I'm curious about what you guys think about the "heaven vs. hell" thing.  

I have a lot of opinions about it from my visions but what do you think?

I don't think Earth will ever be overpowered by demons

I do think the war has been going on for a long time, in some other place and it's not necessarily good vs. evil, the lines are not so clearly drawn.

I don't think that any creature was created perfectly in the beginning, but I think all of the angels and holy creatures have fallen out of their holy status, and joined sides in the war.

I wonder sometimes if "to live is to wage war"

I look forward to the criticism as well as agreement, so long you guys dish out some honest opinions, but beware lousy spellers! (j/k)

I only know a few people who use the term "chording," and it is a very common phenomenon in my area.  

I hope I understand the term and I'm not mixing it up with another term.

From what I understand, chording can always be seen in a person's aura, but is usually negative energy attached inside the person's body.  In my experience, chording always relates directly to a negative event or string of events that damaged that person psychologically.

What do you know about it?

Nobody believes me when I tell them I've died in my dreams, they say that if I died in my dream, then I should have died in real life.  

I've dreamed of dying multiple times, it happens about every 6 months, and I don't know what it means.  

I die a different way each time, and it's very final, very eternal.  There's no emotion involved, it's neither bad nor good.  It's the only type of dream I have (besides some lucid dreaming) where there's no emotion.

At the end of the dreams I always end up in this dark place where there's nothing.  I never wake up right after, I never jump right into another dream.

If anybody can clarify this for me, or offer interesting ideas, I will aprreciate it.

I would like to read a couple good articles about clairavoyance and APing.  Can you refer me to any?

I've read some old studies of clairavoyance, but they were done by clairavoyants instead of scientists so there was a lot of room for error in their tests.

how do you know you can apply earthly laws of physics to God?  If God exists (which I doubt) then I also doubt that fundamental law applies to him since he is all poweful.

An octave is a way of measuring pitch.  An A note vibrates 440 cycles per second, while the octave above A vibrates 880 cycles per second and the A note below vibrates 220 cycles per second.  If you double or half the pitch, you have an octave.  

In western music, each octave is divided into 12 semitones; so the 1st note, the 13th note and the 25th note have the same qualities but are different in pitch.  

In eastern music, each octave is divided into 24 semitones, except in cases where the notes and octaves are neither named nor measured; music like Gamelan which comes from Bali and Indonesia.

I've never heard that there are only 7 or 8 octaves, but it could be true.


As far as attachments are concerned, I believe that everyone has them because I've never met anyone who doesn't have them.  They were only able to overcome them by understanding their situation, not by understanding attachment in general.

Many devout christians including St. Thomas Acquinas have been known to fall deeply into "faith crisis" where they doubted or refused to believe in God.

St. Thomas Acquinas believes faith crisis are just as important as faith, since you have to question your faith in order to understand it.  

The part I don't understand, is this:  Once you doubt your faith, what causes you to start believing again?  

I see how religions develop, they explain things that otherwise couldn't be explained.  Throughout history Gods have controlled the weather, the crops, lover's fertility and the fate of everyone who inhabits the world.  Religions explains miracles and tragedies.  And it explains the poor situation all humans are in, depending on how you define it.

An uninfluenced inhabitant on an untouched island would develop some notion of God but since I don't belive in God, I think the islander would worship a different God than the Christians.  

The islander's God would provide food and shelter, but would also punish fiercely with lava, bad weather, famine, etc.  

The christian God promises a reward or punishment after this life, but no promises to give anyone anything in this life.  

Once I started to understand that slaves don't deserve punishment, children and virgins don't deserve to be sacraficed, women aren't inferior to men, people aren't born sinners but they're made that way, and people aren't complacent sheep but they have a passionate desire to understand things, then I wondered; what do I need God for?  And I've never found a reason.  He made us pretty much self-suffecient.

The way I see it, God has promised to burn me in hell for all eternity if I'm bad, and if I'm good I get to be his faithful servant in heaven.  Sounds like a trick to me.

Any way, I am Agnostic because I don't believe we can understand God.  The more you try to define him, the more problems you create.  Even St. Thomas Acquinas, who spent his entire life trying to prove the existance of God and wrote several books (several thousand pages each) in an attempt to prove God exists, admitted that he never could succeed. In our world, God is a logical impossibility.  If he does exist somewhere, he refuses to participate here on earth and might as well not exist at all.

On a lighter note, I know quite a few people who openly claim to be christians but secretly are wiccan.  I also know people who claim to be Buddhist but are mostly christian.  They take what they like and leave the rest.

