A while ago I, for the first time, felt what I believe was sleep paralysis. Me and my girlfriend were suppose to go to the store, but I was really tired, and we were lying in bed relaxing before we were meant to go. So, I of course tried to keep my thoughts about me so I wouldn't pass out and miss our opportunity to leave.
Well, after a few moments, I 'blacked out' then, seemingly instantly, became aware again. But this time, something was different. I was very relaxed and comfortable. Then, as soon as I went to lift my arm up, it was like it wasn't even there. I halfway knew what was going on, but for some reason (amused by the feeling) felt compelled to try and move my body. I fought to sit up, keeping a constant strain and making the most of an audible sound that I could (which ammounted to no more than a type of hiss between my teeth).
After what seemed like about 10 seconds of straining, I gave way to movement. My girlfriend asked if I was dreaming, but I told her what had happened (she knows of my interests in OBEing). My question is, was this most likely sleep paralysis? And, most importantly, how do I get back to it?
I have tried recalling the way it felt, to try and get my mind to know what I desire. But so far I have had no luck. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.
