Thing is, now I feel much closer to a person who "doesn't remember what happened".

no need for quotation marks here! she doesn't remember what happened but i assure you she is pretty darn shocked that you guessed stuff about her life. she knows it happened!
i just re-read your story and she told you she wasnt going to remember it, that in itself is a sign of awareness. she got the skills but she is lacking the memory. a dream journal would come in handy

The question for me right now is: How can I make the best out of what happened? Ok, I don't get how or why this connection with my teacher has been made, but that doesn't matter, really. It was kickass, it must mean something good. So I'm fine with it. More than that, I feel privileged that it happened to me and I remember it.

Thing is, now I feel much closer to a person who "doesn't remember what happened". What's next? I don't know what to expect. It feels good... but still puzzling! I can't go on ignoring what happened - it was too strong and sometimes it feels like there is something else to come out of it, but at the same time I don't want to push or force any kind of unnatural behavior between us.
I still dream of her, most of the times I don't remember what, but recently I had a dream in which I didn't see her at any time but could feel her presence watching the scene by my side. But I didn't get lucid...

I'll try to practice and read on.

Your words have been really enlightening and kind, so keep them coming :D

you cant ignore what happened and there is obviously something to come out of it. it could be that she has been your astral friend for a long time and now you finally met her in real life.
the point is, you found eachother, now you can work together..... you know.. the same way physical exercise and healthy lifestyle helps you relax deeply in dreams and restore yourself, the same holds truth the other way around. if you keep up a good sleeping habit good things will manifest for you in your waking life. lucid dreaming and astral projections are not just other dimension stuff. some people cure phobias and such during their sleep. its a mistake to think those things separately. we are all multidimensional beings after all
unfortunately our culture does not encourage us to pay the necessary attention to it.....

Many people do have trouble getting outside their house or apartment when out of body. Sometimes a special reason is needed. Perhaps trying to visit a friend who lives only a block or two away will provide the motivation for getting out of the house.

do you have any idea why that is so? it happens to me, i usually feel very heavy and its kind of impossible to make longer trips

Next time you can't see in the astral just say out loud, "Open your eyes!". This worked for me and a few other people I know. If you can't see in the astral you are missing out on a lot. Even blind people have been able to develop sight in the astral... Or so I have heard.

yes, works for me the same way! I shout "clarity!" and everything brightens up. sometimes people just arent used to command things around them but that is just how it works in AP

There are researches by Glenn Schellenberg showing how musicians have better self discipline, memory, and are able to concentrate for way longer periods of time. all of that relates to astral projecting so of course it is a factor that helped them both.  i wonder what would happen if they both tried projecting again with binaural beats or somwthing like that...... it should work brilliantly for them!

That probably did the trick then. I know Robert Monroe said he started experiencing OBE's, after creating and listening to sleep tapes for his business, not to induce AP's, but to help others relax or get better sleep. Still it had a profound effect on him. Sounds like the change in your lifestyle and improved sleep, did it for you.

100% agreed

we have a lesson to learn out of what erika is saying here. improving lifestyle may do the trick and enhance our experiences.
her teacher may have something going on as well, maybe she does not even realize it, but there has to be something.... they are both musicians as she mentioned.... i still think this plays a role in the case... music...
some of you may believe they have a special connection with eachother, but she is saying this was random and they've met recently... maybe there is something else to it. maybe the teacher holds the answer...

What has changed in my life recently was my lifestyle, you know, eating habits and physical activity. A few months ago I decided to change and cleanse myself, haha. Thinking about it now I sure notice all of this improved my sleep very much, and I can remember dreams better... but suddenly this! It's a bit more than what I could possibly expect!

hmmm, the more you tell us about yourself the more this seems to make more sense. it was not all of a sudden apparently.
people should pay attention to what you are saying here. taking care of the body is a great place to start in order to get the mind flowing. so simple, yet so many people miss this. you treat your body the way it deserves to be treated... its gonna give you nice things back! that's just how it is! and if you cleansed yourself.. no wonder you're getting your rewards for it. you must have done a great job btw
eating habits do have a straight connection with sleep. hormones released throughout the night will directly impact how deeply you can rest, and you can guess that is related to brain frequencies and so and so

Has anyone had sucess with it??
Also what kind of headphones you guys use for this? i want to get myself decent a pair of  headphones for binaural beats but im not sure what to pick up

Welcome aboard!
i'm looking forward to reading about energy work :)

As for the concentration thing, well, we're both musicians - that's what she teaches, actually - so I guess one can say we're used to keeping focused, yeah. And I happen to live next to a stream, I'm often exposed to white-noise, so it's pretty easy for me to stay calm and relaxed here.

now that is some relevant information! this makes it very obvious that the two of you are at least one step ahead in elevating your own frequencies. that normally takes years of meditation practice.
most people i know who are able to have projections are more prone to maintaining their lucidity because they are used to keeping focused in their daily lives. So practicing really helps!

it is still amazing that you haven't done this on purpose. i think you and your teacher have something to work out together if you wish to. there is a whole world to be explored and you should not feel like this is some sort of esoteric crap. don't worry about being called a weirdo, you've had an incredible experience and that is what matters.

you said your teacher was sleepy in the projection, that is probably because when you entered her frequency she was just having a normal dream. that makes it hard for her to remember it. she should work in maintaining dream lucidity, if she cant remember her it she is missing out on rare experiences such as the one you described. tell her to keep a dream journal!

look for Robert Monroe, Thomas Campbell, Stephen Laberge... Laberge has exercises for remembering dreams... it may be time for you to send out your teacher some homework so make her read that :)

this has happened to me several times, though in most of my projections everything is just dark. beautiful and all, but dark.

this is so so good!
thanks for sharing!

I very often fly in my dreams. Almost every time it makes me realize that I'm in a dream.

exactly the same happens to me from time to time.

last night i was flying pretty recklessly, not having died after a dramatic fall made me realize it was a dream

i've tried that several times but what happens is i get too awake after i meditate... what kind of meditation you do?
i've been trying kundalini stuff but it just turns out to bring on a bundle of energy

Very nice!

Shared projections are indeed something very hard to achieve, but they are possible.
I recommend that you take a look at Robert Monroe's books, there are documented cases of information fetching, kinda like you've experienced.

most people are trying to achieve the kind of experience you just described so be proud of yourselves! :)

Are you and/or your teacher at all spiritualized? I don't mean necessarily mystical... sometimes its a matter of being able to focus and mantain concentration for extended periods of time. are you used to it?

Your description of vividness and brightness does relate to a higher vibratory state, that is a higher dimension, but we cannot know which one it was. What is very impressive is that two people that have known eachother for such short time were able to tune in perfectly within the same frequency range, all of that unintendedly. it's a very good sign in my opinion!!
