I'm new here. I just wanted to say hey and introduce myself, I believe my first projection was on my 8th birthday. I was passed out asleep and "opened my eyes" and noticed I was floating above myself, sort of spiraling upwards away from my body slowly (that's really all I remember of it) and I of course just thought it was a strange vivid dream. I've always been interested in paranormal, psi, telekinesis and astral projection, telepathy etc, and eventually started to try projecting on purpose but never was able to, this lead to me listening to hemi-sync and binaural beats music.

Shortly after I started listening to this type of music, and trying to project.. I developed "Sleep Paralysis" and would wake up unable to move quite often, at first it was scary and I thought I was dying but over time I got used to it and figured "oh this is nothing new, just that darned sleep paralysis again" but after some time, realized that I could go into "lucid dreams" and sometimes would even get up out of bed, find my way to the kitchen and realize I wasn't really awake, even though everything was so vivid (One time everything was more vivid than this reality as we know it, that was amazing!)

so anyways, eventually as I kept experimenting, still never able to induce AP/OBE at will and always only experiencing it through random Sleep paralysis, i started to get a strange tingling on my forehead, right in the center which feels like a swirling energy that started to get more and more noticeable, it was very distracting and I'd find myself rubbing my forehead often trying to make it go away, especially when it started to trickle down my face/temples. I had no idea then that there was something called the third eye chakra, and simply thought I had nerve issues.

because I was never able to induce obe on purpose I gave up, the forehead tingles went away (i can still feel it but it's not as strong) the sleep paralysis is a lot less frequent also.

I just decided to look into OBE again because I'm having extreme insomnia and originally was researching relaxation/meditation to sleep, but stumbled back upon this info.

maybe this time around I'll be able to accomplish something  :-D I really want to see "the park" so many people claim to have seen, I first heard of it from Robert Monroe.

If anyone knows good hemi-sync or binaural beats to assist that'd be great.

Thank you all

also an ironic fact about myself: I am terribly fearful of death as I worry I may cease to exist, and also although I do believe in OBE I am a big skeptic, even after already experiencing it something in me always doubts  maybe that is holding me back?

I agree, there's nothing mystical about visualizing. Just remember a scene from any movie you've watched, tada. Look at a poster on your wall, close your eyes and remember what it looks like, there you go... or even more fun close your eyes and remember where all the objects in your room are, in your head/imagination walk around and examine each object in your room while the entire time laying still in bed. I'm sure if you make it a game to try and remember more and more of the items in your room each time, and detail them more and more then you will get better at visualizing.
