I'm not completely sure if this has been posted on any of the forums yet, but nasa announced they found the furthest near earth object ever, they claim it is possibly a tenth planet orbiting, you guessed it, our solar system.  Here's the link, im sure we'll know more soon

Ive read at various web sites, and heard from various people that vegetables/fruits exist at a higher vibration rate than meats/protein, and that protein is very grounding.  However the question I have is does anyone know why this is believed or have any of you performed experiments with AP on a regular diet as opposed to a vegetarian diet?  
Im just curious as to the basis of this belief as im considering becoming a vegetarian, mostly for health and possible vibrational, or energy benefits from a diet of higher vibration.

I first heard about Astral Projection/OBE's about 2 months ago when I started practicing techniques.  Ive been doing meditation, energy raising excersizes and such, and had one near exit about a month ago.  Anyways I woke up from a dream on Jan 1 2004 at about 4 am.  I thought to myself, "Okay cool, might as well take advantage of this to try to project".  So I layed back down and relaxed and let my mind become empty , I then began to feel the vibration.  I heard a rushing wind in my ears and was vibrating quite heavily so i decided to try to get out of my body.  I don't think I waited long enough and ended up in a very low vibration RTZ area.  I went to roll out, and i reached out with my astral arm but it was VERY hard to move, almost as if i was covered in wet cement, all my energy was basically instantly drained.  I could perceive my room and I thought to myself "I'm partway out" when i snapped back into my body.

For those of you who are still working on it STICK WITH IT, there is hope

Two lucid dreams in a row, dazzling clarity but beginning to fade now so i'll do the best I can to describe the events.I was in the kitchen talking with my mom who was in the living room, she had blonde hair for some reason and was skinny like she was when she was a bit younger. I came out into the livingroom from the kitchen and then thought to myself, "That doesn't look like my Mom, I'm dreaming!"  I then jumped up and tried to fly but I felt kind of goofy so my subconcious wouldn't allow it. I then decided to try levitating instead, I began to concentrate and slowly floated about 4 feet off the ground, still with no reaction from my psuedo-Mom.  Then I thought maybe I was unconciously projecting and this was her in the astral so I looked at her and said, "you're dreaming", she said ,"what?". I repeated myself, "You are dreaming", that's when she became hostile and came after me, we fought in the kitchen , me basically just keeping her at arms length when i grabbed a pan and intended to hit her with it, but i said "You're not my mom, BEGONE!" and i woke up

I was in my house and there was some sort of war going on, between who i'm not sure.  I got the feeling that it was the human species vs another foe.  I was contacted by someone who gave me a card on it was his name "Eugis, or Eugius or something like that, I got the impression that he was "Father Eugis", since he was dressed as a priest, which is strange since im not religious. I was however watching a TV show the previous night and one of the main characters was a priest.  Then he said, "call the number, I will not wait for you" and left.
On the card was a postage stamp and it had a red rose on it.
Later in the dream i was in my room and i picked up a cup
in the cup on the surface of the water there were words relating to the human species
I wish i could remember the words more clearly, i ended up figuring out that there was some sort of attack that would be devestating and only hurt those DNA strands listed (werent exactly DNA strands but i got that idea"

When I think back later it seemed like maybe it was the Kingdom, Phylum, class, etc of humans, but I can't be totally sure. Maybe it was a biological attack.
I dont remember exactly when I became lucid but I remember realizing I was dreaming, it just went too fast and I didnt have enough lucidity to totally take control of it.


These two entries are from my dream journal from right after I woke up, I apologize if they're hard to follow at all, this is the first time i've tried to articulate a dream in text.

The past month or so I have been reading a lot about astral projection.  I began to do relaxation and Chakra opening excersizes, although I have not been doing them every day like i'd like to.  Anyways, I had stopped even attempting to astral project for the past week or two, but something happened at about 5:30 am yesterday morning that resparked my interest.
I woke up at around 4 AM badly needing a drink of water, so I got my glass of water and downed it and attempted to return to bed.  For some reason or another I had some trouble falling back asleep and I was in a partially sleeping state, I knew this because my clock goes off every hour and states the time.  I felt like I was laying for like 20 minutes but it had actually been an hour.  I was laying on my side and flipped over onto my back.  Almost instantaneously I had a deep deep feeling of relaxation all over and felt myself falling into a sleep state, then it happened.  My body felt as though it was being pushed down into the bed and I felt a very strong feeling in the area of my third eye (brow chakra?). I then heard a very loud humming noise, it was not a static hum it sort of fluctuated, then my body felt like it was vibrating violently, almost as if I was going into convulsions.  Unfortunately I wasn't trying to project and wasn't expecting to project so I became frightened and quickly flipped over, effectively aborting the projection.  It wasn't until afterwards that I realized that I was on my way to a projection .

Anyways, just thought I would share my experience with you and hopefully gain some feedback.

Nono dont get me wrong, i think that its amazing that they found it, i mean, they say we would normally only have 48 hours notice before a near earth object actually hits us due to how little light they put out.  I say good job nasa
I did some crappy calculations and IF the object was traveling direcly towards earth at the same speed earth is moving (very unlikely) it would reach us in around 106 years.  I'm interested to see what else NASA finds out about this, the more detailed info is supposed to go on the web at like 1 pm.
This also assumes the earth stays completely still which we know it wont, i'm no physicist

I have a best friend whom I am fortunate enough to be able to talk abotu OBE's/Projection with.  However I also knew he practiced Wicca at one point in his life so he's more open minded about these things.