I know a lot of happy homeless people.  In SanFrancisco, they seem to outnumber the people with homes because there is so much money to be made there.  All of the tourists feel like they owe something to the less fortunate, and they all are willing to give.  
Ask the homeless, and they'll tell you they like the way things are, that they choose to be homeless.  Most of them don't have the skills to earn enough to afford the american lifestyle.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.  Teach him how to fish and you'll feed him for life.

Of course, just having food to eat isn't happiness.  I think happiness is when you get what you want, and it's easier to be happy when you don't want much.

Happyness is beer, sex and good sleep.  It's also children, hot chocolate and...did I say beer?

Anyhoo...some people say we should be concerned with our own happiness, and others say we should be concerned with the happiness of others (hedonism vs. utilitarianism).

I avoid this argument because it still hasn't defined happiness, even though most of easily recognize happiness when we see it.  

Happiness is (in my opinion) a state of being, or maybe a state of mind we experience when we are healthy, loved, and satisfied.

All I have done is question where you get your information, and why you believe it.  If that is all it takes to get in your face, I'd hate to run into you in the real world.  If I asked you those questions in person would you cry?  Run away?  Lash out with violence?  

You've never answered any of those questions.  Just like most people, you don't know why you believe things.  You just guess, you said it your self.

Maybe we should give you your own section in the forum: we'll call it "mustardseed's feelings" and I won't read it, because I'm not interested in your feelings.   If you want to talk about ideas, I'm interested in ideas.  Even other people's ideas.  

If I make people mad with my ideas then hopefully they spend some time thinking about them.  Then, if I am wrong, they will address my ideas in the forum and try to make me think.  

Or they can call me names the way a mature person would.

Very clever but this conversation has nothing to do with sin.  It does have something to do with Astral Projection; do you have anything to say abouut that?  Or are you foaming at the mouth?

Why should we think of God as a circle?  he only has a middle, no beginning or end?

What's kirlian technology?  Is that a star trek thing?

Just kidding.  You can't effectively block an attack.  

You can use physical objects like rocks and water to help you.

The only thing that really works is awareness; be aware of what's happening to you.  Other people can really attack you without you knowing, but they can't attack you when you know what's happening.

Work on your chakras.  Work, work, work them like you're exercising your body.  Use your frustration to motivate you to keep going.

As a side note, there are multiple studies proving the power of mental influence, and many were done at credible universities:

If a group of people pray for you, you will recover more quickly, you'll score higher in tests, you'll make more money, etc.  If people focus on hurting you, then bad things will happen.  The studies are out there, look them up.

Here are my recommendations, in all seriousness:

Spend more time exercising your body.

Spend more time exercising your chakras instead of focusing on self defense.

Spend more time alone, away from people especially your family.  I get the impression that they don't give you much time or space to yourself.  Staying in your room isn't good enough, you have to go someplace away from them.

Try meditating in the middle of the night when you can't sleep.

I also recommend drinking beer, having sex, fighting, exercising, and getting good food and good sleep.

I mostly use DBZ and Star Wars to get my self defense techniques, since they're based on real life.

The shower seems to help as much as having a fountain in the house, but not as well as crossing running water.  don't know why.  If you figure it out, let me know:)

I don't thing you can connect quantum physics to anything, since it is still in it's infantile stage and still doesn't connect to any other branch of physics including metaphysics.  

Plus, you're basing your theory on the assumption that spirits are made of energy.  There's no proof.

I don't see how spirits can be made of energy since energy and mass are easily transformed into eachother, but our spirit doesn't ever suddenly turn into mass.  Plus, the "energy" we feel with our spirit hands isn't ever picked up by high tech equipment during carefully controlled experiments.

Our spirit would have to be made of something other than energy and mass.

If you tried to stare me in the eyes and hold my hand I would punch you then call the cops.

But as far as empathy goes, you don't have to touch someone to be effective.  Unless you're at a club.  With that many people spreading their energy around how do you know who you are reading?

Plus, who wants to talk about their personal life at a club?

If you want to have "emapthic experiences" or do what I call reading people, I suggest you do the following:

Meet in a private but comfortable place and use tarot cards or crystal balls or tea leaves or some medium.  Even if you don't use the cards or tea leaves you will make him more comfortable (he/she will feel invaded if they think you can read their mind).  

Focus on your subject using whatever skills you have, and focus on any imagery or messages you get from them.  

If you are having a hard time getting messages, stall by asking them a generic question like "Do you remember being treated unfairly by your parents/siblings/spouse/friends/pets/etc.

While they jabber about whatever and do the stalling for you, ask your higher self to ask their higher self to convey a message to you.  Then display your mad skills and charge them for your time.

Have any of you ever had any experience with God or Satan that would prove the existance of either one of them?

It sounds like you've all based your information on philosophy or religious texts instead of experience.

I've had some experience with them, and I will recount it on a post called "Past lives" if you want to read it.
