in a book called "My Big TOE" (theory of everything, 800 pages trilogy), available on googlebooks and as a pdf on the internet.

He came up with a theory that unifies physics and metaphysics. The book must be a good read, but will take very long to go through. You can watch a few of his lectures on youtube, though, to quickly decide whether he is your man or not.

Big 2-hour lecture at the TMI with spanish subtitles:

Look for his Hawaii seminar also, it's very nice. I felt his work connected with my way of thinking, more so than all other approaches I've attempted. Hope you enjoy his theory.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the only prerequisite to mind work is focus. The ability to focus your attention on something and to keep it from going astray.

People who do yoga say you should empty your mind, exerting full control over it. Breathing exercises, picturing different energy patterns going all over your body, all techniques converge into one point: silencing the inner dialog.

My current opinion is that once we exert full control over our minds (stopping the inner chattering) we can focus fully on other realities outside our bodies. I think we can gain enough control over our minds so that we can easily choose to let go of our physical sensory inputs and swerve into the non-physical world.

I don't think we even need to worry about any focus levels at all, at least until we have enough control to calm the inner dialog. The TMI tapes could work as a rundown, but I think the main point is to gain control. If we set ourselves this goal when approaching their tapes, instead of hoping to have a OBE, then I think we can achieve much better results.

Hi there, I've been away for a while and felt like I needed to share this with you guys. I was browsing wimp.com and stumbled upon this video:

http://www.wimp.com/holophonicsounds/

Holophonic sounds are sound files that, when reproduced through earphones, gives us a impressive sensation of immersion. We feel like we're inside a 3d environment, surrounded by all sounds. It's amazing, give it a try. You must use earphones, it's impressive indeed. It's based on the concept that we all build our own realities based on the inputs we receive and on how they interact with our previous knowledge.

The last sample from the file above shows a hair drier going all over us. Listen to it and, while you're at it, try using it as a awareness targeting tool. See if you have good results, I could feel that very specific areas of my body were being targeted because it seemed the hair drier was aimed directly at them.

That would serve as a tool for working our energy flow, wouldn't it? I feel it targets quite well.

Share your thoughts.

I haven't attempted tape 4, the release and recharge one, yet. Have you guys had any good results from it?

(I don't care whether people download the tapes or buy them, it won't exert any effect upon my experience. Everyone should do as they please and keep it to themselves, these arguments are needless, in my opinion, except when aimed at policing the boards)

:-P It's already been pointed out, that's enough.
#15
personalreality, what did you think of the book? have you gone through it yet?
#16
It was the "energy bar tool" that gave me motivation to go through the program, it simply sounded so cool! hahah

Haven't gotten there yet, though :P

Back when I did the tapes more frequently, the simple thought of coming back to focus 1 would bring me out of it. The goal of the second tape (wave 1, tape 2) is for you to find out how it feels to go in and out of focus 10, not to explore it. That's what tape 3 is there for.
#18
That's very interesting!

--Is your avatar Winnie the Pooh while astral projecting??  :-D

It was not confusing at all, you put it quite clearly. That's a really interesting experience!

Did the experience "aboard the ship" happen with your astral body? Were you still aware of your physical body in sleep paralysis?

Any contact with any form of intelligence? Did you feel there was some sort of intelligence sorting through the animals or was it just random?

The Discovery series (Wave 1) are great. Back when I first heard about the program, I was extremely excited, I figured I would go through all tapes quickly and soon I'd be the master of my conscience, being able to do anything.

As I progressed, though, I never got to hear tape 6 to the end! It's hard work, and tapes 2 and 3 tackle the most important step there is, which is reaching focus 10, the "ten" state, where your mind is awake and your physical body is "deeply asleep" (talk about hypnosis, I can hear bob's voice while I'm typing this! hahah).

It takes some effot to control your mind to that point, but once you can get there and come back at will, everything else will come much more easily.

I'm also using tapes 2 and 3 continuously. Tape 2 is a guided tour to focus 10 (easier). Tape 3 makes you get there on your own (harder). I interchange them as I find necessary.

I find it totally worth the money spent, it's a great rundown.

Its partially caused by the disorganization of people's thoughts. They act as separate brains mostly. The artificial intelligence will, for the first time in history, organize the thoughts of people at an intuition level and across thousands of miles many people at once, and its going to blur the line between physical and nonphysical a little, as it always was but became a tangled mess thats hard to change.
That goes somewhere, definitely. I look forward to hearing from this project! Don't let this one fade away.

I found that the second time was even better too! I explains a lot, helps you understand and grasp the real message of the movie.

I had seen the movie yesterday, it makes sense, but I don't think I paid enough atention at the time - my desk is still messy :P

Makes sense, though. All it takes is focus.

A few days ago I watched the movie "Shutter Island". It takes place inside a mental hospital (a rather suspicious one), where FBI agents investigate a missing patient. Actually, the place is a mental institution for violent criminals.

The investigation quickly turns into a journey through the minds of those considered crazy by general population standards and makes you wonder about the true meaning of reality and how individual, personal, it can be.

An amazing movie that gives you plenty of food for thought afterwards. Definitely worth watching.