There is no way America could help every person on this earth, we could maybe afford to give everybody $200 although i fail to see how that would really help especially in the long run.  Bush has gone to war with 2 countries WHILE giving a giant tax break (not an economically sound policy)  hes give the military budget the biggest increase that we've seen yet, all the states pretty much are millions/billions in the red while the federal government still has that huge deficit over their heads, they're in the red too.  He's created new departments and given more money to just about all of them.  Now eventually we have to realize that this money has to come from somewhere and it is not neverending, if this keeps up hes going to bankrupt America, now is not the time to be adding another god knows how many billions of dollars to the nasa program so we can harvest red dust.  At some point (barring a plague) it might be necessary to move there but we're not ready for it yet.

It sounds to me like you're in a light trance state, although I usually dont get whistling in my ears in the light trance state.  Just try to go with the sound and relax after a bit vibrations should kick in.  Try not to even think about the sounds, take it as a natural environment type sound.. once I dropped into a very heavy trance and had pre exit vibrations and it sounded like someone was pounding on my door furiously, I knew this was all in my head but it startled me all the same.  Oh well, practice makes perfect

Besides, the subject has been debated on alt.fan.cecil-adams off and on for weeks, and even though no firm conclusions have been arrived at (par for the course on the net), the least I can do is give an interim report. However much I would like a green or independant party to end up in office it will not happen, and id like to be idealistic enough to think it could but at this point its not a possibility, if you want to get rid of bush the most likely people who can take him out of office are Clark or Dean, id prefer clark as dean doesnt seem all that bright either.
What people fail to realize is you cant control other people, they can crack down all they want on terrorism but they cant stop every attack.  The more they crack down, the more  people will attempt to attack us, there is no such thing as complete safety.  Hell, Israel is basically a police state and they're bombed every other day.  Instead of looking to control people we should be looking to fundemental causes behind actions taking place.  I'm not saying the terrorists are right for attacking americans, killing is wrong no matter who you are.  But they perceive themselves as trying to rid themselves of Israel who is constantly stealing more land and is backed by the United States government, hence the United states is a target, not because we love freedom, not because we hate muslilms (i would hope most of us dont hate anyone) but because we aid israel so vehemently.   Israel tries to steal more land from the palestinians via the new wall being built, we tell them not to and they do anyways, so what do we do to punish them?  We withhold 2 million dollars in aid, out of 2.6 BILLION/year.  Its a sham, we really dont care.
Same with the war on drugs, if someone really wants to pick up a heroin needle and put it into their veins THEY WILL DO IT and NOBODY can stop them.
America is headed down a dark path, especially with the patriot acts.
Its amazing what you can do with fear, Hitler used fear of jewish people to turn Germany into a dictatorship, and then to proceed to extinguish many many millions of lives for no good reason.  Now our government is starting to do the same thing but instead of fearing the Jews we fear the "Naughty Middle-easterners".  Fear is the most primitive of all emotions and the government and media are very good at playing those chords.  Now before you yell at me about how that could never happen in America take a look inside your mind and wonder why these things I say could upset you so much, could it be because it's the truth and you know it on some level? The way I see it its all in your head.  If you're of stable character and aren't afraid of being harmed and dont think you can be harmed, you wont be harmed.   However if you're afraid that weed weakens your aura and allows negs to attack you etc, they WILL be able to attack you.  The mind is a powerful thing and you will see and deal with what you expect to see and deal with.

People abuse alchohol too, about everyone who smokes cigarettes abuses nicotine, however the government doesnt feel the need to treat them like children.  Some people will have problems when using pot but dont blame the weed, people need to take accountability for their own actions.  We shouldn't be letting people who obviously have no or very little control over themselves ruin it for everyone else.  And with an abusive personality type if they're unable to get pot they'll just end up buying liquor, and from what ive seen alchoholics are much worse off than any pothead ive ever met.  Just my dollar fifty.

I usually try to OBE about twice a day usually about an hour and a half total.  The 2 semi-successful attempts that I made happened after I woke up from sleep at about 4 AM and tried to go back to sleep, I highly recommend trying to do that as it raises the success rate significantly.  It sounds to me like you're dedicated, if you feel yourself getting stuck in a rut unable to have an OBE it might be a good idea to give yourself a break.  The first time I got heavy vibrations was when I gave up trying to have an OBE at all, if that hadn't happened I might not be here on this site today

Thanks for the responses, they've been very helpful.  Ive decided after all the meat in the fridge is gone im going to go vegetarian, hell it can't hurt right?  Ill try to cut down on sugar too, hopefully this will help my energy levels, I've been finding lately that i'm tired quite a bit, probably for the past 6 months or so.  The hard part will be the sugar since I drink WAAAAAY too much soda, probably at least a 2 liter a day, hehe.

I've taken about 5 IQ tests throughout my life, the last one I took I took blown out of my mind and scored 4 points over my normal average.  So what does this make me think?
