Hi, have many people heard of David Icke?
He's from the U.K. and I'm very interested in what he's been doing over the last few years.
I have'nt heard much about what he's been up to for a while now.
I'm very interested in finding out about the work he was doing with clearing the energy lines of the earth and trying to help with dispersing heavy/negative energy blockages.
I live in ireland and don't seem to be able to help, or talk to other people who are aware of this kind of activity in ireland or anywhere else.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Lisa.

Hi,
I have a question,
I have been trying to get back into astral projection because when I was younger it scared me a bit. I didnt know where to get any information about it etc.
But now I seem to have a block. Its like my mind wont let me go back.
I think that meditation should be my first step in going back to that state of obe threshold.
I even know some techniques like counting your breathing and visualisation but my mind just wont let go.
It feels like something wont let me.
I feel it too when I write about stuff to do with my other self on this site, I make more mistakes typing, its wierd and I find it hard to explain and my heart even beats faster!

Does anyone know what I'm saying?
Maybe someone could tell me about a good technique they know to help meditate better........
Thanks

Hi, this is my first time writing to ye guys, just came across this site.
For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in death, and anything out of this world but not obsessed I just always found it to be really interesting.
Because of this, I stumbled across OBE's. I then became really interested and was getting my hands on as many books as possible, mostly scientific from the 1900's for obvious reasons.
So, I'm now 24yrs old. the last time I tried OBE I was 16/17.
I think it was the only time that I'm fully aware of.
I had found a really good book called "afterlife".
The night I tried to do it, it started off with me pretending to myself that I was going to sleep, thAt took me about 3 hours. Then I decided to lose all feeling of my physical body, this went well and soon I felt a loud buzzing in my ears I was fully aware and reminded myself to stay calm and it worked, I remember the last thing I had to do was kind of move my mind into my other body, I think this was when I felt and heard the buzzing. I didnt see the ceiling but I looked at my astral body and I was a light all flowy and whitish. I decided to leave my bedroom, I wasnt afraid at all, I felt really happy.
At first I tried to open my bedroom window but I was trying to do it like I had to use my hands, but then I realised that I could think about it and it would happen (going somewhere). I went to my grand fathers house, not far, and I remember being in the back garden and I wanted to see if he was ok so I 'floated' up to his bedroom window, I couldnt see in but I could actually hear him snoring.! and I knew he was ok.
But what I would like to know is about the rest of my experience....
I went to my friends house and tried to wake her up, I think I did, and I was talking to her, but was I talking to another part of her that she doesnt remember?Another thing that happened is I then went to another friends house, and decided to go into her room too. I remember going in through her bedroom window, I stayed there for a minute or two.
I then felt like I had been away too long so I went back to my own body with just a thought.
The next day, I told one of my friends about my experience, I asked the girl whos bedroom I was in last if she had experienced anything different about the night before and she said that the burgaler alarm in her house went off at the same time I was supposedly there but she had no idea about what I had already told my friend about my experience.
Is this just a coincidence?
About a year later I went to a mind body spirit festival.
I met a man there whos aura was really strong, he was speaking to a group of people.
I decided to talk to him and asked him about the big glow around him.
But anyway, he was a cellular healer, and offered to help me with my questions, I told him about the OBE and he said to be really careful cos I could be posessed. This scared the life out of me and I never tried an OBE again. Is ther any hope for me? How do I move on and try again?
Would appreciate any feedback, if you got this far[:)]

Ok fair enough, well I know myself that a lot of what D.I. says is a bit far fetched, but I suppose like every person even with the tiniest bit of insight I can decipher which statements and beliefs are more credible, what I do is I read a lot of books and I have realised that there is a common theme, D.I. has picked up on this, I dont have to explain what it is because we all know.
So thanks for the other name I'll look that up.
We agree really on the basics.

