When projecting, you are thinking on a much deeper level.
You will not bother trying to spy on your naked neighbour ;)

My problem is that I usually fall asleep if trying to climb rope for too long (or trying any other technique for that matter). I get impatient and try to climb the rope faster and faster. I actually try to force the OBE and for me it seems to create a state of mind needed for projection. I have never projected so far, but I'm definitely sure I was close. I usually get distracted by astral sounds as well as real world noises, which all seem drasticaly amplified at the moment of projection. I also feel my heart pumping at incredible rate and I wish I could say it is the heart chakra, but I am simply not sure. That is when I usually quit and wake up in cold sweat, breathing rapidly.

I am not sure what it is that I am doing wrong, but I don't think it has to do with rope technique. Perhaps it has to do with real life stress, I don't know. But what I do not understand is how I can get so close to projection while so stressed and unrelaxed. I can actually feel and move my every limb during the process and my breathing becomes faster and faster until I can no longer stand it and I simply have to wake.

Btw, nice to see a friendly face from Croatia :)

I actually wonder how you never heard it before...
I hear it always, even when fully awake, we just don't pay atention to it. If I concentrate on it, it can get really loud and can start the vibrations.

Try doing some energy work. Perhaps closing your chakras after projecting would help a bit.
There's also a possibility of a neg activity.

It could be many things but I would say you have naturaly high chakra activity and it would be best if you'd learn to control it.

Fallnangel thanks for mentioning thinking in words. I never realized, but always when I think I actually speak my thoughts word by word! Even my tongue moves to a degree.
I tried to stop it but I forget to control it after a few minutes. I guess it will take time to get used to it.

Well it doesn't happen just by reading the book and trying for a week or two... or a month. It takes a lot of practice and even more devotion.

Today I talked with a classmate about martial arts and at one point he mentioned that he meditates as a part of his Judo training. We talked about it for some time when he mentioned how he achieves a state where he becomes very "heavy" and he can literally feel his body float. I explained to him that he was in a trance state. Then he told me that once, while in a trance state, he felt some kind of vibrations and started seeing various lights and hearing strange sounds. He didn't know what was happening so he got up quickly. He didn't believe me when I told him he was about to AP, but he promised he would not quit next time he expirienced vibrations.
Also to mention that the man never heard about AP, and out of body expiriences before.

Myself, I have done it consciencely two times. Once from a lucid dream and once using a Golden Dawn technique. I usually get to vibrations easily but can't seem to get out yet.

I suggest you take small steps first and try to become lucid in dreams as much as possible and remember them. You will discover many great things that will keep your mind on the subject. Also, a dream journal should help you there too, since dreams are easy to forget.

I don't know why do I even bother typing this...
I'm not here to prove you anything lau_lauz. Why should I bother if you believe in OBE's or not? I don't understand how low you can go as to ask for a proof!
Everyone has a right to believe in whatever they wish. Everyone has their own path to enlightment.

If you believe in it, it exists.
If you don't believe in it, it doesn't exist.
Now, believe what you want; I couldn't care less.

I have to agree with T.Dead.
Physical time travel is impossible. For instance: let's say you went to the past to prevent WW2 and you did it. So there never was WW2. So, YOU in the future never knew about it, so how could YOU go back in time to prevent it?
OR:
Say you went to the past to kill yourself there. If you did it, that would mean you never existed in the future and never got the chance to kill yourself. You cannot deny this paradox.

If men found out how to time-travel anywhere in the distant future there would be no world as we know it. What would prevent some lunatic to go to the distant past and prevent whole human race to evolve to what it is today?

Shaman, since you mentioned it...

I too have a problem with sleeping on my back. However it think my problem is far more serious.
For some reason if I accidentaly fall asleep while lying on my back during the night, I start choking. I usually have a kind of a nightmare at that moment (drowning for instance) and when I wake up I end up in sleep paralysis, which makes it even harder to take a breath. After I finally regain control of my body and gasp for air, I am so stressed that I cant sleep anymore.

I'm not sure if it is possible to project so close to the physical so that some of it's laws would still apply, but it is possible that you somehow imagined or knew you couldn't fly or pass through solid walls which would give the results you stated.
I haven't had similar expiriences so far.

Yes you had a projection and the simptoms you had were exactly the same as mine. I, too, started hearing noises and having vibrations when I tried to create a new scene in a lucid dream. First everything went black and then I saw something like a colorful circle. I think I went into the circle and appeared at the desired place although I got too excited and ended the expirience quickly.

I tried it today and suceeded. This is the first time I projected ever and only thanks to my great visualization abilities.
I wasnt about to project but was only practicing visualization in the morning and havent realized that I projected until I went to school.

I started this morning while still lying on the bed. I visualized myself walking in my room. It was hard at first to imagine that I was walking (vertical) since I was actually lying in bed (horizontal) but after a minute or two the strange feeling dissapeared. Then I tried the living room, bathroom and the kitchen.
All seemed fine. It became a bit harder when I walked out of my house since I didnt know what to expect. I imagined cars passing down the street but couldnt tell if it was real or just an imagination. Then I went few blocks away and stopped when I saw a green old car parked in someone's backyard. I didnt know if I just imagined it or it really was there, but I thought it would be a good idea to check it out when I go to school. On my way back I spotted another old car, but this one was white. After 20 minutes or so I "waked".

When I went to school later that day I went to check for the 2 cars I saw in my visualization. They were both there. Same colors, however the cars werent old. They were both quite new cars (mercedes and opel if I can recall). Also, I remember seeing a man working on my neighbor's house roof in my visualization although it was obvious that there were noone since the roof was complete.
I am not sure why some of those things were opposite than they should've been, but the cars were good enough proof to me.

Sorry for bad english, I was in a bit of hurry [|)]

I just read the whole thread today and am eager to try the technique.
I believe I can visualise very well and that would present little trouble.

However, I think I'm still missing something here...
Does it give astral projection or etheric (real time) projection?
Grizli you said the projection can be more real than the etheric one, but what did you mean by that? As much as I understand you cannot see and hear other people in their physical form, right?
And are my eyes supposed to stay open throughout the whole projection?

Hehe, sounds like a huge step for me.
Still having problems with vibrations... seems like I hyperventilate
every time I enter the "vibrations state" and have to quit
because my heart beats impossibly fast and I cant breathe.
Anyone had similar problems?

Just wanted to say hi to a fellow Croat...

Not sure what you ment with "lifetime Astral Projection" tho.
Never heard of that.
