I previously posted this, as a reply to another post..I'm new to this site, please forgive me. I have had the same experience over and over for many years. I have asked friends and family if they also experience this and no one seems to even grasp what I'm trying to relate..perhaps someone here can give me some insight.
What happens is when I am coming into a wakeful state after being asleep or I have this shaky feeling inside all over my body, almost to the point of it feeling twitchy. At the same time, I see flashes of images, some as simple as letters, or numbers or symbols, and lately others such as scenery, these images speed by at many per second, but I am able see what they are. These images used to appear to me to look like they were on the old Green Screen Computer monitor, and more recently they seem more black and white and silvery. Last night I had a very "real" dream that I saw my great grandmother and told her how much I missed her and loved her. I remember being pulled back slowly from her to this wakeful experience of being shaky and seeing all these images..any input? Anyone else ever experienced this?

I have had the same experience many many times over many years. I have told a few people who think I have lost my mind, perhaps they are correct. Anyhow..what happens is that upon coming to a concious state after sleep or I feel very shaky inside and almost to the point of twitches all over, as this is happening, I am also seeing flashing images one after the other at a very rapid speed, and most of which I can make out, it used to be just letters, numbers, simple patterns. Now I see flashes of scenery  and at times still simple images, such as flowers, houses, sun, fish..just random stuff. The images used to look like the images on an old Green screen computer monitor but now seem more black and white, it makes no sense to me. I am not awake but feel as though I'm coming back to a wakeful state through these images and shaky feelings. This probably makes no sense to anyone. But if anyone has had any similar experience I would be interested to learn about it. If you have any input on what may be occuring that would also be appreciated.