oh my god, you obviously have no idea what this guy talks about, there is no cult, that is laughable, all he says is that the world is going throught changes, there is nothing about feeling the need to be chosen, that is the most rediculous statement I have heard in a long long time.
I am actually shocked by what i read,
physycological mind games huh!!
this guy does research on the workings of governments all over the world, especially America, RESEARCH! This can be verified and researched yourself, when I said that if you only believed 30% blah blah blah well I was talking about all the evidence he has about the Bush admin. about Haliburton and about how some conflicts these days are fueled by the need for certain oil companies to get their pipes through countries that they had no control over unless they hadn some reason to get in there, I will mention no countries but there are more than one.
On the other hand he says that he is a medium (not his own words) but he recieves help from a guide or more, are there not plenty of people on this site who also have a guide? there is nothing far fetched about that, his main objective as far as I'm concerned is to get everybody to realise that the earth is a living breathing organism and that we should all stop consuming and destroying the earth like we are.
Is that mad, physcological mind games?
I am really shocked to realise how wrong a perception people have of this guy, I am not a fanatic or anything like that ( i can imagine the next postings already ha ha) but there are plenty of other intelligent people who also have the same views as David Icke.
The only physcological mind games that are going on are the ones on the news and in the media, brainwashed millions, what a shame.

I have read Truth Vibrations and Days of Decision, both very interesting, I wonder myself about the story he has about lizard beings trying to control the earth, but the fact is, this man has got something to say. What he has said himself is if somebody tells you they that they find what he's saying totally insane and not a bit of truth is in it then why not ask yourself, what if only 30% was true, how would you feel?
thanks Ralphm for the link.
He worked with a medium called Betty Shine and I have also read one of her books.
People have  always been called mad when they say something that freaks the general public out.

Its funny, less than an hour ago I was talking to a friend of mine and I was telling her that I find it hard to meditate because whenever I try, I begin to leave my body, also when I'm going to sleep at nite. I used to go on this site regularly but I found myself not being here so often because I was reading so much about negs and really scary things that were happening to people, like something out of a nightmare, so I found myself not wanting to make my fear of obe-ing worse than it already was.
Then I thought to myself that I would pay a visit and I was really happy to find a thread on exactly what was on my mind, coincedence? I think not.
I love it when things like that happen.
ThanksXXX

First of all I do not get my facts from the internet.
Secondly, what I have noticed with this discussion is that people always have their history, you are now saying that Welsh is the main language and that the Irish language is dead, have you ever been to ireland?
Everybody is proud of their heritage but it doesnt mean that Wales or Irelnd was the crux and beginning of it all.(Gealic or Celts)Everything is connected and people and countries including different academics all have different points and accounts which does'nt nescessarily mean that one person does'nt know what they are saying.
All countries have their own history, including you and me, which is very obvious.
"Welsh is the strongest of the celtic languages" ok fine, the fact that your from Wales has nothing to do with it I suppose!
What I am guilty of is not being specific enough with my words, I dont confess to know everything about all of this but am very interested, that is why I am in this discussion- TO LEARN so I really dont think that insulting me  is the way to go as it's a bit off putting to come back and learn more, I'm just intersted thats all and trying to add my bit of information, so dont be so hard on me .

Correction; England once spoke it too.
I would want to be pretty stupid to not know that Britain is made up of England Scotland and Wales!
The reason I said Britain was because you had previously corrected me on the fact that Britain was not divided up into the three countries we now know, you said that England, Scotland and Wales didnt exist at the time.
I feel like I'm having an information war!
Insert
The Gaelic language is not encouraged in Ireland when it comes to the parliament, it is compulsory.
All members of parliament speak fluent Irish.
It is also compulsory in School and also if a person wants to be a police officer.
There is also a Irish/Gaelic language T.V. station, and radio station.

The Gaelic language is still spoken in Ireland, Britian once spoke it too but it has been lost on that island. It now exists only in France and Ireland.
Paganism and Druidism was alive and well long after the Romans had conquered Britian.
The fact that the Gaelic language (or Celtic) was wiped out in Britian and not In ireland proves that the language was an itergral part of the religious practices of the normal regular people, not the cheiftans and earls but the people.
This Celtic language was disallowed in Ireland in the 17th century, a long time for people to be speaking this language.

