Welcome to Astral Chat! / Flying

I haven't been able to OBE yet (as far as I can remember [;)] ) so I don't know if this is related.

When I was a child I, while in bed, liked to close my eyes and imagine myself in my bed floating in space, as a leaf falling down from side to side, and after a while I felt it actually happen, I felt myself flying in my bed...
I also know absolutely sure that this was not a dream, I could still open my eyes but then the feeling would be lost.

Now I'd like to know if this is in some way related, or helpfull to OBE?

EDIT
I tried again last week and I can still do it.
But I don't feel anything else, like vibrations or other things described here that could say that it is OBE, I've never felt those things...

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Introduction

I haven't found an introduction section yet, so I'll post here...
@Admins - feel free to move this post if it belongs somewhere else.[:)]

Hi everyone!
I have been watching this forum for a little while now and have been reading the Astral Pulse website for a little longer and I have become so facinated by the subject.
I have even ordered Astral Dynamics but haven't recieved it yet.
I have never had an OBE. I think it is because I have a hugh problem with emptying my head. I simply cannot stop thinking, ever. But that doesn't stop me from practicing, I will be able to do it someday [:D]
Anyway, you'll be seeing me around here [8D]

Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid conversations
November 27, 2003, 07:56:33

I've only had two lucid dreams [:(] and I want more [:D] but that is not the question here...
When I had a lucid dream I remembered that I read on a website that it is good to start a conversation because you might learn something from it. Well in my dream I was walking in the streets and I only ran into a cat and when I asked him if he wanted to talk to me he said "no" in a very low voice. I met a few more cats who all did not want to talk to me...
Then I met a big black and a big white bird who both did not want to talk to me and seemed even annoyed that I dared to ask them if they wanted to talk...
Now normally animals like me [:)] so has anyone an idea what this was about?

Hey I started a topic about that too a while back, about how I used to do that a lot when I was a kid.
It's nice to see that more people know what I mean :)

LadyEowyn, was there more to just closing your eyes and visualizing that, meaning did you build up to that level over time as a child? It'd be interesting to see what steps you took if any.

Mostly for me I have to be in some type of dream AND moving my legs in some way (sort of like swimming...you HAVE to thrust your legs in such a way to keep above the surface).

For future trials, I suggest you try to have a goal behind what you do if you can...like instead of down, the leaf floats upwards (and other similar things to see the limits of your ability)

All I had to do is close my eyes and imagine that I am feeling it and after a while, when I'm relaxed, I start to feel it, that's it, nothing else.
I do not remember when I first did it, I can't remember developping it or taking any other steps.

Also remember being able to go any direction, not just down, it's like I'm in a flying bed in space. With a leave I meant going a little faster and then a little slower, like a leaf does, from side to side, I just have a little trouble finding a better description in English [;)]

Now that I think of it, trying to do it clears my mind and since I have a hugh trouble shutting my mind up otherwise, maybe I can just use this to clear my mind before trying to OBE...

Well I really wasn't dreaming, I know that for sure because I had to keep my eyes closed for it to work, if I opened them I didn't feel it anymore...

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Past Lifes

I really want know about my past lives too, but I haven't been able to project yet.
I also considered seeing some regression person, but my question is, how do you know that you can trust them? And that they're not telling you some nonsence story to make you happy and pay them...?
It would seem better if I could just do it myself, but I guess that takes a lot of work, that I now do not have the time for...

When I recently ordered Astral Dynamics I told my mom that a book was coming in the mail so I also told her what is was about.
She said she had seen several things on tv about people with near death experiences and of someone how was being operated on and saw it all from above and could describe it precisely, which was prove enough for her to believe it, she just didn't know that you can consiously do it. But she isn't very interested in the subject and she doesn't ask me questions.

My fiance is reading the book too :) and he loves the subject, maybe someday we'll be projecting together :D

My best friend told me that she sometimes sees her body from above and can't do anything about it and she seems to sleep to others and they can't wake her up for like 3 minutes. So I told her that that could be some sort of OBE and we talked about it too.

So no negative reactions for me yet, but I am very carefull, I only speak to people that I know will understand me.
Not that it matters much, I think everyone allready thinks I'm crazy :P

I see it more as something to live by, something to keep in mind before you do something. It makes you think about what you are going to do and if you are willing to deal with it coming back to you threefold.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Coma Patients?
December 12, 2003, 03:18:07
Newb question coming up!

Hasn't anyone OBE-ed into a hospital to a room of a coma patient to see if that person is there, or to try to communicate with that person that way?

Hi Everybody,

I have a question about Astral Dynamics, I want to purchase the book but I don't know if I'll buy the translated version (if there is one) or the original english version. My english is ok, but offcource my dutch is better. But the book is original in english, so it is ment to be in english, I mean there are things Robert Bruce describes in english that you just cant translate.

But I dont know....can anyone give me an advise? Or maybe the book isn't even translated so I don't have to make a desicion:-)

Hi!
As far as I've seen the book isn't translated in dutch...
I have just received it in the mail this weekend through bol.com, it's the english version, because they don't have it in dutch. I don't mind, I read english just as easy as dutch. I haven't had the time yet to really start reading the book, but from what I've seen it is quite easy to read so it shouldn't be a problem.
I'd say check out bol.com for the book, it's quite cheap and you'll receive it within a week.[8D]
I can't wait to start reading it!

@Wisp
Wel this is kinda funny because I often wondered what my totem animal was and I always assumed it has to be one animal.
Well I grew up with a cat and I love cats and cats usually love me, I've had a cat that did not know me sit on my lap and the owners freaked out because that cat never sits on people laps that aren't familiar. [:D]
But I have also a thing with birds, I've even had a sparrow eat from my hand, while sparrows are usually so scared.
Anyway, that dream was from before I actually wondered about totam animals and it never crossed my mind that it may actually have showed them to me...
I feel kind of stupid not thinking of it because I always felt it had to be either a cat or a bird...

Well I knew the cat was male, because of the low man voice he said "no" in, so I don't know about the instincts...

And that book sounds interesting, I'll look for it...

@Nagual
Yes, I feel kind of stupid walking away from them, but this was my first lucid dream knowing about lucid dreams (the other one, I was too little) so I guess I was too busy going "Coooool"
I now the next time I'll try to talk more.

I'm so sorry to hear, I hope everything will be ok soon...
Forgive me for being a newb here, but I would still like to ask a question...
What if someone here finds her?
What do you do next? Tell the police? Will they believe you?
