I haven't projected in awhile.. and truth be told. my focus has been more so on my new baby than on astral enlightenment. it's been a year or so since I've last been out. I've been successful a handful of times with one very crystal clear OBE.

that being said. last night I couldn't sleep well for some reason. and when I finally did get to sleep. I caught odd things in my dream, one right after the other. finally, I jumped in my dream and flew. I don't normally tend to fly in my dreams, and whenever I catch myself flying it is almost always a trigger for me. I realized I was dreaming and at that moment, a woman's face appeared through thick clouds and I want to say she "guided" me to fly backwards in a loop. I remember feeling a rush of warmth and the word trust appeared in my head. I trusted the warmth and safely flew upside down. I don't understand what happened next:
immediately after- I heard the loudest roaring. continuous and rattling. I was in sleep paralysis. I was acutely aware that my physical body was facing downwards and my eyes were closed. yet I felt like I was facing upwards with my head turned to the right facing my mirrored wall. (mind split) I knew it was dark (night time) yet I kept seeing flashes of daytime in the mirror Inwhich I was looking at the side of my naked self looking away. this flashed image happened 3 or 4 times. then on the last time I, in the mirror, snapped her head to look straight at me. I think I was startled and my vision snapped to he ceiling. my ceiling was dark blue, same color as the rest of my walls (it's normally white) and there were these little squares of black and white that were vibrating and pulsating and moving in the same rhythm as the roaring. for some reason.. I was freaked out. I remember thinking that all I wanted to do was to move. to see my baby. to wake up and be out of this. then I heard very loud and clear over my left shoulder, in a somewhat frustrated voice. "wait! don't. just don't" and then kind of let out a groan. I felt freedom in my side then kind of my arms and my vision was brought back to my physical eyes. except I could see my husbands sleeping face facing upwards and a second face turned staring at me, eyes open. then I finally came to and could move myself and orient myself.

...and I was soo ticked off.

why did this animalistic fear come out of nowhere? I knew what was happening. I welcome the opportunity to step out and explore! I've spent soo many years and so much time attempting and trying every method u set the sun! I've been successful. I've been out. why did I freak out? what was this primal fear response that I couldn't get over??

anyone been here? anyone know what's going on?

was the voice a guide trying to help me out???

why's everybody staring at me??

it's been quite sometime since I posted this topic.. I thought some may be interested to know that I have a theory who the sleeping children were. when I posted this topic, it had been 1 month before my husband proposed to me. 6 month after we were engaged and about a week after we were married we got pregnant. I believe at least one of the kids was my daughter, hanging out and waiting for the right time to come into being. if astral time is all time, spirits on the other side potentially know the possibilities of what's to come. I have gone astral since my daughter was born, and met another child sleeping at the foot of the bed, she is either another daughter I have yet to have. or she is simply a guardian?

hey! thanks to everyone for all of your help!! I'm still confused as to what the sleeping children mean.. I've only successfully projected twice since I have been practicing. the first time there was one sleeping girl lying next to me, the last, there were 6 or 7 of them lying on the floor. confusing. I just thought it means something since I keep seeing sleeping women lying around me

ive read multiple places online that some people can project out of a lucid dream. how does one do this successfully?? I've been having difficulty figuring this out..

example: last night while in a dream, I realized my car was a different color. I knew it was a dream and became lucid. I then stopped walking to the car and thought forcefully "I will project" the dream fell away, and there was darkness. I noticed my body position was different than that of my physical body position and pulled out of it into a sitting position, as I rolled onto the floor I saw the bodies of 6 or 7 sleeping children on the floor. last time I left my body (the only time I was successful) I was immediately snapped back into it, so this time I ran for the door. once I got to the hallway, I tried to fly and ended up loosely floating along the wall and onto the ceiling. this wasn't right, so I thought I needed to be outside and was immediately in front of my front door, I opened it to see brilliant daytime with heavy red and fold fabric stream hanging outside.. I willed myself to fly and finally did it. then out of nowhere I woke up.

I'm having a hard time distinguishin if it was a lucid dream? or projection? coming out of body felt right but the last part makes no sense

how DOES one project from a dream? did I do it?

what do you mean by hypnogogical? should I have exited while the people were around? it wasn't so much as if people were standing there but more like a movie montage of every person who has ever been in the room. it had a sense of time because the lighting changed with days as people were coming and going. should I have projected in the midst of all the activity?

instead of doing that, it stopped at some point and I projected when the activity stopped, it was just the room and found the room occupied by myself and whomever I was sharing the bed with, no one else

my next question is how do I project at home in my own bed? it seems to be easier to project at other peoples houses than my own bed.

Hi! I'm a beginner and have been adamantly intending to project for the last month or so without much success. Last night I stayed at my grandmothers house, set my alarm to wake myself up at 5, stayed up for awhile then tried to go project. Instead of focusing on my body I only focused on my breath. After a long time I saw rings pass through my vision and felt the vibrations. Then instead of seeing the room like I assume I'm supposed to, I saw every person who has ever been in the room in a kind of fast forward movie. standing where they were in time, yet constantly moving (Is this because it's a brand new house?) I felt my heart rate go up, calmed it down because I did not want to lose the projection. at some point the people stopped appearing and it was just the room. I pulled myself up out of my body, it felt like I was getting up out of heavy water, to a sitting position. turned around, saw myself sleeping and another girl lying down sleeping next to me (I went to sleep alone) then I tumbled to the floor, walked to the door. I remembered how dark the house was a didn't want to go through the door and ended the projection(?)