First and foremost, it was never said that Patrick was the 'son of Ireland' ????, that is not irish propaganda.
When you say that the word druid is 'highly unlikely' to be Irish, let me rephrase that, Gaelic is the word I should have used.
which as you know was not confined to ireland.
I speak Irish or Gaelic or gaelige and druid is a word in the irish language, where it originated to there is irrelivant because what I said is true, druid in this present time is an irish word and probably also is used otherwise.
Yes Ireland became christianised early, but this religion was not forced upon the people, monastaries were used by the monks to write and document various religious texts, this was their work among prayer and devotion.
The peasants could not read or write, they were not taught by the monks or other religious people because being able to read and write was only nescessary if you were a Scholar or monk.
The relationship between the monastaries and the people was that they helped them agrculturally and practically.
Their aim of forcing a new religion on people was not a perrogative at this time in IRISH history.
You said that patrick came to ireland in 6th century, The romans, as you say were in Britian in the 4th and 5th century, well maybe 200 years is no comparison for you but for me it is simply because even though patrick came at that time which according to you means that Ireland was then christianised, it takes time for people to forget their old ways and beliefs does it not?
They didnt just forget everything the second Patrick landed in Ireland now did they?
Yes Ireland was known as the land of saints and scholars, learned men came from all over europe to study there but the people were just getting on with daily life and worshipping their own gods and spirits like they always had done for a thousand years before.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Empathy

All of this seems so familiar, when someone is upset I start to feel all these emotions, one time I was in a cafe with my friends when a man came in to drink some coffee, he was sitting across the cafe, I had never seen him before in my life but suddenly everything about him just hit me, it was very sad, he was feeling really desperate and scared, it was horrible. I felt he was somehow mentally disturbed and I was feeling it all.
I had to leave, I ran upstairs where the toilets were and I was hiding, not intentionally, but when I look back now, thats what I was doing, I was really upset and I seemed to express his feeelings.
I went back downstairs and left the cafe.
It took a few hours to get back to myself.
People are talking about thoughts not being their own, this happens to me too, it has only been recently that I have noticed, It seems like I'm constantly having to fight for my own thoughts to win.
I always said to myself that these usually negative thoughts were me, but I'm not so sure anymore, because the thoughts seem to be stronger than the thoughts I prefer to listen to, its like when i have a certain thought about absolutely anything I am regularly very surprised that I just had that thought.
Does this make any sense to anyone?
I have often gotten the face of a stranger flash before my mind before I fall asleep and it is normally very clear, I'm confused and surprised to find people describing the same thing, i thought i just had an over active imagination,
i have always believed in all of this but i am experiencing a different awareness in these last few months, I had put this side to sleep a few years ago because I got scared but now thats changing, and i am now reading about things that I already know inside, but not in words.
I feel that when a lot of people come together to try and share these experiences, each person is telling a bit of the bigger picture and then someone else comes along and tells another piece, it starts to add up, and its really good to know your not a freak. lol.
This site helps a lot.
thanks people.

If you want to try being stoned while practicing then I think you should reallly only try to get out of the experience something that you can apply to your life while not being stoned.
THis in my opinion would be the feeling of being relaxed and the feeling of eurphoria aswell as not being able to feel your body.
When you know what it feels like then it is easier when you are sober to recount those feelings that will bring you closer.

That is fascinating to know that 'St Patrick', the patron saint of Ireland was actually the person you described.
It's funny how these facts are so completely unknown.
The story goes in Ireland that he was a poor boy who was kidnapped by pirates and brought to Ireland to work as a shepard in slavery! This boy was then to have grown up and become a very good man who spread the word of god, he walked on a pilgrimage to a mountain called to this day 'croagh Padraig'.
People still go on pilgrimages, up this mountain, in their bare feet.
'St Patrick' also supposedly banished all the snakes from Ireland.

This is what I was taught in school, not as a story, but as fact, I find it so rediculous.

Even the fact that he was a bishop in reality managed to work its way into the tale, as St Patrick' is the image of a man in a bishops official clothing and he is also carrying a shepards staff.

I agree totally that the old irish stories are steeped in historical references, I really wanted to say that before but I didnt know if I should trust my info, as people here have so much knowledge about so many things but I do firmly believe it myself. A lot of the people in the stories/accounts/tales (depending on what it is your reading) did exist like the warriors and earls and the places.

And I must add the magic existed too, there are really noticeable paralells between the practices of the native american 'sorcerers' or shamam and the practices of the druids and I think they are the same.
They did the same thing which was to hold our world and all its mysteries as reality.

