Maybe this is the right forum, maybe it's not, but I couldn't think of anywhere else to post it.

Item 1) When my youngest daughter (now 9)was of the age 1 - 5 years, when she was asleep in bed we as parents would check her out prior to going to bed ourselves, usually with a good-night kiss or stroke of the forhead. So often at these times we would feel here skin tingling or vibrating, a feeling like stroking a Port Jackson Shark skin (for those in Oz), all rough. Both my wife and I could feel it. It would be her whole body tingling, arms, legs, chest and back - the full monty. Any idea what this was about..?

2) When I was younger - mid teens, I used to have two things repeatedly happen to me. The first was in my dreams and every time I past through a door or an opening, I would change time periods. ie I would be in a room with everyone around me dressed in medievil clothing, then I'd open an an old wooden door and step into a 1940's scene, then another door or a curtain and I'd be in another period. I could also look out of a window into another time zone. Very interesting dreams, but totally inezplicable to me>>>>>

and 2nd'ly, usually when sitting at the dinner table, I would switch to what I can only describe as "Tunnel Vision with echo". I would look at my father across the table and suddenly he would be at the end of a long tube or tunnel about 20-30 feet away, looking very much smaller than normal, surrounded by a frame of light (look down a toilet roll tube, then extend it to 20 feet and you'll get the picture). Speach was also echoie and distant. The only way to return to "normal" mode was by blinking very hard and forcing my focus back to the table...  Any ideas on this ?

Strewth mate - that was a hell of a "whats it all about Alfie" post.
I must admit to have asked myself most of the same questions on numerous occassion - especially at low points in my life..

The material things of the home, I gather to make my life more physically comfortable. The books I read and things I do (some successfully and some not) are to try and bring me hope. Hope for what may lie ahead, 'cause like you (I suspect), I would hate to think that all these tough lessons are for nought if we cant take the experience with us when we die, pass-over or whatever it is we do..

Why do some people have a breaze of a life and others have nothing but crap thrown at them from the day they're born ?  I dunno, but "Hopefully" one day we'll all find out. And thats it realy, its all just hope. Only the fortunates who have experienced anything other than this mortal life can actually say "I believe", for belief comes from experience and without experience we only have Hope...

The meaning of Life?  Buggered if I know.
I've been asking myself the same question for years.

Why is it that some people seem to cream through life with everything they want,(in all ways), and others simply exsist, with all the crap in the world being thrown at them.
I would say that we are here to learn, but why do most of the lessons in my life have to be so hard? If living a life of dead-ends, flustrations and angsiety (spell check), means I will become a better or more understanding person next time round - it would be helpfull if we could remember the previous lifes lessons.

Every positive has a negative, every action causes a re-action, but not every question has an answer..

What is the point in knowing where we come form, if we dont know anything about it. Why know where we go if we can take nothing with us.??

I still remain hopeful.

No I haven't, but I once got an audio tape from the local library, called "Journey into the Past" by Denise Lyn. Starts off with soft mystical sounds and she slowly talks you through using mental / visual stimulants such as "image your favourite most relaxing place, looking for a door, then go through it etc, etc. I must admit that the one time I tried it I did "seem" to have a trip back somewhere.

I was walking across a rolling countryside of green fields, flowers and trees. Following a dirt path that wound its way through the countryside, I came upon a village. The huts where of stick and thatch construction maybe around the 1500's. People watched me as I passed by and nodded to me in a respectful kind of way. I felt I was dressed in robes of some kind and the feeling I had was that I was a priest or churchman of some low order. Thats about where it ended... Must have another go as this account has freshened my interest again.

"Walk in Peace".