I am also dying to know more..............Tayenis how do I get the info you get?

I just have to add that the paganism in Britan faded a bit faster because the romans wouldnt come to ireland, the irish and scottish were known as barbarians. They all had beards and thats how we got the word barber or the french for beard 'barb'.Therefore the practices in ireland lasted longer.
That is why the english stories seem to be caught up in a more obscure history becuse of a higher interference by various writers.
There seems to be more of a mish mash.
So maybe I think the irish accounts and stories have not been mentioned even though paganism in ireland was still going strong while the romans in Britan were settled in.

I remember being told stories about druids.
The word 'druid' is irish and I know that it means priest or teacher.
The druids were witches, they were in touch with nature and treated it with reverence.
Women were treated as equals in old celtic Irish times, so there would have been female druids too.
Halloween, an old celic pagan celebration, the eve of spirits or souls.
The winter and summer solstice is  another pagan/druid celebration still going strong in ireland.
The first day of spring, is brigids day now, but brigid is the pagan godess in irish tradition, the tradition of the druids. They also worshipped her.
The first day of summer (bealtaine)-irish for may, is another druid time celebration.
If you want to know about druidism look at wicca as it is very like old celtic paganism and if you want to get a feel of how wrapped in magic old celtic/pagan ireland was look at old irish legends and stories.
I'll give you an example 'Tir na n'og' land of the young. and 'The children of lir', 'The Salmon of knowledge' beautiful stories with undertones of magic that can be looked at differently these days, me thinks!

Jeff, I totally agree with you on this one, and it's a pity because people lose out when it's so hard to read their posts.

Notice how I got their right, he he.

English is a beautiful language is'nt that enough of a reason to keep it as it is?
We have certainly lost enough beautiful words already, condemned to dictionaries and old novels.
Read some Jane Austin and see the difference, there was so much eloquence in speaking, such a descriptive language.
I would say that other languages also posses this quality too of course.

So all I want to say is, lets just try and keep the language beautiful!
If for nothing else but that reason alone!

What you described sounds really nice!
Do you have any photos of all the candles in the graveyards on this night?
If you do I would love to see one.

Does nobody think that jesus for example was just a person who was very spiritually complete and could astrally project?
Heal? have empathy and everything else that goes towards us being total humans.
This is what I believe and it goes the same for every other religion out there. They and their "christs" have all these things in common.
We, People, have in the past turned these people into the figures they are tody since religion got a foot hold on this world.
mohammehed, buddah, and jesus were all people.
What made them different?
Why do we still know about them to this day?
Forget Religion... this
These people were great leaders, strong people who knew what this world was about and why we are here.
But because of ignorance and and the fact that the majority have conveniently forgotten  that the right way to live was to be aware and to love and to be always at peace with yourself and the world- the energy that we call this world.
These people were connected in every sense of the word.
We silly people, well you know who, - goverments, the church and greedy souls have lost the true message.
But through site like this and people who make it their priority to get to the truth I see a bigger awareness and everybody is noticing, they dont know what it is.
I think I see it in things like people wanting to eat organic food, and in working life for some people who get the benefits from there employers who are also aware of stress and how that effects you.

As far as oral communication goes when trying to get information about the past as far as I know about oral story telling tradition being Irish and having a strong oral tradition you could find before these stories were written down was that the people who knew these stories learned them by heart from generation to generation. But I just think the collection of stories in the bible were not meant to be read literally like they are fact, but they are for the purpose of learning from the story like a parable. i know parables have their own compartment but it seems so obvious that these strories were lessons.
Then again maybe I'm completely wrong lol.

well I think I've written enough now dont want to go off on a tangent too much, Take Care.
Cailin.

Maybe the reason  people can experience these sexual emotions  while in the astral and not before or as a means to project, in my opinion could be the human confusion between sex and love.

Because two people who are in love might also be able to describe this feeling of two beings being merged.

when someone has the experience that askeltal is talking about with that feeling of pure love this is what makes sex something different to an act of lust or desire.

I think if you try to project while experiencing sexual energy and using this as a means maybe your actually projecting this energy in a way that we only experience as physical beings.

Well, maybe someone else agrees or maybe not would like to hear..
